All You Need To Know About Skilled Worker Visa
Due to the better standard lifestyle offered by the UK, we often describe the nation as a land of abundance in terms of opportunities.
With numerous people migrating to the country, it is becoming increasingly detail-oriented for workers to migrate in search of jobs. If you wish to work in the UK, you are more likely to have heard of a skilled worker visa.
Here, we go through the significance of a skilled worker visa, who is qualified to apply for one, and how a UK visa agency may assist in the process.
What is a skilled worker visa?
If a UK-based employer wants to hire a non-UK resident and have them relocate to the country, one option is to use a skilled worker visa. In this case, the person is hired for their special skill set which may not necessarily be available within the UK.
Generally, a work permit included the tier 2 general visa. But now, the trends have shifted, and a skilled worker visa is more likely to replace a tier 2 work permit. It has evolved to become a major route for immigration workers.
Any aspiring candidate can apply for sponsored visas directly by understanding the eligibility criteria. The application process can be hectic with a lot of legalities. Get in touch with expert visa consultants near you to understand the formalities better.
What is the key requirement for a skilled worker visa?
According to the skilled worker appendix, any applicant needs to score 70 points in total to qualify for the visa application.
The points are distributed in different categories, such as:
Job offer from a licensed employer
Language skills including speaking, reading, writing, and listening
A genuine vacancy that can be filled only by the overseas candidate
The wage given should be in accordance with the government norms
All these points are calculated separately to see if a person is eligible for the visa. For an individual to check the credential of the employer and see if they have the necessary license to offer a sponsored position could be difficult.
With the help of expert consultants, you can complete such tasks with ease.
The SOC code provided information about the job offer. It can verify the role, and the job description must match the eligibility criteria. Using incorrect SOC codes may lead to visa rejections.
Hence, it is recommended that you get in touch with expert consultants to minimize the chances of rejection.
If you are wondering why people are opting for this type of visa, read below to know more!
Why are people opting for a skilled worker visa?
A skilled worker visa is so much more than just a work permit. It is proof that the vacancy you filled is irreplaceable. The employer pays you for your skills which no other resident of the country possesses.
If you are a talented person struggling to find work and earn, a skilled worker visa would solve all your problems. As one of the highest paying countries in the world, working in the UK is sure to improve your economic status.

Advantages Of Recruiting An Immigration Consultant
You’ve decided after much consideration and introspection. You hope to leave your nation in search of professional opportunities abroad. It could be the promise of higher quality healthcare for your family, or it’s the promise of a more progressive school system for your kids. Whatever your motivations for moving, you’ll need to apply for and receive a visa from the nation you plan to go to.
Although it is possible to apply for a visa independently, it can be complex, perplexing, and time-consuming. You must first evaluate which key best suits your credentials and needs. The legalese found in most of the visa application documentation can intimidate those with a legal background. It is strongly recommended that you seek the assistance of a professional, licensed immigration consultant in such a situation.
If you need assistance figuring out which visa category you fall under or navigating the application and approval processes, consider hiring an immigration expert. In addition to assisting their clients in visa applications, some immigration consulting firms may help with other post-arrival logistics like finding a place to stay and exchanging currency.
One of the crucial questions to ask before hiring an immigration consultant is whether or not the benefits they provide are worth the money. We describe some benefits you might expect from working with UK student visa consultants in Hyderabad .
A Qualified Immigration Adviser can be hired to ease the procedure.
To simplify the complicated visa application process, hiring an immigration consultant is highly recommended. The immigration counselor can assist you in selecting the appropriate visa category and completing the application itself.
Spending money on an immigration counselor will be a wise investment.
Visa applications can be time-consuming and costly. For example, you need to become more familiar with the ins and outs of applying for a visa. In that case, you may have to relinquish your ambition of moving overseas permanently or start the application process all over again. In either case, valuable resources, such as time and money, would be wasted.
Moreover, in some circumstances, a person loses a large amount of money by applying alone, having his visa rejected, and then deciding to employ an immigration consultant, realizing that he would have been significantly better off if he had hired an immigration consultant the first place.
Professional immigration advisers know all the ins and outs of the visa procedure.
Visa procedures can differ widely between countries due to the wide range of possible applicants, required qualifications, and governments. However, the visa procedure can be challenging for the average person to understand. Your reprocessing application will be handled by someone familiar with the visa requirements of your destination country if you choose a licensed immigration counselor.
Assistance is available for the visa interview.
