Relationship Rekindled
Written for @nejihinata‘s NejiHina Week - Day 3: Rumors
T; 1.1k
Neji/Hinata, Hiashi
Hiashi is certain that there cannot possibly be any real basis to the rumours that his daughter and (regrettably) successor has been growing closer with her cousin, but an interview with Hinata to be sure of it - and to warn her against allowing too much closeness with Neji - is in order all the same.

Probably for that Saku vs Hina confession, but bit late now.
Also I misread “Hiashi” as Hashi(rama) and thought “how’d the fuck he know?”.

Hyūgaclanweek day 7; the last day of the hyuga week, but not the last art with them!
august is rich in events in japan, but one of the most interesting for me is the edogawa fireworks festival, because the fireworks are beautiful, and warm their sparks from a distance in the face, making you hold your breath from an incredible sight! especially if they are reflected in the water, like at the festival itself, and you completely fall into this whirlpool of warm sparks!
let's enjoy the fireworks and the hyuga clan together! because both of these phenomena are beautiful 🎇🪭🌸🎆
it was a great week, thank you for this opportunity and for all the content that you authors have created! you are beautiful, your creativity is wonderful, and no fireworks will be able to outshine your radiance this august!
low bow to all of you! 🧎🤲

"I want Kaasan." Boruto whined, his snot-covered hands gripping Naruto's shirt. In better times, Naruto would have rebuked and removed his son's hand, but he was too exhausted to do so now.
Naruto shook his head, bouncing Boruto in his arms. He was almost too big and too old to carry, but he was not the only one who needed clinging comforts these days. Hinata would reprimand Naruto for this; for all her tenderness, she was never lenient in the upbringing of children. I'm the bad cop between the two of us, she once complained ruefully.
Boruto sniffed noisily, then looked at Naruto with big watery blue eyes. "Do you miss her?"
"Yes." Grief reoccupied its space again without difficulty. Naruto hated it so much and hate the way his throat tightened. "I miss her so much. I want here here too."
"Is there no way to bring her home?"
"I wish there is." Naruto blinked, hoping that the tears wouldn't fall. He didn't know how to explain the concept of death, let alone the concept of parental death, to a three-year-old. When he was three years old, he had no idea what his parents' names were, much less where they were buried or how they died.
Hinata should know; she had admitted to having a vague memory that becomes more and more blurry over time about her mother and the difficulties she faced afterward. She would be better at dealing with this grief, keeping the world in line and making sure the children were okay.
(When Hinata died in with their stillborn child, Naruto was forced to make some difficult decisions: let his childhood dream crumble to dust or watch the rest of his long-awaited little family be torn apart.)

Seeing how Hanabi doesn't have any children of her own, what becomes of the Hyuga Heirachy after she becomes Leader? Let's say neither Boruto or Himawari are eligible to become the next Heir/Heiress
So would Hiashi just pressure Hanabi to make kids or....?
Hiashi would hold a tournament to see who was worthy of taking Hanabi's hand in marriage, much to her embarrassment. And then he would be absolutely shocked when everyone was too intimidated to show up.
