The Heleborus Verse

An alternate universe held in the world of Diabolik lovers, located in Shinagawa, Japan. Timeline dates to the early 90s-early 2000s upon the awakening of Hanako. In this verse, vampires, ghosts, ghouls and other demons may have different purposes. While, in this world all Sakamaki, Mukami's and Tsukinami's dress as if they have never left the Victorian era. The world around them on the other hand is riddled with a dark aesthetic and an old timey futuristic approach on Victorian modernism.

Azusa Mukami

A cruel fate of silent love, failing to ever confess her feelings for the somber bleeding Luzon. His care striking the heart of the dove upon her arrival, Azusa is under intensive care, (Azusa is a mental Asylum patient and is treated for heavy forms of PTSD, with recent good behavior he is able to live back with his family)Ruki, Kou and Yuma are under watch of the poor boy, who wishes he had the strength to beat his condition. You see Azusa's trauma induced PTSD result in panic attacks, these panic attacks cause him to harm himself. Though enjoying the pain, on numerous occasions have almost costed him his life. Hanako on the other hand is appointed to be his new care taker, with Kou on tour and Ruki and Yuma busy with their own endeavors caring for Azusa has become a stress factor for the Mukami household. Hanako meets Azusa only with a straight jacket, his sweet demeanor and calming behavior is refreshing to see, but the only rule for her was to never remove the jacket from him. Their budding relationship grew, Hanako herself was never able to understand the feelings that she might have had for him, often mistaking this crush as a sickness that needed to be cured. Azusa was rendered immobile, not able to take off his straight jacket and being under constant supervision felt painful for him. The ability to not feel as weak, a strong sense of covetousness would settle in envying his brothers in ways he could not indulge, Azusa was never a monster.... only ever wanted to be strong and in drinking her blood over time, gave him just what he wished for, but only at a cost of hurting someone he cared for. Ruki on the other hand started to notice that Hanako's blood was starting to cure him, but the more he drank the more.....viscious he became, what felt like a burst of energy twisted into brutal rage, and like steroids acted as an addicting drug with no bounds, Ruki forbade the two from ever seeing each other again. In fear of what his kind brother would turn into, Ruki had placed Azusa in a confined space, driven by the ideal of wanting to be stronger, raged by the toxins within her blood, became violent hurting his brothers, attacking Hanako as her cries and screams for help were muffled by the sounds of blood which leaked from her neck. Azusa snaps from his fit, only to see the damaged that he caused and in tears cry over the body in which he destroyed. The ending of this story ends with forgiveness from the doll who is now free of her curse, turning into a spirit who later says one last goodbye.

Hellebore

Blooming in Virginia today. Little anniversary walk with my husband through the Jane Heyward Gardens near to Charlottesville, Virginia. After her death Foxhaven Farm comprised of nearly 200 acres was purchased by the UVA Foundation. Jane had always hoped her garden would become a Botanical Garden. It is open to the public free of charge for meandering.

Kou Mukami

In the Helleborus verse, Kou Mukami is a renowned super star, his voice alluring with the enhancement of vampiric magic, somewhat of a trance, Kou acts as a Vampiric- Siren. The driving force of the Mukami's funds, the pretty blonde selfish in his endeavors receive a plethora of gifts from woman of all statures. Upon his return home, he meets Hanako, the two have a somewhat complicated relationship, his constant teasing drives her insane, dubbing the ghost girl as "Sadako" but later changing her nickname to "Kuro Neko-chan." Their relationship is very bittersweet and upon his travels he brings back souvenirs for the dove. Hanako on the other hand is a liar and Kou is two faced which comes as a problem later on. Kou begins enjoying her company in due time, resulting in exchange of drinking her blood. The first encounter however, Kou found her blood disgusting, vowing to never drink from her nectar again. This would be the start of a lie, the path he had chosen, enhanced his voice, allowing even men to be charmed by his desire, unsure of what could have been his change, he continued to drink from her once more, resulting in the ability to charm animals. His greed for power overcame his senses, disregarding their friendship almost immediately, Hanako was to attend every show and like a two-faced coin, told her nothing of her blood, as he continued to take as he pleased. Her body grew weak under his desire.... but in this story the doll did not die...nor did she become one of her destinys, instead she became a familiar, her mind no longer the girl she once was. The blood in which he drank soon lost its form, as she became a husk of a Kou now noticing what he had done.....tries to reverse what seems to be a curse.... but in no attempts to succeed, he is surrounded by mindless obedient slaves.... including his brothers.