If you hire a reliable immigration consultant like Global Tree, they’ll do more than help you find the correct visa and fill out the necessary paperwork; they’ll also prepare you for the in-person visa interview by giving you advice on how to behave during the interview, the types of questions you might be asked, and mock interviews to build your confidence.

Update: Less than 3 days left to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme
28 June 2021
This is the latest information on the EU Settlement Scheme. You are receiving this because you have requested email updates from the UK Government.
EU Settlement Scheme – Less than 3 days left to apply
From today, Monday 28 June, there are less than 3 days left to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS), before the deadline on 30 June 2021.
This is a final reminder for all EU, EEA and Swiss citizens and their family members who were resident in the UK by 31 December 2020, to secure their rights in UK law by applying to the EUSS at www.gov.uk/eusettlementscheme so they can continue to work, study, and access benefits and free healthcare in the UK after 30 June 2021. It is free and straightforward to apply, and anyone applying before the deadline will have their rights protected while their application is processed.
An application must be made for every eligible child within a family. Parents should check if they need to apply to the EUSS for their children, even if they have already applied and been granted a status themselves.
If an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen and their family members have lived in the UK for many years or have a permanent residence document or EEA Biometric Residence Card (BRC), they still need to apply to the EUSS by 30 June 2021 to secure their existing rights in the UK.
Irish citizens and those with indefinite leave do not need to apply but may do so if they wish. British citizens, including naturalised British citizens don’t need to apply.
Time is running out
Secure your own existing rights or encourage eligible EU, EEA and Swiss citizens you know living in the UK to apply now online at www.gov.uk/eusettlementscheme
Help is still available
Support is available seven days a week. If you, or anyone you know, needs help with making an application to the EUSS a range of support is available including over-the-phone advice to more tailored one-to-support. View all the support services here.
If you, or someone you know is having technology difficulties in applying online, they should contact Assisted Digital on 03333 445 675 (Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm) or email them on [email protected]
You can also find details here of how to contact the 72 organisations across the UK that have received Home Office funding to help support EU, EEA and Swiss citizens, and their family members to apply. These organisations have received a further £4.5 million grant funding on top of the £17 million already provided, which will ensure the continued delivery of support post deadline and through until the end of September 2021.
Pending applications
Anyone who applies by the 30 June 2021 will have their existing rights protected pending the outcome of their application. Those who submit a valid application by 30 June are issued with a Certificate of Application, which can be relied on as proof of rights. Essentially, nothing will change for individuals until their application is decided.
The Home Office will contact any applicant where we need further information to progress their application.
Using your status
Those who have successfully applied to EUSS can access their pre-settled or settled status online, update their personal details, and get a ‘share code’ to provide their status securely to others at www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status
You should use this service to update the Home Office with any new documents you’ve been issued since applying. If you plan to travel from 1 July, you should also use this service to ‘add’ any document that you did not use to apply – so if you applied with your passport but plan to travel on a National ID card, you should use this service to update the Home Office with your National ID card. This will avoid any delays at the border when re-entering the UK, and you’re encouraged to update your documents as soon as possible before travelling
After the deadline
There’s less than 3 days to apply before the deadline, and all eligible applicants should do so if they can.
However, there remains scope, indefinitely, for a person eligible for status under the EUSS to make a late application to the scheme where there are reasonable grounds for their failure to meet the deadline. Every late application will be considered on its individual merits, and this guidance, published on 1 April, provides further details. Our support services will continue to assist applicants wishing to make late applications, once the deadline has passed.
Eligible close family members living overseas can apply to join an EU, EEA or Swiss family member who started living in the UK by 31 December 2020. They can apply to come to the UK at any point. More information on joining family members can be found on GOV.UK.
There is still time to apply by the deadline. If you are a relative, neighbour, friend of anyone who may be eligible, encourage them to apply today.
Kind regards,
Home Office Communications

UK Tier 2 General Visa consultancy in Hyderabad
www.magnificitconsuting.com  provides US,UK TIER 2,SOUTH AFRICA,CANADA PR,MALAYSIA,AUSTRALIA WORK VISAS CONTACT: MAIL:[email protected] CALL:9390915218,9052666558
UK Tier 2 Work Visa
The Tier 2 visa is now one of the most important entry routes into the United Kingdom for skilled workers who are citizens of countries outside of the European Economic Area. In all cases, if you are applying for entry under this visa scheme you MUST be in possession of a job offer and a Certificate of Sponsorship from a UK employer with a valid Tier 2 sponsorship licence. You must fulfil the requirements of the particular Tier 2 visa for which you are applying.
