Taigat:
OKAY so I know that the voidsent beastie isn't really a starter thing for Taigat but it's hard to imagine him without some kind of creature that terrorizes (affectionate) so I went with Impidimp
The entire line is kind of just about being a weird little menace and the first evo specifically talks about feeding off negative emotions.
The story/vibe of it to me is that the first two evolutions make for a good manifestation of Taigat's problems and frustrations. Possibly exploring the idea of an irresponsible choice pushed onto them by their father, that doesn't evolve into its final form until the two start to actually bond and understand each other in an environment where they can both grow.
Diokos:
He got something much cooler (sorry Taigat ily) but given what I know about him I think Hisuian Zorua is a good fight. The Hisuian line specifically is about very strong emotions with Zoroark especially being known for reckless emotions that lead to attacks hurting itself as well as the enemy. Something about that anger manifesting and then the aftermath forcing Dio to reflect on it and work on himself for the better of both him and his partner is very fitting to his story already
