pro ! you get a best friend. mina thrives off listening to their partner talk about anything that interests them or past experiences or aspirations, because not only do they find their own inspiration for their art but they're also the first to wholeheartedly support their dreams and wants. a partner may come first, but mina will never allow a partner to change themself to fit in or whatever - only grow

con ! they're fucking anxious. they constantly worry despite often acting pretty casual, and that can definitely manifest into impulsive behavior and / or rushing off to be alone to let the intense feelings pass, rather than trusting someone will love them through it

and for lord haurche

pro ! absolutely the most considerate towards his partners. he often thinks about how he treats others the same way he'd like to get treated, but it goes Beyond that. haurche would spend an entire day cheering up his partner if that's what they required, will provide safety no matter what the situation, remembers every detail shared so he can accommodate them. yeah.

con ! he'll jump in front of his partner to take a fatal hit even if they can take it better ty for asking

Nope! I would say he didn't care for Alphinaud in ARR. He has a strong dislike of rich people right out of the gate and it takes extra time for them to earn his trust/respect. He also found him to be arrogant, bossy, and childish. He bit his tongue around him a lot. Though they did get close in Heavensward, Roi seeing him as a little brother and likely the scion he is the closest with in most verses.

NOW the only other close one is Thancred. Roi loves Thancred. He recruited him and saw potential in him. If it wasn't for Thancred, Roi truly believes he would be dead or gone down a bad path thanks to his mindset at the time they met. Thancred gave him purpose and introduced him to Minfilia, the person that reached Roi's heart and brought his walls down for the first time since his childhood. Thancred and Minfilia were the scions he was the closest with in ARR. After Minfilia's death, Roi blames himself for it because he left her behind. He hates himself for trusting that Hydealyn would keep her safe. Roi is totally unable to move on from her death until their last meeting in Shadowbringers. Which brings me to Thancred, who asked Roi to keep her safe in the tunnel.

Roi does love Thancred. He thinks that Thancred hates him. He thinks that he hates him and won't say it. He thinks that he SHOULD hate him and blame him. Roi feels uneasy and uncomfortable around him from their reunion in HW until the end of ShB (5.0 specifically when Thancred is trying so hard to save his life basically and the stuff he says before they go face Emet-Selch.) So while Roi's feelings of adoration for Thancred never really change, he feels like Thancred does and should hate him. This is much worse in ShB when Thancred is more emotionally volatile and has Ryne with him.

Ears twitched at the mention of cookies. Prior to coming here, Hlynur had not indulged in sweets. Even now, it was a rare occurrence to be offered some. His immediate desire was to agree with no hesitation, however... He stopped himself. He had to remain vigilant. He couldn't be swayed and manipulated so easily by an offer of delightful food.

There's a yelp of surprise as he is suddenly bundled up and removed from the ground. Of course he knows who's grabbing him immediately, and he should know by now that Moenbryda's liable to manhandle him at her whimsy, but it still takes him by surprise every time. Urianger's arms go around her shoulders instinctively. She probably won't drop him, but it's nice to be certain.

Still, her happiness is infectious, and Urianger finds himself smiling with a soft laugh ad Moenbryda spins him about. Alright, some manhandling can be forgiven.       THE QUESTION CAUSES HER PAUSE, not one for her ears to choke down lightly — jewel && gold adorned appendages folding back with a slight jingle in response as if to shut it out completely. it has always been a fear of hers, one that was not far from the realm of possibility. she is, after all, still wanted in many a place — && her clientele had once grown rather sizeable. becoming the warrior of light had brought out its fair share of those who recognised her as her light grew brighter && more far spread; oft a need to silence them, an ironic display in paying off those she'd stolen from in the midst of sold passion. still, the thought does not sit well with her — the scions were so dear to her, the closest people she had in her life for a long time that she would give her very life to keep safe.

      the thought of them thinking down on her is...too much to bear. && yet there's a glimmer of hope somewhere deep that prays to the sisters && the gods both that they would still adore her even after knowing.