Tier 2 has four categories:
General: for people coming to the United Kingdom with a job offer to fill a position that cannot be filled by a settled worker. In 2011, an annual cap on the number of Tier 2 (General) visas was introduced. It currently stands at 20,700. People who earn £150,000 a year or above are excluded from the cap.
Intra Company Transfers: for employees of multi-national companies who are being transferred by an overseas employer to a skilled job in a UK-based branch of the organisation
Sports People: for elite sportspeople and coaches whose employment will make a significant contribution to the development of their sport at the highest level
Ministers of Religion: for those people coming to fill a vacancy as a Minister of Religion, Missionary or Member of a Religious Order *
UK Tier 1 – Post-Study Work Extension Visa
To qualify for inclusion under the Tier 2 (General) or the Tier 2 (Intra Company Transfer) visa, a job must require a skill level of S/NVQ level 3 or above as indicated in the codes of practice relevant to the sector and to the job.
Some people who are in the UK with other UK visas can apply under Tier 2 (General). For a complete list of visa categories eligible to switch into Tier 2. Please see Tier 2 - Switching from another scheme.
Points Based System (PBS) – Tier 2 (General) Migrants
Offer of skilled employment
Prospective employer holds a Sponsor License
Qualifications or experience relative to the role
The UK Border Agency (UKBA) replaced the old-style work permit with the new Tier 2 (General) visa category for skilled workers in November 2008. The Tier 2 visa is a point’s based category and has much in common with the Tier 1. The main difference in the Tier 2 category is that in order to make a Tier 2 application, you must already have an offer of employment, and your employer must be willing to sponsor you.
Some occupations such as engineering, healthcare and teaching are currently considered to be in such high demand in the UK that a shortened application process has been devised for the skilled worker. Other occupations may also qualify under Tier 2 providing appropriate advertising has been conducted to meet the resident labour market test.
Call to speak with a 1st Contact consultant to check if your occupation is on the shortage list and to start the Tier 2 process or complete the online assessment.
If your occupation is not on the shortage list, your employer must be able to demonstrate that the role cannot be filled by a suitably qualified or experienced resident worker. 1st Contact can assist you in an application providing you are qualified for the role on offer, the occupation is listed as a qualifying occupation for Tier 2 and you meet the point’s criteria.
How does it work?
Tier 2 (General) is a points based category. Points are awarded for the following
Qualifications;
Future expected earnings
Sponsorship
English language skills
Available maintenance (funds).
To be eligible for the Tier 2 work permit you must have qualifications, experience and salary as appropriate to your occupation. Each occupation has differing eligibility requirements.
What stages are involved?
There are 3 main steps involved in lodging an application under Tier 2.
Step 1: Sponsorship Licence:
The first stage in applying for Tier 2 is undertaken by the employer. The employer must apply directly to the UK Border Agency for a Sponsorship Licence. The UK Border Agency will assess the organisation to ensure it is genuine and has an operating or trading presence in the UK. The company’s Human Resource systems will be assessed, as will their compliance, civil penalties and criminal history. Documents required at this stage will vary depending on the type and structure of the business, but they will generally be required to provide financial records, bank statements, accounts, proof of any relevant registrations and/or listings, insurance, proof of premises etc
Step 2: Certificate of Sponsorship:
Once the company has been approved as a sponsor they can then apply for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for the position they would like filled by a non-resident worker. If the position is not listed as a shortage occupation then advertising must have taken place prior to this CoS application in order to meet the resident labour market test. Once a CoS is assigned the migrant can apply for their visa.
Step 3: Applying for the Tier 2 visa:
In this final stage the migrant will submit their application for the Tier 2 visa using their unique CoS number and proving they meet the Tier 2 points outlined above. In most instances this step will be applied for in the applicant’s home country or a country of which they are resident. To determine if you can apply for this within the UK or need to return to your home country to apply please call to speak with a 1st Contact consultant today. Or take the online assessment.

Study Computer Science in The United Kingdom
Why study computer science?
To be in the business of computers is to be into every business: almost every business – not just the e-commerce companies – is powered by computers. On top of that, individual identity itself is shaped by networked computers in this age of smartphones and omnipresent internet; that creates jobs for software developers who don’t serve any corporation. In short, if you can acquire marketable expertise in the field of computer science, and almost all kinds of expertise in this field are highly marketable, you are not going to lack employment opportunities and you can work on a job no matter where you are. You can work from the whole year round: an advantage that everyone noticed during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
Last but not the least, the business of computers is yet to get saturated. The people yet to attain computer literacy – or smart phone literacy – still number in billions. As the developing countries move their businesses online even further and underdeveloped countries begin to digitalize, the need for computer/smart devices will grow further. Both the manufacture of hardware and production of software will multiply in volume, creating even more opportunities for experts in the field.
