I would like to see more adaptations of TCOMC where Edmond & Mercedes don't get together in the end.... bc it's such a predictable ending for a story with an emphasis on romance, & they don't even get together in the book........ But at the same time, the book's ending rly stung. Mercedes is so alone :·((( & I did not enjoy the romantic (??) relationship between haydee & edmond it left off on. thought it was yucky

If mama Da Vinci is Italian, papa Edmond is French... How did Guda/ko became a Japanese citizen and they are living in JP?

Hey at least genetically it matches in a way for the ID world, pre Chateau Edmond looks kinda like Gudao
Yes this is pre Chateau younger Edmond according to The Drama CD, and in the literature verse that makes this Edmond a 19 years old. (That means the white hair kuhahahaha Edmond is a dilf)
You can even argue Gudako has his ahoge and golden eyes (since Gudao got his blue eyes from mama Da Vinci) and instead, she is a result of former relationship with Haydee or perhaps Edmond is a widower in ID verse.

I really find it funny how similar I feel about Subnautica and Haydee in regards to their sequels.
Subnautica and Haydee: both great games that dont rely on their stories to be good.
Subnautica Below Zero and Haydee 2: both games that leaned heavier into the story element, while undermining what made people enjoy the first game.
My hopes for Subnautica 3 and Haydee 3: return to the design of the first game but just more and better.

the power of friendship isn't working anymore i need to kill this motherfucker aka canon point update 2: ordeal call electric boogaloo
so, on the 20th, OC chapter 2 was released and my god. my god what the fuck man. a lot happened, guda lore was dropped, many tasty stuff and as it's been over a week now and enough translations have come out where i feel comfortable updating her canon point! unlike oc1, she remembers everything that happened with this trial! fun times!
below the cut is just some info in regards to ritsuka/things that happened that could have an effect going forwards so read at your own risk because it is heavy spoilers! i won't be going into detail about every little thing that happened in the chapter, just what's most prevelant for ritsuka. and as always, if spoilers come up in any threads, they will be tagged and placed under a read more if they delve deep into spoiler territory
we got some more family information about her! due to the fact the singularity was built based around her/her memories in order to replicate her hometown and life before chaldea. she had a mother, an aunt from her mother's side, a younger sister, and a father though there seems to be some troubles there in regards to her father due to the fact any mention of him led to tense feelings and changing of the subject (most likely due to the fact he could have been a workaholic or someone strict and expected much of ritsuka). she also had a childhood friend, was friends with some transfer students and a few others in school as well! they're family was also quite well off, given they lived in a house on a corner lot with a veranda and garden
as stated by edmond, due to the events of what happened within the singularity, ritsuka had the potential to turn into an avenger, something which couldn't happen due to the fact they still wanted to save the world without burning everything else and as such, had to undergo seven trials to overcome to hatred and desire to burn everything that existed within her
what kicked off the avenger feelings was finding her mother and sister (both looking like the da vinci's in this place) and her childhood best friend (looking like mashu) murdered inside her own home. let's just say it was not great and she had a horrible time for a bit but it's fine it's f ine
essentially all of this was also a result of edmond doing what he had to in order to root out what the cause of this was from inside of ritsuka and her 'trash heap' (the place where all the grudges, regrets, feelings, etc etc from her journey and encounters with enemies resides)
yeah it was the count who did it! revealed to be alessandro cagliostro, he had actually infiltrated ritsuka's trash heap during the events of heian-kyo after contracting with limbo. in a way easier to understand, that clown passed along a virus that's just been making things worse for her since then! but he's gone now. hopefully.
yeah he also stabbed ritsuka in the heart but she survived thanks to edgy bf's revival np he gave to a servant to hold onto that was with ritsuka
due to the fact that chaldea and ritsuka couldn't prove that avengers were 'necessary' to save humanity to alaya, they had to leave. essentially, be unsummoned and as such, no longer are contracted to chaldea nor ritsuka but because ritsuka didn't want to give them up still, they left behind a shadow of their saint graph to at least provide some power in battle. the servants themselves, however, are gone. edmond, taira, nito alter, hessian lobo, gorgon, salieri, and jeanne alter to be exact (as other avengers don't 'count' due to being summer/event/special cases).
ritsuka is having a HORRIBLE time send help
she did meet haydee as well during all of this, which was neat!
so for awhile, ritsuka will be feeling pretty sad. and angry. and confused. and a lot of emotions that will make it hard to be her usual self but she'll try because really what other choice does she have!!!! and it sucks!!!!!

