As someone whos watched him since before i took a break from mcyt in middle school, I'm SO delighted to see the hermitcraft fandom discovering what an absolute experience Joel Smallishbeans is because as friends of Hermits are often are, a lot of HC fans just see a sliver of it and portray him as a quirked up white boy but no. He's not simply quirked up. He's actually unhinged. 1000% committed to any and all bits. Manic pixie nightmare.

How I think the remaining people will end it
(I'm theorizing to help me cope 馃槶馃槶馃槶
Season 2 didn't captivate me as much as season 1 but I'm gonna go crazy without any empires....please season 3)
Let's see
Shubble- PLEASE my theory especially with Joey's episode out,
I'm hoping, maybe Katherine?, But with some help possibly, the gnomes home is what caused her to be corrupted fully so it's possible that will tie into her un corruption, we get a resolution to Shrubs story (PLEASE T^T) and she gets the storm powers, white hair, and it ends with obviously her and Katherine saving Joey and going off, and she becomes a traveling storm witch in a caravan before being invited in a game to determine the Supreme Witch
Scott- maybe gets a resolution with the whole eye thing, maybe Owen comes back at some point, he ends as some kinda traveller
Gem- this one is hard. She could go more meta and notice the others are leaving so she resolves to one server, or go some lore route with the darkness or something
Pix- I'm hoping for something with the Copper King. He deserved an ending. If not, even if, maybe he...I don't know. Something with the ghost ness
Sausage - tying in with the evil king from his backstory, probably something with bubbles, we see Pearl (praying for return of pearl in s3 (unless she left because she didn't like the lore? I've heard that but I thought it was keeping up with two servers and a half with the life series))
Oli- we'll be lucky with an episode 4 but if he actually has a lore ending maybe he'll do something with music and bard ness I don't know
Jimmy- uh ..I don't know really. I could see Martyn killing him. Or he gets respect for once and then that's it
Lizzie- her secrets revealed or something and she lives as a housecat or something. Maybe she leaves her empire to the council and explores
I dunno
Am I missing anyone
Joel
Joel-... Was that his last? I don't think so. He might have a bit of lore, maybe something with Hermes, I think Hermes will get his own ending whether that's from Joel or Sausage
FALSE I forgot false come on
False- if I understand her storyline correctly she had her memories back but is more like. Lawful evil sort of thing. Maybe she'll make up with Hermit False somehow or try to contact her to apologize. I hope to see a resolution to that whole thing.
Is that it? Let's see, Fwhip ended, I think Katherine ended? I was in such denial that it was her last, Joey definitely ended.
One ..two.... thirteen. Yep all thirteen.

I have a pretty solid idea of the storyline and stuff, but the who's who is not Nearly as ready. So what we're going to do is name the ones who are completely ready, and it's going to look like this

