A/N: Hello! I haven't written in so long but here is something that I have been working on since the WC (she's a short one I know). I didn't post it earlier because I was moving and starting a new job but everything has calmed down and I had time to edit it. Please let me know what y'all think and hopefully, I can post the 2nd part soon! If you like my writing maybe through in a suggestion and I'll try my best! :D

'I've Loved You For So Long - The Aces'
Lucy and I had met, informally, in 2015 in Canada, we never played against each other in that World Cup but that didn’t stop us from bumping into each other at Tim Hortons. The couple of times that we ran into each other at the World Cup caused small conversations and laughs that left me wanting more. God, even just her smile left me wanting.
I didn’t message her throughout our respective seasons right after the World Cup but sometimes I’d click on her Instagram profile and just scroll and see her thrive in Manchester City. Well I did drum up the courage to message once.
‘It’d probably be weird if I messaged her out of the blue right?... I mean it has been weeks since Canada?’ I told myself as I lay on my small apartment couch in Portland.
My thumb hovered over the send button with a slight tremble.
“Fuck it” My thumb harshly hit the screen and the quick ‘Wanted to say that you had an amazing tournament. Shame we never played against each other ♥️That goal against Canada was a banger meant to send that in Canada lol!” message was delivered.
I swear I threw my phone onto the other side of my couch and took a shower not expecting to see two notifications sent five minutes after me.
‘Lucy Bronze liked your message’
‘Lucy Bronze: ‘means a lot. Hope to see you again soon, miss world champion ⭐️⭐️⭐️’
I didn’t notice the smile growing as I looked at the notifications on the screen. I probably read it 20 times, setting the phone down on my coffee table and pacing the room debating whether I should respond or what I even should respond with.
“Lucy is funny, maybe I can joke about how it’s been long or maybe just a ‘feeling is mutual’” I said aloud to myself.
‘Why am I getting worked up about this?” My hair is now messy by how many times I redid my ponytail pacing the room for 13 minutes. I kept procrastinating and just settled with getting ready for bed.
‘I’ll just respond tomorrow,’ I said, confidently, plugging in my phone and placing it on my nightstand. That sentiment lasted about 2 minutes before I walked quickly back into my room picking up my phone, opening the message, and liking Lucy’s before responding.
Y/N: I would love to see you again! I hope it's somewhere other than Tim Hortons even though I loved that place lol 🙂
My phone immediately locked as I got into bed and turned away from my phone. I closed my eyes tightly trying to go to sleep quickly so that in the rare probability that Lucy would continue the conversation, I could deal with it tomorrow morning, maybe ask Klingenburg for advice. Though she might scold me for fraternizing with the enemy, jokingly of course. Defenders knew other defenders right? Kling would find it funny that a right winger is flirting with a right back.
My thoughts were interrupted by one vibration and then two more in succession. My body slowly turned over to see my phone lit up still and then slowly dimming. My hand, subconsciously, went over, picked up my phone, and opened the messages seeing Lucy liking my message.
Lucy: Let me buy you a cup whenever you’re in Manchester; there are some cafes you’d like here.
Lucy: I would love to show you around 🙂
I smiled at the messages and immediately replied without a second thought
Y/N: I will let you know because I do need a vacation 🥲
Y/N: And I would love to give you a tour of Portland, the coffee capital of the world. Worth it.
I stared at the messages until I saw a little heart appear on my last message. The little dots of a message incoming made me nervously tap the side of my phone.
Lucy Bronze: I’ll take that as a promise 😉
Y/N: And I expect that cup of coffee in Manchester is a promise too ☺️
Lucy would only like the message and I would promptly go to sleep after waiting 15 minutes for a message that never came. I tried my best to not think about it but the feeling that came from reading her messages and the smile that would creep onto my face…I wouldn’t forget.
Hayley Raso came into my life slowly after that. Glances turned to long stares. The lingering touches throughout practice became more than a pat on the back for a job well done. The smiles and laughs echoed off the walls of Providence Park as we walked to our cars until it was just to my car.
The weekly movie nights at my place turned into watching a show and cuddling together after practice for days on end. Another toothbrush appeared in the bathroom and suddenly my queen-sized bed wasn’t as empty.
Mornings were met with a quick kiss, a hug from behind, and sweet nothings whispered in each other's ear.
Going to practice wasn’t done alone anymore and it was nice to have someone waiting on you if you had to stay behind to see the physio.
It was easy since we were both playing for Portland at the time and the team weren’t surprised when we told them.
Little by little the Australian would appear in my Instagram photos and I in hers.
The one that “broke the internet” was Hayley’s post of her kissing me on the cheek at the end of a game when the USWNT and Australia had a friendly. The one that sealed the deal for everyone was my Christmas post of photos of the party I had at my apartment. One, a particular one at the end, Hayley was in my lap while I kissed her.
Something, however, nagged at me every time I saw a certain person's name pop up “Lucy Bronze liked your post” but I ignored it. I now know it was the feeling of the “what if” and “what could have been”.
‘Did Lucy not want this with me? Maybe that’s why she never followed up. I probably said something to scare her away. Hayley didn’t run away’ I remember thinking to myself and as if on cue two arms snake their way around my waist.
“Everything alright babe?” Hayley said into my back, I, immediately, felt my shoulders relax at the sound of Hayley’s voice.
I whispered, “I'm alright, just read some rude comments. You know how some people get”. I lied to Hayley; I was happy in our relationship and shouldn’t be wondering about the “what could have been” with someone that wasn’t her.
Hayley would then go on to say that she’s told me to never look at the comments because when have the mean ones ever done something for us? She’d led me back to the bedroom to get ready for bed as we had an early practice but not after she promised to take my mind off the “negative comments”...it worked.

