It was a genuine privilege and a joy to be the first to see and photograph Morag Myerscough’s installation, The Future Belongs To What Was As Much As What Is, on Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland this week. The pavilion stands on the site of the original northern gatehouse at Housesteads Roman Fort, which dates back to 122AD. Visitors can climb the stairs to balconies and see how the roman guards would have surveyed the landscape, protecting the northern most border of the roman empire. A fabulous piece in a breathtaking location.
