one of my favorite things about bdubs is that not only is he an amazing builder but he's taken the time to learn the terms? a lot of the hermits make jaw-dropping stuff but they're running on intuition— which is impressive in its own right but bdubs keeps dropping terms from 2d art, 3d modeling, architechture, photography, so on and so forth. u can really tell hes passionate about learning :D
What on earth was Gavilar “I want to leave my planet in eternal war” Kholin bullshitting about here? (Early twok)
It is fascinating how Dalinar and Elhokar really push the idea that Gavilar was very genuine about the codes, meanwhile Navani is constantly implying how he sucked and she hated him. Some of it aligns so well with his later characterization and some just seems like Sanderson changed his mind halfway through the series.
Also he would so have hated the way everyone is saying that he was weak and weird before he died
Had a narratively complex dream again which in my mind was my fanfiction of an anime I watched, then at some point I realized "no wait this is all part of the dream, I'm making all this up" and kept repeating plot points to myself over and over so I don't forget them and I STILL forgot a lot 😔
my grandparents had this bread cutting apparatus in a drawer in their kitchen and they were so right about that. like that thing was a fixed installation and it lived in the drawer and you could fold it up and it was basically like. a saw. and it would cut your bread and it would go back in the drawer. why don't I have something like that. where's the justice in this world
I love how someone asked Joel about the entire him and Sausage having a child together thing and he just said “Honestly we don’t even know, we’re just rolling with it”
Then he pulls out more Harry Potter quotes because it isn’t Joel in Empires without one.
freakishly talented and interesting mcs with complicated backstories and nonhuman lineage/traits that make them op are just as good as mcs that are just Some Dude actually