She Believes Cup March 6th, 2016,
Lucy Bronze’s POV
We hadn’t played the United States in Canada which is a shame to not be able to play the future World Champions. Once, we had heard that we would be playing them in the She Believes Cup. I was excited for multiple reasons.
The US call up was released and I would be playing against (y/n). Since the World Cup, (Y/N) was making a name for herself as a strong right winger and playmaker for Portland and the National team.
On the pitch, she seemed cold and intimidating, but I met her as the complete opposite.
I was able to just watch her tap her lip with her finger with her US cap on backward as she decided which pastry she wanted with her coffee at that Tim Hortons. She whistled quietly as she waited her turn and then adorably, fumbled through her order. Then humming to herself happily as she waited on the side with her warm croissant covered by a napkin.
I was in awe of her. I had seen her play before and was always impressed by what I’d seen but never played against her.
As I went up to order my own coffee and pastry I noticed her scrolling through her phone, laughing to herself. (y/n’s) eyes crinkle when she laughs or smiles really big. She hadn’t noticed me when I stood next to her, also waiting for my drink, there I took notice that she was at least three inches above me and that she sticks out her tongue when she is reading something.
I breathed in and said loud enough for her to hear as she read, “I won’t tell your trainer if you don’t tell mine” I shook my little bag containing the coffee cake I had just ordered. I chuckled at the little jump she gave when she noticed me.
“Shit, sorry you scared me” a nervous laugh leaving her mouth
I extended my hand, “Sorry bout that. I’m Lucy, Lucy Bronze with England”
She completed the handshake, “(y/n) (l/n) with the US…obviously” She pointed to her hat that had USA stitched on the back.
The conversation had good enough banter that we both remained at a table for about 2 hours talking about life and football. I could tell you that I fell for the way she looked at me with her gentle (y/e/c) eyes as she described the antics of her new golden retriever puppy named Chili she had adopted when she went to Portland.
I never really was intimidated or made nervous by any American player, especially on the pitch but watching her warm up with an icy cold expression during the She Believes Cup match made me question if the person I met at Tim Horton’s was the same person.
I don’t think I was nervous but I lost count of how many times I would try to get a glimpse of her as she warmed up. Every time I did I’d feel the blush on my cheeks as I remembered the short text conversation that we had shortly after the World Cup.
I regretted so much for not following up immediately; I got scared. If (y/n) asked me today why I didn’t respond, I wouldn’t have known what to say to be honest. Lack of courage was what Jill had told me as Jordan patted my back while reading the messages.
The moment that I finally gained the courage to message (y/n) on Instagram to invite her to Manchester for a visit, was the day when I saw the picture of Hayley Raso kissing her cheek at a friendly. It was the first thing I saw when I opened the app to message her.
I remember my stomach dropping like the feeling when you don’t feel the bottom of a pool.
I had it all planned in my head that she’d accept and I had a mini itinerary in my head of things she would’ve enjoyed and sightseeing spots. But the photo of her with her face buried in Hayley’s neck as she hugged her made the feeling worse.
Raso had beat me to (y/n) and she didn’t even know it. I kicked myself for not being brave. I would’ve had her in my arms sooner. I tell her all the time that I fell for her immediately and from meeting her I wanted more of her every passing day.
Just seeing her across the field filled me with the tucked away feelings I had for her. I remember thinking…What I would have given to be there again talking about the most mundane things over coffee. Hearing her try her hardest to tell a joke but failing as she laughs remembering the punch line or even unconsciously speaking with an English accent when we spoke… God, I really loved her for so long.

