All the starters have names that are an approximation of their English/Galarian names because they are non-native to Hisui and introduced by Laventon, a Galarian professor.
These have been real fun to do! Especially during all the traveling I’ve done! I’ve got 33 entries done already.
But yeah hisuian should be coming back tomorrow and other work should resume but albeit at a slower pace (I am visiting my bf rn so I’m a bit occupied enjoying our short time together)

Hisuian Conlang Abugida!
Why yes I did spend 2 hours making a translation in my conlang for the history of the hisuian writing system
However brief that history is
Uh this is the conlang script I’m using for my submas au The Human Illusion. It’s not very complex, nuanced, or fleshed out due to all the construction being done on the spot as I make comic panels. I do my best but I’m not putting too much thought or stress into it.
I might make the script that Pearl clan made as well cuz uhhhh writing system design fun

Hi hi! I’ve got hisuian language questions about berries! (My name is berrie so I’m totally bias towards all the fun berries the franchise has). Firstly, how to spell it “berry” ! Secondly would they just call chesto “dry blue berry” vs wiki “bitter bumpy blue berry” or is it a completely different system?
Always happy to answer!
How to say “berry” as well as “oran berry” and “wiki berry” are written here for reference:
Hisuian is not a highly agglunative language (it doesn’t often take 2 words and sap them together to make a new word). It does so on occasion though, just not to the extent of literally describing the berry.
As seen above, Oran berry is literally just “healthy berry” but wiki berry is “gōhtshīm” where gōht doesn’t mean anything independently, only serving as the name for a wiki berry.
