had a dream that someone made a homestuck plugin that let you see the characters going about their lives outside of the events of the comic and i had to recreate this image

Something I’ve been thinking about lately is that small moment in “Air Turtle” where immediately after the Daves lose yet another game, Leo says how sorry he is and how he’s doing his best as the mascot. This moment is so short but it’s honestly jam-packed with a whole heap of characterization.
His need to apologize for things clearly not his fault - especially when it feels like he messes up the job he was given despite doing the best he can (the phrase “it’s not about you” takes a new meaning when this is one of the lessons to be learned from that - that he is not always solely responsible for things going wrong), his need to save face and make a connection with an older adult man in his life (something he consistently does throughout the series - he’s got a few daddy issues, always collecting potential father figures, it’s no wonder he jumps at the bit to keep rapport), and the way he sounds and looks and the words he chooses really pushes how he is just a kid (“Mr. the Dunk, I’m so sorry”).
Like I know it’s a one off moment that doesn’t truly mean much, but when put against the rest of the series it works really well with the rest of Leo’s established character and helps in solidifying later concepts as well.

something about dan's dream as a kid being for people to clap for him in a normal detached theatre/performing way to having a diehard audience who cheer and throw roses because of who he is beyond simply being an entertainer

need soapghost in public putting on a show, soap in ghost’s lap just worshipping his mask, kissing the teeth and licking along the cheekbones while ghost reclines back, one arm wrapped around soap’s waist as he makes direct eye contact with anyone who dares to look at them

I like to think Diamond City has a little inside joke when it comes to Valentine’s Day. Sure they’ll do the usual stuff with sweets and cards to loved ones, but the day also reminds them of someone in particular.
So, they’ll joke that Nick is everyone’s Valentine, some ironically and some with genuine affection. People who he’s helped leave him little gifts, none as extravagant as ones for their partners, but gifts all the same. Flowers and cards being the favorite, as sweets wouldn’t exactly be eaten, and he doesn’t really seem like a stuffed animal kinda guy.
Still, the little gestures are touching, and while the jokes may get old by the end of the day, or he says people really shouldn’t go to all the trouble for an old synth like him, he still has a little box filled with faded pink folds of paper, and more than a few dried and pressed flowers

Goldfish, you're adorable. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, because if they do they're a bumbling idiot

ok i know i'm approaching "i never noticed she's holding a plate of corn" levels of gomens posting here but aziraphale seems to own at least 4 near identical coats and it's cracking me up a bit
there's his regular coat (long, beige, big pockets on each side)
there's his in house coat (white-greyish, two sets of pockets, smaller lapels, and it also looks to be made from a thicker fabric)
i call it his in house coat because he only ever wears it inside. here's him getting maggie's note in the grey coat
and here's him in the next scene in her shop, now in the regular coat
the third coat is his detective/newspaperman coat
long, same color as his regular coat, no pockets, lots of useless buttons, weird things on his shoulders, and it seems to be slightly too big for him
and finally there's the 1941 coat
it's nearly identical to his regular coat except it's darker and thicker, and the lapels have this weird triangular shape. coincidentally, crowley's lapels in the present day are in the same style/shape