Alright friends, I am here to tell y'all I am going on vacation this weekend and through most of next week! It's been literal years since my ass had one (2019 for my honeymoon to be exact) and I'm in desperate need of a break. Though it was a literal last minute thing and I now only have two and a half days to plan and pack and prep a 3 year old for their first vacation...
Story update-wise that means y'all won't be getting much from me the next week. I was hoping to stockpile a couple of updates because I wasn't planning to leave for another week, but schedules worked out differently. So far chapter five of You're Safe With Me is almost written! I think I'll work on ATYs next update after that to hopefully get some Matt content ready. And I'll probably run that poll for FFTD soon to figure out a name for Matt and Reader’s new furry addition before I work on that story.
Obviously fanfic is not my priority over vacation though, but I'm also vacationing with a toddler who takes a nap daily in which I can't do much so I'll probably still write a bit or maybe post something I have finished while I'm gone. It just might pop up as a surprise if I do! I just wanted y'all to know what's going on with me content-wise this next week! I've been writing nonstop since last November and I could use a minute to turn off my brain before I come back with more ideas 😆

hello! funny you should ask - i was going to post something about this very q today, so v good timing on your part. (thank you for asking + caring!) the headlines are: i have no sneak peeks, but i do have an update, and also another little thing i'm going to post tonight that hopefully will take the edge off the update and lack of sneak peek...
basically - i'm having to pause writing chapter 13 just for a little while. i'm submitting my phd in mid-march, and while i am buzzing to be nearly done with it and to be coming to the end of a long (long) road, i am in full madwoman mode knuckled down trying to get that done and dusted and over the finish line. for that reason, i've pushed back writing and posting chapter 13 of beasts, and am planning to put it out in the second half of march. quite a lot of chapter 13 is already written, but it needs to be filed away and not touched til the diss is out of my hair, for my sanity, hence the delay. i'm so sorry to have gone off schedule these past couple of months (we were doing so well!), but diss must come first. i am already v v v much looking forward to getting back on track once this next life chapter is over and having more time for fun writing rather than footnote wrangling.
what i do have, by way of bribe/apology, is a new little hinny drabble called the room at the top of the house (update: now posted on ao3!) it's a harry pov missing moment set in the christmas chapters of beasts that i wrote ages ago and found on the google drive and tidied up over the weekend. it's sad and horny and a bit nsfw and basically me trying to pay you all off and get you to forgive me for delaying chapter 13 by giving you harry pining his socks off. i had planned to post tonight anyway, so it'll be yours v shortly. hope you like it!

This took me ages to decide. I'm actually not even proud of it because I think it is necessarily particularly well written, but because it's a topic I have very strong feelings about and it felt so validating when I saw how many people resonated with it!

17) Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
Depends on the story! Royally Whipped I'm mostly writing in order since I don't have much time to write the chapters, so I'll only write down ideas for future scenes. For my new WIP I've written parts of different chapters already. In the chapters themselves I jump around and hardly every write one in chronological order.
18) Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines?
No. I have a very, very rough outline, but it mostly only has specific scenes or emotional stages I want to write towards. I never keep to any outlines and overthrow them within minutes after making them, so I no longer bother with them lmao.
27) How do you feel about collaborations?
I did one ages ago, when I was still in school. It was a lot of fun and I'd definitely be open for it again, but it certainly takes up more time and you need someone you can trust in.
29) If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?
Honestly? The answer is none, just because I don't think I could do any of my favorite stories justice. Not because I think my writing is bad, but because I love them as much because of the special something they have thanks to the author who's written them. Wouldn't say no to a sequel or prequel written by them though asfdhsfdkja
37) Talk about your current wips.
I've briefly talked about my next projects here. But my BIG WIP's right now are Royally Whipped which is very close to being done (probably two more chapters) and then #Simon's revenge.
Some people have been asking for a social media chapter for RW, which is extremely flattering, and I love reading those, but don't even know how to begin putting one together. So, that might happen, if I ever get my shit together (or someone else volunteers to do it ahsjfdasj).
Simon's renevge is a AU where Wille isn't Prince (still rich tho) and meets Simon under... interesting circumstances. Simon is seeking revenge on someone else and poor Wille becomes emotional collateral damage. It'll be less fluffy than RW, though hopefully just as fun. It's very gremlin!simon (channelling all his dodgeball energy). I have a moodboard that I might post soon and maybe some snippets leading up to it's release, if anyone's interested.

Important Announcement and Updates
Hello everyone, Smite here!
Dear readers of my blog, loyal followers, writer friends and everyone in between, I got some news for y'all. Things will change and partially already have and I feel like I should give a heads up about it in a single post so you're not confused as to what has happened.
But first of a word from our sponsor a big thank you for the insane Notes-Totals on my last couple of fics. There is a lot of 900+ and already a fuckton of love for "Just Testing", and leaving aside all the nonsense I wrote in this fic, I'm still very grateful for the support. Thank you!
Now to the upcoming changes/wtf is actually happening:
1. I will take an (warning, evil words ahead) indefinite hiatus from writing fics in the manner I did in the past/up until now.
What does this mean?
"Are you retiring? Are you going to delete your stories? Are you not going to be online/active in Discord anymore?"
NO, NO and NO.
I have no plans to (ever) retire and if I would, a 31some would look pitiful it would be with a feeling of certainty and geniune satisfaction (at least I hope so).
I just need a break from this neck-breaking pace of forcing every ounce of horniness and creativity from my head onto the Docs to the point where it's all just a mush of nudity, sex and filth and words and chaos... I'm losing grip on wtf I write at times.
This hiatus is to reset myself, to test other things without feeling forced to post them or at least something just to be on a streak, just to push that number higher and higher. I will def continue creative writing, just don't expect me to post it cuz it won't be all kpop.
BASICALLY: Stories will be released, but they will be rarer and most likely longer and hopefully still to your liking, from a story and smut perspective (unless it's full-on fluff/angst).
2. Uni will come like three big waves and during the strongest fucking tsunami, I have to do a boatload of other things on top. I'll be busy, I need to be focused, failure is not an option. Freeing myself from the (internalized) pressure of "having to post a fic this week" will help me to push through this mess.
I'll miss you when exams start and I'll come back to you, don't worry.
3. MoA will continue until Part 100, then there will be a two year special (because dayum, that's how long I am doing this already) and before/after the special, MoA will enter a new phase:
Instead of doing an appreciation post every Monday, I will do MoA's whenever I've read one to five stories that I want to appreciate. They will pop up every now and then, in different formats, to show you what I read and enjoy and who you should follow for more good stuff.
My intention with MoA was always to appreciate something, never to exclude someone or tell them that their writing id bad because they have been featured less than others. I want to continue this with more heart than before, so I'm going to break out from the regular pattern after Part 100.
4. Regarding the update I send a while back with all the series' and stuff: I still have intentions to keep my promise and write them, just with less urgency and pressure. The final request from back in January 2022 (lol) will also be written.
I will try my best, I thank you for your patience.
5. The final part of L4 and another fic are big guarantees to be released soon, so get ready, cuz I won't hold back. Remember: I'M STILL HERE! I GOT A LOT OF STUFF...

