I know you’re sick of the age gap argument but it’s never not going to be remarkable to me that so many men, especially men in Hollywood, can never seem to meet women their own age. There may not be a pattern with Chris, as perfect as we all think he is up there on his pedestal, but there is a pattern of young women being groomed and taken advantage of by older men. Am I saying Chris is doing this? No. But its a conversation worth having, even if the catalyst of this conversation this time is our untouchable, perfect, cinnamon roll Mr. Evans. 16 years is considerable. There is a power imbalance. They have always been at completely different life stages and always will be. Alba may not be a victim but to shut down the conversation just seems callous to women who actively get taken advantage of both in Hollywood and out.
There is a pattern and a problem in Hollywood of men in power grooming and preying on younger people, primarily women. That is not a thing I said anything about ignoring. I am talking about a specific pair of people. Chris who has no history of problematic dating or using sex/relationships to groom or create power dynamics. And Alba who is not a child.
You (and other fans) can project whatever issues you want onto them but there is not a power dynamic that I am aware of--him being older does not actually automatically create a power imbalance. CAN IT? Sure and when there is a standing history of grooming and problematic relationships (Leo DiCaprio. John Mayer. Jake Gyllenhaal. Joe Jonas.) then I'd be like oh hey we should look closer. There isn't in this case. An age gap doesn't mean the relationship is fatally flawed and doomed to fail, it means they have to work to make it work which--is true of any relationship???
But I am not and was not talking about OR silencing all discourse about Hollywood problems??
This. Case. Is what I'm talking about.
Do I know there are problems in Hollywood FUCKING YES because I pay attention. But Chris--who I don't think is perfect but tends to be fairly unproblematic--is not what you're talking about. They are apples and oranges. He has not dated a litany of underage girls or girls significantly younger than him. So. sure let's have the convo but lets do it in a separate place than a guy who just got married because making it about systematic Hollywood problems when it's mostly just fans pissed he married someone is...a stretch.
Also friendly little aside--fuck off with "i know you don't want this but" bullshit. It's rude. You come into my ask box trying to pick a fight, at least own what you're doing.

is there a reason why you don't comment or even leave kudos on some of the fics you rec?
Oh wow. Ok. A few things.
1. I read almost exclusively on my ereader which means I dont always go back and kudos/comment.
2. I run a rec blog that takes about 1.5hrs of time per list because I know I'm abysmal at kudos/comments.
3. I am already really low on time and between writing for the fandom and running the rec blog for the fandom, something has to give?? It's not perfect fandom etiquette but it's what I have spoons for.
4. Why are you stalking my comment/kudos habits?? That is...a bit more interest than I feel like you need to have in me, or that I'm comfortable with.
At the end of the day, I am a human with failings and limited time and I'm doing my best. Questions like this when so much of the rec list feels like shouting into the void AND I'm already debating pausing it while life is crazy busy is...discouraging and a little bit irritating.

i don't know is unfortunately the best answer i've got for ya! i've got maybe 4 or 5 ish shorter wips, including that one, that i'd love to finish up and publish before i jump back into a bigger project (firstprince exes to lovers is up next) but i haven't been writing much.

Hey Nonnie! It's not something I've ever considered doing, but it's hard to never say never, you know? Everyone has different experiences and each writer has to make decisions for themselves about what they want to do with the content they put out into the world. I'd hope I would never be in a situation where I felt the need to delete my stories, but the future isn't something we can see. So, I guess I'd say that I have no plans to delete or orphan, and if I ever found myself in that place, that I'd make it known beforehand xx

