best friend says really awful things to him and then pushes him off a train -> he discovers that he’s a fucked up lil escaped science experiment & he was meant to be part of the military that killed his best friend’s family & destroyed his home -> he is tortured by the guy that is ruining all of their lives -> he gets rescued -> his best friend disappears into a crystal -> he lives through 10 years of darkness and daemons -> his best friend is back!! -> his best friend dies.

What if,,, Prompto got an Emotional Support Chocobo

It's actually Ignis who suggests the idea to Gladio and Noct - and after a good month or two of meticulous planning and finding 'the perfect match', they find The One. A young, energetic chocobo. Rejected from its family, perhaps due to a partially destroyed left wing, Wiz had been keeping it separate from the other chocobos and doing his best to care for the thing.

Wiz owes a solid favour or 5 to Noct, after all the hunts he's done for the man pro bono, so it's a matter of timing to collect the bird and bring her back to Insomnia.

Prompto, who's recently went through hell and back, who hasn't smiled in three months, who is still wary of going outside alone, wakes up to a barrage of knocks on his door, on the outskirts of the city. His three best friends just standing there awkwardly, excitedly, alongside a curious and delightfully yellow chocobo. He doesn't get a chance to be surprised beyond that, as the chocobo chirps loudly and rams into his chest for attention.

His friends are soon holding Prompto close, right there on the cold flooring of the porch, careful around the chocobo that's almost too large to sit on his lap as he sobs into the soft feathers. His hands are shaking. His cheeks hurt from smiling almost as much as his heart has from crying. The chocobo trills and nuzzles his cheek.

He calls her Sunshine.

I've played so much ffxv but i never realised how much Prompto and Ignis randomly hang out together until now and my heart is soft ;_; *lies down on the floor*

So far we've got:

Ignis sometimes asking Prompto specifically to help him shopping when they arrive at a rest area/gas station

When waking up at the chocobo ranch, sometimes they'll be standing by the chocobo pens together while Gladio's off somewhere else

Just now I woke up at Taelpar Rest Area and they're standing by the road together

Sometimes when they rest at a caravan, they're inside by the door just having a conversation and they both look so relaxed

Random (unvoiced) car interactions

I'm only in like chapter 4 of this playthrough so I'm sure there's more, but feel free to add to it I love their friendship so much and I want to hear Everything

i finally found out how to save prompto's photos on my pc now i can share with others this pic that looks like a fucking cryptid sighting