Writing Update ✍
Hello my dears!
Right now I have a pretty busy and CRAZY life because of my new job that I really like. But, soon I will have a business trip for a week where I hope to have some time to boost my WIPs since I will have some time alone, lol :D
So, I'll list here the future updates.
Commissions — I have several that I'll try to finish this month.
Prompts for 2k Celebration — Everyone who sent me requests, don't worry, they will all be finished and posted.
Call Me Babydoll — I almost finished 2 new chapters and hope to publish them soon, I'm sorry that I had to pause this story for a while.
Headcanons — I'll try to post at least one headcanon per week.
Sweet Like a Cupcake — I have a finished chapter that will be published soon, and I'm also thinking about the endgame, because this story is already too long, even though I love it so much.
Shadow Lady — I AM SO SORRY GUYS FOR NOT UPDATING FOR SO LONG. I wasn't in the right mood, but hopefully I'll get back to it when I'm done with other stories.
Unravel Desire and The Light in the Darkness - both miniseries will have their finale. But a little later.
Ask Box — I'm not taking requests right now because I have a lot to write, so I won't promise that everything in my ask box will ever be written, but I hope to write as many promtps as I can.
NSFW Rambling — This is mostly for fun, I use it to chill and practice in between writing my main stories, the idea of this thing is that you can choose how the scenario will go by voting in polls. I really enjoy it by far!

Announcements
~ Cruise ~
I'm going on a cruise from 07/15/2023-07/23/2023! I really shouldn't have, but my family peer pressured me into it and now I can't get my money back if I back out so I'm going anyway lol.
I paid extra to have WiFi in my cabin, however I don't know how good it will be. I refuse to pay the ridiculous amount of money to use the data on my phone out there. That being said, my online time will be limited.
If for any reason I cannot access my internet or have issues getting on Tumblr @whatthefishh will give you all an update letting you know. (She hasn't confirmed this with me yet but I assume she will lol)
I'm going to be trying to get some works written ahead of time and scheduled to post while I'm away so it will be like I never left! (except I won't be able to respond much).
~ Masterlist ~
My masterlist is ALMOST complete. Once I'm done with it this time I will NOT be changing it again (unless my aesthetic changes but that will only be a cosmetic update). I'm happy with the way it's organized right now and I don't think it can get any better than it is personally lol. (I'm very proud of it please praise me)

I'm working on an FAQs list to hopefully mitigate some of the repeat questions I get, or so I can just link them instead of having to respond to each individual question.

Hellooooo, it's yo girl with an update!
Let's start with the meh news first...
I don't know how much I'll get to writing within the first couple of months of 2024 since my final (and I mean final final ever) exams are coming up at uni and I'm therefore studying my brains out for my degree.
I have some stuff in the pipeline already that I really want to write for Genshin and HSR but I might be a bit slower with that. But I am still writing and actively trying to squeeze some time for it in! You may also always entertain me with asks if you fancy.
I've decided to move the garden event I had started to another date. Meaning: I'll cancel it for now. I know I haven't written anything for it really but my health got in the way in the latter half of 2023 and now real life is kicking my ass - I'll reintroduce it as soon as I have the time (& hopefully also health) for an event again. I'm super duper sorry. I had every intention to write something with the prompts you sent and also really loved the concept...😭
All of the meh stuff out of the way though!
I have started working on a personal original project and I have started drafting the story a couple of days ago. I'm planning to release it as a webcomic. I'll keep you posted! In my usual fashion, it will be romantic & angsty and include exclusively OCs of mine. Would mean the world to me if some of you would also check it out, once I'm ready to release it into the wild 🥺🫶🏻

