☀️Sun Kissed Mistletoe ☀️

I think this is one of the best pieces of art I’ve ever done.

This is for my partner @heyaitsfreyah of xer character Drake, specifically a version of him from a private rp group known as Rich Blood! Rich Blood Drake has quickly become a favorite of mine (although nothing can beat canon old cranky man Drake) and I was inspired to draw this of him! The mistletoe is flora symbolism of Drake (due to it being parasitic), and the sun is meant to reflect the tale of how Icarus flew too close to the sun— which Drake has definitely flown too close and is now paying for it.

Crazed vampires are a whole vibe. I definitely need to draw her looking as unhinged as she really is lol Iva’s another oc I miss a lot

🌙 Moonlit Waltz ✨

Characters featured are Ivan and Drake (@heyaitsfreyah)!

This took awhile to complete and went through several iterations. The first iteration was actually set during the day. Very happy to have it done in time for Valentine’s 💌

I learned quite a lot doing this. It is also one of the remaining pieces using my old lineart brush. Just a few more art pieces to finish that used that brush and then it will be onto a new one!

I can’t believe my last finished art of 2022 is silly meme art bullying Drake (@heyaitsfreyah)

I like to imagine he and Ivan scheduled a date and when Ivan finally arrived… it’s to see Drake wearing that shirt 🤡

And Ivan’s reaction to it. Not seen is him pretending he does’nt know Drake LOL (and Drake didn’t even get him a coffee or a tea to make up for wearing THAT. Sooooo rude)

Pixeling is really relaxing, and animating this was fun! I hope to do more animated pixels with even bigger animations in the future.

Some doodles I’ve done recently to try and climb out of an art block hole I’m in. I try to do at least one every night because going 2-3 weeks without drawing was destroying my ability to get back into drawing when I’d come back to it cause it’d take me like all day to remember how to draw again LMAO

1. Samael. Jet’s father and the OG angel of death. He’s a big bag of charismatic dicks who will eat your soul and considers all mortal (and some immortal) life to be disposable to his goals.

2. Lucifer (also known as Sunny.) She’s kind of an asocial and haughty prick most of the time but is soft on Jet. She’s also like stuck inside his soul/sharing his body with him and Jet’s dead ex who is haunting him.

This is one of the silliest things I’ve drawn and is arguably of two characters that aren’t that silly.

One of Ivan’s favorite animals are sheep and one of Drake’s (@heyaitsfreyah) are snails… so into kigurumis they go.

Working on young (looking) Drake. It happens veeeery slowly but he does age over time and that’s how you get Mr. Crotchety Old Man in the present day. Not 100% happy yet but we’re getting there lol

Omg can I please have my old colouring back now LOL this is an old redraw of an even older image and I think I’d like to redraw it again sometime to compare and see how far I’ve come since! Maybe I’ll turn it into a ��thing’

She’s the mc of a long shelved project. A selkie that fell prey to a collector of supernatural curiosities, she ended up in the care of an underfunded team of marine biologists working against the press of industry into what had once been a protected coastline after she was mistaken for an injured member of an endangered seal species. Affectionately named Cesealia by the head of the team before finding out that she’s a little more human shaped than they could have ever imagined, they end up sucked into one shenanigan after the other as they attempt to help her make good on her escape and find her way back home across the divide between her world and ours.

Iva looking a little more… Iva, lol. I’ll talk a little more about her deets at some point, but right now lmao what are words? I have to say I’m really proud of this, though. I’ve been experimenting lately, particularly with lining and rendering, and I like where it’s going. I finally feel like my art is starting to nudge more in line with the kind of art that I tend to gravitate toward aesthetically and enjoy looking at. It’s been an interesting experience because the process behind the colouring technique, especially, that I’ve been interested in. It’s a totally different way of even thinking about the colour than what I had been doing, but I’m definitely getting somewhere with it, I think. Big thanks to my good dude @cosmicae0ns for helping me wrap my head around it!
