Hebrews4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Too many of us are like the story of the poor European family who saved for years to buy tickets to sail to America. Once at sea, they carefully rationed the cheese and bread they had brought for the journey. After 3 days, the boy complained to his father, “I hate cheese sandwiches. If I don’t eat anything else before we get to America, I’m going to die.” Giving the boy his last nickel, the father told him to go to the ship’s galley and buy an ice-cream cone. When the boy returned a long time later with a wide smile, his worried dad asked, “Where were you?” “In the galley, eating three ice-cream cones and a steak dinner!” “All that for a nickel?” “Oh, no, the food is free,” the boy replied. “It comes with the ticket.” I'm sure the whole family enjoyed steak dinners and ice cream for the rest of the journey! We are so like this family in our journey with God - trying to get by on our own meager existence and idea of self worth. We are children of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!! We have free access to the throne of God, and his grace without measure and we muddle along in our filthy rags, crying "woe is me". We have not because we ask not! We should remain humble before God and not act like entitled self-righteous spoiled brats, but we shouldn't be walking around looking like the children of beggars either! Our Father will supply all we need according to his riches in glory!! The Word of God is Alive and Powerful

Hebrews 4:12-13

"Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the one to whom we are accountable." (NLT)  "And quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Verse 12, ASV)  (Also, AMPC Translation)

That is a scary thought, that everything in our hearts is exposed before God’s eyes and that everything we do is accountable to Him! Yes, we all have to stand before God and give an account of our lives; but then there is Lamentations 3:22-23, which says our Heavenly Father’s kindness and mercies never end and are new every morning, that His faithfulness to us is great. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says “The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.” So yeah, He’s looking at us all the time and there will be times that our Father must correct us, but it is done with concern for us to be safe, with great love, kindness and mercy. And He will always forgive us when we ask Him to. All He needs from us is our commitment, that our hearts “are true to Him.” That’s all God wants, for us to love Him, that’s why He sent His Son to save us. Can’t get a bigger sign of deep love than that. Thank You Lord, for Your love. 🙏

God's Rest

Anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works. for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. Hebrews 4:10‭-‬11 NIV Might and majesty be to the Holy Father in Jesus Christ's matchless name ! The subject verses from the Epistle to the Hebrews contemplates us to make every effort to enter the right place of rest. And the rest spoken here is not of this world, but the one at the Holy Kingdom of the Almighty God. Just like how the Almighty God rested after the work of his creation, so shall all those take rests from their works. But how shall we reach our destination? Clearly, the verse says to make every effort to enter that rest which is at God's Holy Kingdom. Take heart and rejoice for the Bible says, Jesus the Son of the Most High God is the way, the truth and the life. Remember, He is the only way. Not one among the many ways. Very importantly, nobody will be able to reach the Holy Kingdom without accepting Jesus as their Lord and washing their sins with his shed blood. When we walk our lives in Him, His mighty presence shall go with us. But if we give way to disobedience and unbelief just like the Israelites in the wilderness, we too shall perish. Therefore brethren, we shall diligently work towards the will of the Heavenly Father with our Lord Jesus by our side. Read the full article