First of all, thank you, thank you very much for drawing Aoi as the guardian of the clock
I had written an anon asking what it would look like (ignore that anon plz I wrote it at night and it's embarrassing, sorry).
And I'm very excited about the dimensional jumper Teru fic with all the ways Teru could interact and I'm very excited.
But I do feel kind of sad because aka's fic isn't winning in the poll,Don't get me wrong phantom thieves are going to have interesting interactions like the fact that first of all the ones from ladrob au have that Teru and Akane dynamic that I love and I don't know how to describe it, in addition to the fact of the context of that universe, But I met you through aka rl fic so nostalgia hits hard since I was a person who waited for the chapters, I still liked the fact that although you didn't finish the fic you left ideas of how it was going to end which I loved and I thank you infinitely.
So I'm sad that you only chose the one with the most votes and not the two with the most votes, but I know it's tiring to write and your fics are very good no matter what you write, you're going to finish me off, I'm leaning toward the hxh fandom xD.

Aka may have been my first really fleshed-out fic on Tumblr, so it's been a while! I don't think I'll ever get back to his AU now that it lost the poll (unless is a one-shot/or a slightly tweeked version of it. Maybe...) :( but it warms my heart that the au stuck with ya, and the ideas I shared for the possible future of the fic were appreciated <3
the dimension hop fic is mostly a blank doc as of now, I only really started writing after the polls were over, so it will take some time to finish, stay strong! But it makes me hyped that you're so excited for it! I'll share a snippet as soon as I finish a full scene from it! Hopefully you'll enjoy the eventual brand-new aus on it too.
I am not sure if you enjoy my hxh content more, or if you are starting to like hxh because of me, (it just be like that with translators no worries) but I am glad you like all aus :D

I might have missed it but do you have a backstory for Ciel and Donovan
i got so excited at this ask ngl xD so I started ranting about my beans lol so i hope this answers your question even if it might be in a roundabout way.
yes, indeed I do! (i have 700 posts so i can see why they are hard to find especially cause i can't tag xD)
i have a few animations for Donovan that I have posted on here. and I'm working on either making a more explained version of the animations that isn't a music video but more of story format animation or a written story, depending on what i have time for in my current situation, thought that might be a long time coming since I have a very packed schedule. ToT
Though I do have au animation and a few small writings that should be coming soon!
Ciel's backstory is still in wip stages, working out his emotions with his family interactions, and how i want his social life to be portrayed. But I should be having clips of his story out in the next month or so so keep an eye out if you are interested. As of yet though no gt interactions for his story. Just a lot of angst and sadge.
if you were interested in their first meeting here on earth, that story is on a back burner, but imagen quiet kid and sunshine child becoming friends, then high school sweethearts, this one I'm probably going to be writing, maybe later animating if I do want to subject my darlings to more animation xD
maybe I'll add that to my new years resolutions! who knows?

Like I said, backhanded compliments. Mostly on MTT because people didn't like the way I wrote reader for a bit, but it's a slow burn. Also weirdly on some Maya fics? Because people thought I was writing a Maya/Carina and that Carina was out of character when... she wasn't... in the fic...

My Villanelle one. I love that one so much but like... I don't think there's much interest in it and I kind of have turned my attention elsewhere.

I genuinely do not know. Maybe that I can capture a character's voice well sometimes? Y'all tell me.

I feel like I'm way too fucking repetitive and also punctuation has never been my strongest thing. The more German I learned in undergrad the worse my English punctuation and grammar got.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I mean I do it a tiny bit for Carina, but my Italian is severely limited to 1.5 classes of undergrad. Otherwise, unless there's randomly a German speaking character I'll write for in the future... I don't like doing it.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Like ever? Technically Twilight fanfics lol but that was way back in the day. Officially for this blog and stuff? Criminal Minds and BTVS at the same time.

I just binge read Living Arrangements today and it’s so good! Do you have a chapter upload schedule, i’d love to know when the next chapter is up!! <3
I'm so glad you're enjoying it! I don't have a regular schedule for posting - life gets busy, and with the best will in the world I find that when I post is pretty erratic. I also tend to write pieces of it all over the place, so I'm not always working on just the next chapter at any given time, which does mean that the next chapter might be a little slower to come out, but I have huge swathes of future chapters already written and waiting for me to fill in the gaps and shape them into a coherent form. Your best bet, if you're on AO3, is to subscribe so that you get notified whenever I post something new. Otherwise, I also post anything here on tumblr as well, so check in from time to time and it'll be here.
And getting lovely comments like this is always motivational 🥰 Hopefully I'll have more roommates drama for you soon!