Back to elaborating on the possibilities for Ordeal Call 2 since I have a degree in dantes-ology and I was right it was going to need Prison Tower. most likely what we're going to see for gacha + general plot
GENERAL PLOT PATHS
SCENARIO A (most likely) - Cagliostro attempts to copy the Prison Tower curse to kill Guda in their sleep, Dantes defense activates and you clear the tower floor by floor
SCENARIO B (less likely) - Cagliostro is attempting to copy Goetias magic and force a second end to humanity, but it's completely fucked due to lack of power from the bleached earth
SCENARIO C (coin flip) - This chapter could act as a dual sequel to both Prison Tower and Shinjuku, Cagliostro is attempting to complete Moriarty's plan and destroy the planet to destroy Chaldea
CHARACTER APPEARANCES
COUNT CAGLIOSTRO (pretty much guaranteed)
he's very likely going to be AoE quick with curse stacking, copying both Dantes and Douman
since his whole schtick is copying others we may also see buff stealing/copying mechanics of some sort, something we've only seen enemies do in some CQs so far
Class will either be Alter Ego or Caster
EDMOND DANTES (pretty much guaranteed)
Costume Curveball is something that needs to be considered
Scenario Rider: Dantes before his imprisonment, incredibly weak but very kind and will do his best. His NP would definitely be the ship he was supposed to captain before being falsely imprisoned
Scenario Assassin: Dantes during the peak of his revenge quest, not powerful but able to arrange situations into a person's favor so he'd probably be a support of some kind
Scenario Berserker: The delusion that Guda is Haydee cranked up to 11, full rip and tear, being consumed by the Black Flames and learning more about what they are exactly
ALEXANDRE DUMAS (coin flip chance)
F/SF is apparently releasing it's final volume soon which means Nasu gets to use the cast in FGO (enkidu was a special exception)
Both Dantes and Cagliostro are characters of his, while also being separate people, so it opens up interesting character writing on conflicting details
HAYDEE (very unlikely)
At most, if we get a new unit for Dantes we may finally hear her voice in a skill line. An entire new unit is not likely.
Her deal is it's unclear on if she's real or not, or of she's something alien that only Dantes can perceive. She can see the future and does give Dantes advice, and knows what the black flames are and how to activate them.
If summonable likely would be a Foreigner with focus on others being unable to see her, so maybe designed around evasion?
She may be the actual treasure of Monte Cristo. Like the island.
MERCEDES (very very unlikely)
She's just a lady. They could add stuff to her but it's unlikely. There is the slightest chance they could just make her a nightingale-face and take her character in completely crazy directions.
She is the endgame love interest in most modern adaptations, while Haydee is usually removed completely, so there may be something on that.

Es típico de mi tierra, y mi mejor opción para estas navidades en familia y amigos.
Ingredientes
6 raciones
1 yogur de limón
Ralladura de limón
4 huevos
1 medida cuyo vaso es el del yogur. aceite
2 medidas cuyo vaso es el del yogur. azúcar
3 medidas cuyo vaso es el del yogur. harina
1 cucharada levadura royal
1 pizca sal
Pasos de la receta
Paso 1Se añaden los huevos, el yogur de limón la ralladura, el vaso de aceite y se bate todo muy bien hasta que quede cremosa la masa.
Paso 2A continuación, se le agrega el azúcar las medidas de harina y la levadura se sigue removiendo, tiene que quedar con una textura cremosa que caiga.
Paso 3Se unta un molde puede ser cualquiera (pero para que sea de queque tiene que tener el agujero en el centro para que se identifique con un queque canario) se pone en el horno 45 minutos a fuego medio y no abrir el horno hasta pasado el tiempo.
Paso 4Se puede añadir chocolate fundido o en pepitas, fruta que concuerde con la estación del año, azúcar gas, etc...

