"Right, so food we can check off the list. And no, I don't know what a PHS is." But if they had translators, then maybe she could get one for her own use? "Where do I get one of those? It sounds useful." Granted she might need help setting it up, between unfamiliar technology and the inability to read instructions. But once she had it... Well, it'd be a lot easier to learn to read it if she had a translator to help.

An ear twitched back and forth thoughtfully, as Lumi considered.

"At the very least the echo's definitely working for speech, so I can communicate even if I can't read anything yet. So that's at least not a concern."

“You got food,” Zack pointed out. “When you’re done, we’ll go to the visitor center. They’ll probably have pens there.” He didn’t really want to do this, but he didn’t see a way around it either. Not unless he got a call for a mission right then, which he wasn’t sure he wanted either.

“Hey, you don’t have a PHS, do you? I know there are translators on some of those things,” he said, cheerful for a moment until he remembered she was from outer space. Right. Probably not a translator for that.

“I guess not, huh.”

"Well," she answered in amusement. "I told Albedo you were home." So really, it just was a matter of whether or not Albedo had passed on the message.

Judging by the two mi'kittens attached to his legs once he was within range, Albedo had certainly done so. Alice wagged their tail, ears high. "Did you bring home a story?"

“Mm,” He spotted two familiar shapes at the window as they drew closer to their home, and Ophiuchus had to chuckle softly. “I take it you told them?” Why else did Lumi come hunt him down? “Or did they not know?”

Either way, he was mentally preparing himself to be tackled by two mi’kittens the minute he crossed the gate.

Lumi grabbed his arm, yanking. "Don't you dare!" She'd already lost the others, and they were the last. She wasn't losing another one of them, not here. "You're not–"

"That so?" Good news, then. Maybe they'd finally be done then and could just relax. "Then we can retire soon and leave the world saving to other people for once."

More time for kittens. And Albedo.

“Hmmm, it sounds as though they are plotting.” Ominous, from kittens. Though he supposed if they were just kitten-ing around, it was harmless. “Perhaps I ought to at least save Albedo – sorry, Alfredo, from the clutches of his siblings.” They were getting close, but still he slowed some so he could sneak in a kiss to Lumi’s neck.

“I have some news, but it can wait. Nothing immediately threatening.” He said softly, “We are closer to fixing the shards’ imbalances.”

"Well, they have for me. Poor Albedo, on the other hand, has been subjected to increasingly frequent calls of Alfredo for the past week. I'm not quite sure what's going on there." The fact he'd been answering to it had her suspicious.

Definitely up to something, all of them.

"We may be kitten trouble."

There’s a laugh at that, “I see, oh magical wife of the house; I appreciate your thoughtfulness.” Hm, they were up to something, was it? “Well they better have been behaving for you. Their upcoming trip to visit Old Sharlayan depends on it.” He remembered that much, at least.

With the promise of dinner being at home, he adjusted their course, heading directly there.

"Not a clue, I forgot how to tell time." It was certainly a time, she could tell him that! "They were perfect angels, and that's how you know they're up to something." Something incredibly devious. "Lucky for you, dinner has magically appeared at home and is waiting for us."

By magically she meant she'd ordered ahead the moment she'd felt his arrival.

“Mm, dinner sounds lovely. You will have to forgive me for not cooking; I am exhausted.” What time was it, anyway? “How long was I gone?” Ophiuchus supposed he could carry them to the nearest restaurant that was still open at that time of night.

Another kiss to her wiggling ears, “Did the kittens behave while I was away?”

"To take a break," she decided after a thoughtful moment. She leaned forward to allow him to pin the cloak properly, ears swiveling absently as she listened to the sounds of the city harbor around them.

"It's been very tiring and I think we deserve some time for ourselves before we jump into any new adventures." A nice long one, some months maybe. Two minimum. She could use the time to rest and organize.

"Is there anywhere you'd like to settle for awhile?"

It was a question, of purpose.

What did Hestia live for? Why was it that she denied what was truly in front of her? Questions that had answers, and answers that soon sated the traitorous Garlean Emperor’s mind in the answer of a fight. A fight that neither Hades nor Ophiuchus were present for, a fight which both of them were ignorant of – save for the outcome.

Still, they managed to get back to Etheirys – relatively, in good health. Hades had stayed in Old Sharlayan long enough to answer a few questions during the celebration before striking out on his own. Ophiuchus had remained by Hestia, offering to be a buffer where it was necessary.

And, now, it seemed they were bound for Limsa once again.

“And where, does our illustrious Azem intend to go?” Ophiuchus asked her softly, albeit in a teasing tone as he offered to pin her cloak into place. “Perhaps, somewhere with her Emissary in tow? It would help to have a diplomat on hand.”
