Alright IM CALLING IT NOW, the first HL2VRAI stream is gonna be fully transparently hyped up for like a week or two beforehand, no vague "THE SCIENCE TEAM RISES" bullshit, they know we'd be wise to it at that point. Instead, it'll be definitely obviously HL2VRAI, and then when the stream opens and the Better Call Saul logo fades in and everyone is absolutely enraged for like 4 minutes before it's revealed that it was ACTUALLY just a dream sequence this time

I am SO curious what HLVRAII is gonna be like cause HL2 has a stronger narrative structure and a lot more talking characters, plus some of those characters are the characters that some of the Science Team replaced, like Dr Kleiner. I'm wondering if, for example, they're gonna be playing a super modded version that removes some of the game's own NPCs so the RTVS crew can better focus on the story they have in mind.

thinking about hlvraii today.

maybe dr coomer doesnt have a new model, not because he doesnt have a hl2 counter part, but because he hasnt truly come to terms with the world he lives in. he lost his best friend and he found out that his reality, all his memories, were all fake

while dr coomer lives with these thoughts, tommy and bubby have both moved on and embraced their hl2 counterpart selves. tommy taking up the role of his father and bubby being a scientist in this new freaked up world

and when gordon returns to the game coomer is going to be the first to greet him, as coomer has been waiting for him to come back as gordon is apart of his world

i wonder if hl2vrai (or as i like to call it hlvraii-) alyx is gonna have any connection to hlage alyx.

do to my completely assumption based understanding of actual half life lore hl:a presumably takes place after(?) hl2. but chances are its.. hlage is going to have canonical relevance and gord help you if you havent watched the hlage finale. gnome lore is real shit. anyways point is like. its gonna be important relevant lore stuff and it takes place in the past for gordon/wayne atleast, and i dont think theyre gonna get particularly achronological in universe so under the assumption hlage takes place before hlvraii how does that affect alyx?

obviously wayne plays as alyx in the game but the gnome recognizes him as gordon. even as wayne continually points out that thats not who hes playing as. is gordon/wayne possessing alyx in this context? will alyx hold any memory of hlage? how does she feel about gordon? would she be spiteful? would she feel like she recognizes him without knowing from where? does she gnome?

i need benrey to be so unhinged this time around if he's there. maybe my perception of him has been warped a lot by fandom but i want him to come apart at the seams and kill people and be fucked up