Can I hear more about the tinimmy/zekina infidelity au??
so the basic gist of the idea is that Jimmy Jr. and Tina are married but after not even a year of marriage he tells her that he's gay and they need to get a divorce. Zeke comes up to comfort Tina and we find out that they slept together before when she and JJ were dating. this is one that i'm really excited to write but very worried that it's going to upset people lol
anywhere here's a lil exert:
How had her life come to this?
She finished up and got out, wallowing in her misery as she toweled off. As she was drying her hair, though, a familiar sound came from outside.
Almost…too familiar…
Tina threw on a tank top and stretchy shorts, then grabbed her glasses before hurrying out of the bathroom. She made her way over to the nearest window and looked out, her eyes wide and blinking.
An old faded red truck pulled up into the driveway and parked. The driver’s door opened and out stepped a tall man with curly hair piled up on the top of his head. He locked the door before shoving his hands in the pockets of his jean jacket and heading for the front door.
No way…
Tina ran for the stairs, nearly tripping in her rush to get down them. She heard the front door open and Jimmy’s voice greeted their guest.
“Hey–”
Then came a voice that she hadn’t heard since their wedding, low and gravely and sending warm shivers down her spine.
“I ain’t here for you.”
She raced into the front hall, almost falling over her own feet as she came to a sudden halt. Her heart pounded against her ribcage and she could feel her pulse in her neck, and she stared up at that familiar face that had always felt like coming home.
Zeke’s dark eyes spotted her and his tense expression immediately softened. He took one step towards her, his arms opening. “T-Bird.”
Tina didn’t think. She just launched herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and slamming her body against his. Thankfully he was still solid with muscle, able to stand his ground and not even stumble against her assault. His arms wrapped around her body and suddenly she was crying against his chest, feeling safe and secure for the first time in what now felt like years.

I think Boots would definitely be a tad insecure. She was the first woman Bradley had ever seen, after all, and I'm sure the same thoughts would be running through her head.
She knew this was a big step for him, and this is what the team had been working up to for the past year. It had started with exposing Bradley to the local village and working him up to a nearby city. Finally, you had convinced him to fly back home to San Diego with you and Bradley.
He had handled the plane ride fine, gripping your hand tightly at both takeoff and landing, but now the real test came. You and Jake would be standing on either side of Bradley as you walked through the airport, both keeping your eyes on the larger man for any signs of distress as you reached the gate for your layover. Of course, yours weren't the only eyes on him.
You had noticed a group of girls giggling and pointing at him a couple of minutes ago, and you felt your muscles tense when one of the pretty blondes strutted up to stand in front of him.
"Hi," she grinned, pearly white teeth standing out against her beautifully tanned skin. Bradley glanced up from the tablet in front of him to look at her. You held your breath. Would he want her now? Were you really just something to pass the time with? He had options now, after all.
Bradley said nothing as he cocked his head to the side, eyes studying the woman in front of him. She was undettered, twirling a strand of hair in between her fingers as she continued to give him a sultry look.
"I'm Mia," she continued, batting her eyes at him. "What's yours?"
"Bradley."
"Hi, Bradley," she giggled, and Bradley frowned. "What are you headed to San Diego for?"
"Going home," he replied, eyes narrowing in confusion as the blonde leaned forward.
"Home, huh?" She hummed. "Maybe we could hang out sometime? I can give you my number-"
"No," Bradley cut her off, shifting away from her. Mia's smile faltered, but she quickly regained her confidence, clasping her hands in front of her so that her boobs almost spilled out of her top.
"Aw, come on," she pouted playfully, leaning forward again. "It could be so much fun."
"No," Bradley said again, frowning. "Don't want to. Want to stay with my girlfriend."
You felt your heart clench at that. The two of you hadn't really spoken about relationships or what you would classify yours ass, but his declaration had you fighting to keep from launching yourself into his arms. You'd definitely have to ask him where he learned the word later though.
"You're girlfriend?" Mia scoffed, finally looking at you. You kept your gaze pointedly on the tablet in your hands, pretending to scroll through your notes as she studied you. Mia let out a huff before turning her attention back to Bradley. "Well, if you change your mind, I'll be sitting right over there, handsome."
"I won't," Bradley said simply, and it took all of your strength to hold in your snort. Mia's lips pressed into a thin line before turning on her heel and walking away. It was only a few moments later when Jake collapsed into the seat on the opposite side of Bradley, passing you a water bottle that you took gratefully.
"What did I miss?" He asked with a grin, unscrewing the cap off his own bottle. You chuckled, leaning over to place a kiss to Bradley's cheek.
"Oh, nothing really."

just got back from japan
i have been to 19 countries and every time, i smell the insanely heavy smell of cigarette smoke (i think i sent an ask abt the time i was in germany last summer) and i love it