February Commissions Upcoming
Hello, everyone! First of all, don't worry, the Belch Rankings aren't over yet. I just have had a VERY tiring and hectic couple of days and haven't had time to get to all the new ones. XD I'll get back to them HOPEFULLY between things tomorrow. But now to business!
Commissions will reopen about ten days from now, on the 16th of this month, unless something changes. If something DOES change - if I need to open earlier or later - then I will write another journal letting everybody know.
There will be five slots. The new price of $15 per thousand words will be enforced. There will be discount options, which I have not figured out yet. If you get a story featuring either one of my OCs or one of the characters on the discount list as a major protagonist/antagonist, your story will be discounted to $10 per thousand words.
I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that these five slots will fill out EXTREMELY fast. For those who do not get in, I will create a Waiting List (which will remain private, visible only to myself). The Waiting List will work like this: if anybody in those five slots drops out, for any reason, the first person on the Waiting List will be contacted and asked if they wish to take their place. This will go on down the queue as necessary.
THOSE ON THE WAITING LIST WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR RESERVATIONS THE FOLLOWING ROUND. This will be either March or April; originally it was going to be April, but recent developments mean it may be March, instead. I will let people know as soon as I am aware. IF THE FOLLOWING ROUND IS ALL CLEARED OUT AS A RESULT, then commissions will PUBLICLY reopen the next available month; that would be May, regardless. I will not bother opening publicly, obviously, if I already have enough people to fill out that month.
If you are uncertain about anything I have said, and want clarification on meaning, contact me via PM, either using Notes or another chat system, such as Telegram or Discord. If you are curious about what I may or may not write, go to my Commission Info.
ONE MORE THING: Trades. In the past, I have been doing lots and lots of trade pieces, and that has been bogging me down. I have decided that, this year, I am going to severely cut down on trades. I have decided to allow one - AND ONLY ONE - trade piece; it is very long, and it will be done over the course of several months, with each chapter of the trade being written following a round of comms. This is the ONLY trade I have signed up, and for now, I will keep it that way. After June, when I hit my halfway point for the year, I MIGHT see about doing more, depending on how everything has gone up to that point.

wip wednesday 🌸
i was tagged by our beloved pals @squidyyy23 and @ardent-fox in one of my favorite activities! and i actually have something to share this time, because i just started working on something new. i've got a chapter written of something that will be formatted a bit like cinematic in that I'll be posting a chapter a day once it's finished, but it's thematically different. i have no idea when it will be done because, again, i only have one chapter (mostly) completed. but hopefully soon! who knows. anyway, here's the beginning of said chapter in which our boys indulge in some uhhhh shibari. because i've lost my mind maybe. not really nsfw below the cut, but under a cut anyway just in case. this is subject to heavy editing, of course. 🔥
Ian went fucking hard when Mickey expressed interest in rope.
It was a casual comment to start, really, just wanting to tell Ian about something he’d seen in porn. But as the conversation deepened, when Ian really wanted to know how Mickey felt about it, he conveyed that although he’d never been tied up like that, he was starting to think he’d like to try it.
Ian enthusiastically dove in head first, and actual play didn’t come until over a month after the first time Mickey brought it up.
He signed up for four expensive weeks of introductory workshops, something Mickey didn’t even know existed. He resisted attending with Ian, and to his relief Ian didn’t try to make him, understanding that he’d feel a little out of his depth exploring all of this in a studio full of strangers.
There were also the online tutorials which Ian studied with all the seriousness of a freshman honor student. He purchased lengths of the highest quality hemp rope he could find, and he spent solo afternoons experimenting with self-ties in the bedroom mirror, sat on the floor in his underwear with his chest bound in simple harnesses, legs wrapped intricately.
Their sex life persisted all the while, obviously. But tying Mickey was off the table until Ian felt confident enough in his ability to do it safely and well. He wanted to do it right. He wanted Mickey to feel good.
And now Mickey is finally reaping the rewards of his husband’s studying and solo practice, sitting naked in the middle of their bed as Ian moves around him and weaves him in, harness taking shape.
He's no stranger to being restrained, but this is different. He immediately understands why people like this. It feels good, the way his husband has to pay attention to and work with his body, has to touch him in a way he never has. Bind him in a way he never has. Around his ribs. Beneath and over his pecs, between them, framing them. Over his shoulders. Woven and knotted in the back. Tail of the rope pulled, tightening all of it snug against him. He releases a sigh when Ian finishes, and his hands come up to pet at the rope crossing his chest. He likes how it presses into his skin. He likes that he feels encased, even though it’s a relatively small amount of rope compared to other ties he’s seen. He likes that it's Ian that put him in this. He feels hot.
Ian pets over his shoulders, leans forward and kisses the back of his neck.
“Feelin’ alright so far?” he asks.
“Yeah,” Mickey mumbles. “You’re good at this.”