Sausage [s2] - Sausage - player character/ghost
Lizzie [s1] - The Lady of the Seas - the white lady
Joel [s1] - The Clay King - the pale king
Xornoth [s1] - The Nightmare King - Grimm
Joey [s1] - Joey - Brumm
Katherine [s1] - The Lady of the Overgrown - unn
Shrub [s1] - Shrub - Isma
Scott [s1] - Scott - Ze鈥檓er
Jimmy [s1] - The Codfather - Lurien
Fwhip [s1] - The Engineer - Herrah
Gem [s1] - The Wizard - Monomon
Joel [s2] - Godseeker - Godseeker
False [s2] - False - Quirrel
Shelby [s2] - Shelby - Nailsage Sly + Salubra [stationed at salubra's shop]
Eddie [s2] - Eddie - Iselda and also Elderbug
Maria [s2] - Maria - Shopkeeper Sly
Oli [s2] - Oli - Cornifer
Pixlriffs [s2] - Pix - Lemm & seer
Gem [s2] - Gem - Either hive knight or vespa. probably hive knight
Katherine [s2] - Katherine - Cloth
Joey [s2] - Joey - Zote
Jimmy [s2] - Jimmy - Tiso
This got really long really fast. I don't know how to answer the what's what question other than that sometimes charms are blessings and sometimes they're potions
Here's the backstory, as I have it so far.
Now, of course, a backstory doesn't account for what happens In The Game. I'm gonna make this as short and sweet as I can because. Those names took up a lot of space
Okay, so, saying it again: This is about the old in comparison to the new. People knew sausage! The Wizard and the Engineer recognize you when you go to wake them up!! The lady of the overgrown sees you and knows you and recognizes that you are so much of the Priest and yet not of him at all!!! The Codfather doesn't trust you, but he knows your face and yet you don't know his!!!! You are the new, trying to understand if you mean to live up to the old, or if you want to break away from him.
He made enemies, and he made friends, and he has something to do with the death of this kingdom. But how? Where? What did he do? What didn't he do?
"He did nothing," The Wizard says fondly. "There was nothing for him to do."
"He made it worse," The Engineer says, near laughing. "But it who he was. He was trying to be helpful. It never would have ended any other way."
"He did nothing," The Codfather says, exhausted. "He was her closest friend, and he did nothing to stop this."
"He made it worse," The Lady of the Sea sighs. "Without him there... The fight never would have even started."
You do simply as you are told. False tells you where to go, and when you ask her how she knows, she pauses and tilts the mask over her face. "I'm not sure," she says. "We'll find out together, though."
You meet gods. You meet people. They are new. They are old.
You kill dead things still walking. You fight things that still fight to be alive.
Mask to mask to mask. The people you know in between. A brother, an amnesiac and a clone.
Mask to mask to mask. Everything in between. And then a temple, old and worn and locked. And then unlocked. And then someone with your face but wrong and glowing and orange.
That is the old.
You are the new.
You run your dreamnail through his skull.
And you wake up again.

So for anyone genuinely following me for Guns for Hire stuff (which, btw, love you /p) I want to briefly explain some stuff I talked about and explained but not really in detail: Corruption.
So in the context of the story, Corruption is the most common name for what happens after someone consumes too much Dragon's Breath. It's slow acting and Corruption only spreads when they drink Dragon's Breath. It spreads faster if the person who's drinking Dragon's Breath is injured, dying, or ill, as their system is much more vulnerable to the potion. The potion, depending on the amount consumed or the intensity of it, can turn someone into what is known as an Ender; a giant black and purple beast that can teleport and read minds, while also being extremely strong, but they're also vulnerable to water. No one in Guns for Hire really knows about the mind reading stuff except for a few characters, namely Xornoth, Orion, Sausage, fWhip, Pearl and a few other characters that haven't been mentioned much. Obviously Xornoth turned because he had been consuming it to stop the spread of the Wither and this is why Sausage and Solidarity wanted it as well. If Sausage hadn't been cured by The Watchers and if Solidarity hadn't been brought back to life by Pearl, they would have still been suffering from the effects of the potion. Pixl, the way I see it, had consumed one of the biggest doses of Dragon's Breath, plus he was already pretty hurt. His body reacted strongly but even the potion wasn't enough to save him because of how early in the testing phase it was.
Enders are basically seen as a sort of creature in The Undercity. A sort of pest people just try and avoid because Enders don't normally attack unless provoked. While much isn't know to people who aren't Enders, it all starts making sense once you are one.
One of the ideas I had was to explore what happens with Oli in an unreleased but planned sequel (I ended up just loosing motivation on it, plus there were so many parts to it I'd have to write, it just felt very overwhelming lol I will be happy to answer some questions on it tho :D), as his role is very tied to the role of Enders. Essentially, as he was looking for Joel in the Undercity, he would have been kidnapped and experimented on, and would have turned into a combination of an Ender and a Human. He would have the abilities and characteristics of an Ender, while still maintaining a semi-human form, having more metal control over himself than an actual Ender. It was a pretty interesting concept that I might talk about later, but you would have found out that Enders can communicate with someone known to them as "The Orb" which claimed to be a God of this world and Enders had ascended high enough to speak with them. The big twist would have been the voice was actually a Watcher.
So yeah! Corruption is caused by Dragon's Breath, but can take years to actually fully turn someone into an Ender and Enders are connected to the Watchers. I'm tempted to write Oli's point of view, because it's such an interesting storyline and it would have explored a bit of what happened after the end but idk. Maybe one day

Some pictures of Xornoth and Oli! Just so you get a feel of what Corruption actually does to someone :))
