We now return to our regularly scheduled space dwarves. Since I last played House Orlock, they got a massive upgrade with new rules, roles and weaponry. So here is Hammerin Herriette, the Squat Miner's Union's Arms Master. While most of the Union are actual miners in their 9 to 5, Herri is an enforcer. She patrols the hive to keep it safe from scabs, Emperor Botherers, and rival gangs. In battle the boys lay down covering fire while Herri moves in for the kill with her Arc Hammer. Rumor has it she once knocked a Chaos Marine's head clear off with it. And with that my gang is playable. Continuing my experiments with contrast paints, I am once again reminded how much I hate Gulliman Flesh. It's just too dark, and the undercoat I used is not helping matters. Might have to just mix regular paints into contrast medium next time. Snow is the leader of the Squat Miner's Union, or at least the leader of this particular enforcer squad. Born a princess in one of the Hive's noble families, Snow was forced to flee into the underhive when political machinations left her with a price on her head. The abhumans who lived and worked in the mines under the Hive took pity on her. In time she discovered a talent for leadership, violence and heavy ordinance. Now she's leading them to drive out the gangs that plague the Underhive, one neighborhood at a time.