Why study computer science in the UK?
The United States of America is the place where the modern computer – originally with valves in lieu of microchips – was born. The first organization (outside the academia) to actually use a general purpose computers was the US army which developed the ENIAC in 1945. Since the world was sharply divided in opposing politico-military camps during as well as in the aftermath of WWII, computing technology developed in America got shared with the USA’s closest ally, the UK, very early. Another reason why the study of computing took off in UK varsities was that the earliest software languages and interfaces – thanks to the American influence – were aligned with English. Today, many UK universities are at the forefront of CS, many of the CS departments conducting research for the world's top companies – in addition to doing research on their own.
Another factor that attracts international students to undergo CS programs in the UK is that it allows many of them to obtain a work visa once the course is done. The UK is notoriously hard to immigrate to for people in almost every profession other than nursing and computer science. The burgeoning software as well as hardware industry in the country offers the CS graduates good jobs, with starting salary upward of 25,000 pounds, and that job offer qualifies the candidate for a work permit, which – in turn – might lead to permanent residency.
Entry requirements
Typical International Baccalaureate requirements: 34 points. Typical A-levels requirements: ABB, with good grades in maths and computing. Typical IELTS requirements: 6.5 overall in IELTS Academic, with no lower than 6.0 in any of the 4 sections. If you haven’t studied in an IB or A levels school, you have to convert your scores to those scales in order to prove that you match the level.
Cost of doing the course
Tuition fees range from 12000 pounds per annum to 37000 pounds per annum. Cost of living will exceed 5000 pounds per annum.
Top universities to study Computer Science in the UK
University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, UCL (University College London), University of Edinburgh, King's College London (KCL), University of Manchester, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), University of Warwick and University of Bristol are currently considered the top colleges where to study CS in the UK. However, there are plenty of other choices.
Top Computer Science courses in the UK
BA in Computer Science, BSc in Biology and Computer Science, BSc in Computer Science and Economics, BSc in Computer Science and Management, BSc or BEng in Computer Science and Mathematics, BSc in Computer Science and Statistics, BSc in Computer Science and Psychology, BEng in Computing, BSc in AI, BSc in Human Computer Interaction, BEng in Computer Systems, BEng in Robotics and BSc in Robotics are some of the popular courses in Computer Science in UK universities.
Work while you study
As it is in most other western countries, foreign students are allowed to work part-time in the UK. An international student can work up to 20 hours per week during term-time and full-time during holiday breaks. But there are many restrictions and conditions one must fulfill in order to be allowed to work. Some of these conditions are set by the government and the rest are by the university where you will study. There are many universities which allow you to work only on campus and neither the university nor the government allows any student to work on any job if the student is less than 16 years of age. This puts the child prodigies who reach college very early at a slight disadvantage.
Most of the restrictions imposed by the government will be stated in the visa stamped on your Tier 4 passport (student visa for people above 16). So there is little chance that you will experience doubt while considering whether you should take up a certain opportunity or not.
Healthcare benefits for international students
International students are neither required nor actually need private medical insurance when studying in the UK. If you are applying for student visa, it costs just an extra £470 per year to gain access to the NHS, which is arguably the best nationwide healthcare system in the world. You pay this fee during your visa application and it covers free medical treatment (including emergency or hospital care, should you need it) and dental care at a reduced price at any NHS dentistry.
It is always a good idea to register with a GP (general practitioner) as soon as you have settled down. A GP is a doctor who deals with most general health problems. Most GP surgeries offer patients a choice of whether they see a male or female doctor. So female students need not see a male doctor.
Internships and placement opportunity
You will not be short of opportunities to intern in the UK itself while you study. Most of the internship opportunities are in the private sector though the government offers internship as well. Among the different sectors of industry that offer many internship opportunities to international students are media and communication, banking and finance, online marketing, market research and information technology.
In areas like information technology and online marketing, it is possible to get a remote assignment in another country, especially in another English speaking one. However, some lucky students might secure an internship to be undergone in person in the US or Canada.
Postgraduate study opportunity
Postgraduate opportunities galore, especially for science students who want to build a career in research.