the classic end-of-year fic meme
For reference, here's what I did last year. This was a weird and sad writing year towards the back half because of a very negative experience I had with the Heartstopper fandom in July. I've vague- and traumablogged about it before, so I won't rehash it too much here, but the experience impacted my productivity (RIP posting every Monday) and my relationship to writing.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted?
About what I predicted. Despite what happened, Heartstopper continues to be creatively inspiring.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
Do Revenge, I think. And Heartstopper, still.
What’s your own favorite story of the year?
I really like "baptized by fire." And "made up my mind to make a new start" is a close second.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I wrote some fics anonymously! It gave me a lot of freedom to explore new pairings and go into more detail, which are skills that I've taken into fics that I post "regularly."
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year?
I have a Notes doc of all my fanfic ideas, so hopefully I'll tackle some of them. I'd like to dust off more of my drawerfics, too, which is something I'm proud of doing this year.
From my past year of writing, what was…
My best story of this year: "baptized by fire"
My most popular story of this year: “objects in motion" (Side note: my goal last year was to finish it, so yay me!)
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: I didn't have this question last year, but I'm going to include it this year because I sent someone a gift fic and they never acknowledged it.
Most fun story to write: I really enjoyed writing "made up my mind to make a new start," and I'm still super proud of the title besides.
Story with the single sexiest moment: Well, I basically only write erotica, so this is a bit difficult, but I remember the kitchen scene in "objects in motion" being hot.
Most “holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you” story: Nothing comes to mind.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: My Rock of Ages fic. It's only 2.6k words, but I enjoyed getting into Patricia's head.
Hardest story to write: "baptized by fire" required as much research as it did writing time, which taught me that I love research-heavy fics and historical fiction. So although it was hard, it was very rewarding.
Biggest surprise: "hey angel" because despite my Doctor Who days, I hadn't written magic realism before.
Most unintentionally telling story: Not any one story, I don't think. I sprinkle bits of myself in everything I write.
Favorite Opening Lines / Introductions: I remember really liking the opening of "everything i've got" as soon as I wrote it.
Favorite Closing Lines: "This is the kind of the life Nick needs, the life he deserves. And now it’s finally his." (from "baptized by fire")
Favorite Lines from Anywhere: Picking individual lines is so difficult! I'll choose two:
"The moment tilts and becomes – well, not charged, but a precipice." (from "everything i've got")
"Maddie is frozen in amber in the California town she told him she was headed to." (from "made up my mind to make a new start")

Was checking tumblr after dinner and saw that I reached 1,000 followers. Thank you to everyone that is following me.
I started posting my F1 imagines for myself. I'm really glad that all of you like my writing as much as you do to follow me on here and interact with me when I post new parts.
I should have something new for Mini Verstappen posted this week. New written part is going to be up on the 30th on Max's birthday.
For those of you who are waiting to see works on the other drivers I have on my masterlist, those are still in the works. I have a series on Danny Ric that I'm slowly working on, but still in the early stages. Hopefully I'll start posting things for that soon.