Ojo de Pescado celebra la previa de sus doce años con talleres y funciones de cine en Valparaíso
Bajo el lema “¡Hagamos historia!”, la nueva edición del Festival —proyecto financiado por el Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual Convocatoria 2023 del Ministerio de la Cultura, las Artes y el Patrimonio— busca potenciar la participación de las niñeces, por lo que realizará funciones durante las vacaciones de invierno y, posteriormente, talleres de cine con destacados cineastas nacionales.
Como antesala a una nueva edición, el 12° Festival Internacional de Cine para Niños, Niñas y Jóvenes Ojo de Pescado —proyecto financiado por el Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual Convocatoria 2023 del Ministerio de la Cultura, las Artes y el Patrimonio— realizará una serie de actividades gratuitas para las niñeces de Valparaíso, desde el próximo mes de julio,
Dentro de este calendario, destaca la realización de dos talleres de cine junto a reconocidos cineastas chilenos: Fernando Lavanderos y Pachi Bustos, quienes durante tres sesiones consecutivas compartirán sus conocimientos con los participantes de manera presencial en el tradicional Parque Cultural de Valparaíso (PCDV).
“El Festival ha consolidado una comunidad de niños, niñas y jóvenes que han hallado en el cine una forma amable y apropiada para expresarse y crear. Esta niñez y adolescencia cautivada por el cine demanda procesos formativos más especializados, por eso, hemos querido ofrecerles estas instancias de acercamiento desde una dimensión más profesional, de la mano de dos importantes cineastas chilenos, para que conozcan de fuente directa cómo se hace el cine en Chile, y que ellos y ellas, aún siendo niños o niñas, también pueden hacerlo”, explica Alejandra Fritis Zapata, directora artística del Festival.
El primer taller llamado “Hagamos historia, ¡y filmémosla!” —que se realizará los días 2, 3 y 5 de agosto a las 16 horas—, tendrá foco en el cine ficción y será dictado por el cineasta, guionista y docente Fernando Lavanderos, quien ha realizado películas como Y las vacas vuelan (2004), Las cosas como son (2012) y Sin Norte (2015).
Por su parte, el segundo taller llamado “Hagamos documentales, ¡hagamos historia!” —que se realizará los días 16, 17 y 18 de agosto a las 16 horas— tendrá foco en el cine documental y será dictado por la realizadora audiovisual y docente Pachi Bustos, quien ha realizado documentales como Ángeles negros (2008), Cuentos sobre el futuro (2012) y Haydee y el pez volador (2019).
“A través de estos talleres, queremos poner en valor las capacidades creativas y narrativas de niños, niñas y adolescentes, quienes pueden y deben integrarse a las voces del cine chileno, desde los contextos creativos que proponen sus escuelas y/o comunidades, pero también proyectando hacia un cine colaborativo con las y los profesionales del cine nacional”, agrega Alejandra Fritis Zapata.
Ambos talleres tienen un carácter práctico y participativo, y están enfocados a niños, niñas y adolescentes entre los 12 y los 16 años. Las inscripciones están abiertas hasta el domingo 16 de julio de 2023 en el sitio web del Festival www.ojodepescado.cl/talleres-cine
Vacaciones de invierno
Con el objetivo de potenciar la participación de las niñeces y acercarlos al mundo del cine durante las vacaciones de invierno, el 12° Festival Ojo de Pescado también exhibirá películas y cortometrajes, con entrada liberada para toda la familia, en diversos territorios de Valparaíso.
“El propósito de estas funciones es que niños, niñas, jóvenes y sus familias gocen y se acerquen al cine. Nuestro llamado es a participar y disfrutar de una experiencia colectiva en sus territorios, para que puedan compartir en conjunto y reflexionar junto a sus propias comunidades”, explica Valentina Grau Cerda, encargada de Mediación y Audiencias del Festival.
De este modo, el jueves 13 de julio a las 16:30 horas en el Teatro Municipal de Valparaíso se exhibirá, de manera gratuita, el largometraje El patalarga, una película de animación argentina, que relata el acontecer de tres niños que viven en un pueblo acechado por esta temible leyenda.
También se realizará una función el miércoles 5 de julio a las 16 horas en la Población Básica de Rodelillo, donde se exhibirá una selección de cortometrajes internacionales.
Posteriormente, también se mostrarán cortometrajes en el Centro Comunitario de Rodelillo, el viernes 7 de julio a las 17 horas.
Para finalizar, será el turno de la la Biblioteca Pública Placilla de Peñuelas, el día martes 11 de julio a las 17 horas.
Cabe mencionar, que el 12° Festival Ojo de Pescado se realizará desde el 25 de agosto al 1 de septiembre de 2023, de manera completamente presencial en Valparaíso. Este año, el llamado es a recordar y crear historias, desde la memoria y la libertad de expresión.

i think what kills me in OC 2 is the fact that i read it in jp as compared to usually reading on NA or fantranslations because i dont have the brain power to read jp sometimes...because ugh even though i hate kanji with every fiber of my being, each character used has multiple meanings all at once that the impact cant be denied.... so i totally got yamcha'd this chapter... i was eviscerated into nothing... writing style also definitely has an impact... i also like the incorporation of haydee as the narrator when guda is out of the picture for a short time...
