i too am a mint choco lover, it’s probably on my top 5 ice cream flavors (i don’t think my family hates the flavor but i'm pretty sure i was the only one eating it that one time my mom bought some at the supermarket 🤨)

im really excited, on friday i found some books I’ve been dying to read on some pdf files so finally i can read stuff besides fan fiction lol, like don’t get me wrong but I’m pretty sure I’ve read every good fic there is and i’ve been trying to get back to reading physical books so yuh pretty excited bout that (right now im reading “the seven husbands of evelyn hugo” and so far 🤌🏻)

besides the fiction books, i also found some good linguistic books that can come in handy whilst im preparing for university next year n.n

besides the reading i've been considering writing some stuff! i always wanted to write my own stories and i think at some point i did and posted them on wattpad but those are long gone (plus they weren’t any good lol) , two (almost three omg) years ago i won a poetry writing contest at school and idk the past few years have made me realize how much I actually enjoy writing and how much stuff I’ve actually written so im thinking on retaking it but i have so many ideas but also a lot of fear, like if i feel like it’s not good I won’t want to finish it (idk why im like this ;((() but gotta give you some credits baby, even tho it hasn’t been that long your work has definitely inspired me a lil to actually do it so, i guess we’ll see 👉🏻👈🏻

BABABABBEEBBE do not stress with writing; it's okay to think it's bad, hell i even think some of my work is bad i just post it anyways because i know someone out there might like it; and don't even get me started on wattpad!!! i used to have an account (i still do) with some pretty awful stories; they're still up, yes you can find them! they didn't do bad with engagement... some actually did pretty well, but reading back on them god they are HORRIBLE! wattpad is like the beginning of an era for a lot of writes! i believe in you, and if you do ever end up writing anything i'll be your first reader and supporter heh...

besides writing i do like to play games, like valorant and sims (sometimes i even play fortnite LMFAO) i also just like going out for a drive occasionally but these gas prices, oh naur

ashkdsks omg. Do ppl really not love slushees?? I do feel a bit like it’s a big American Midwest/southern thing tho?? Idk?? But, and this’ll prob gross out all u slushee hating weirdos but! I love getting slushees with nerd candy in them and hONESTLY I don’t think you’ve lived until you’ve had one. Just *mwah*. During mlb season when our team wins Mobil (it’s a gas station) does half price drinks and slushees, so you can get a nice slushee for literally 50¢. Best part of baseball imo lol

whats it like in south africa?

pretty crappy. there's a lot of death bc of all the farm murders with the whole ppl wanting to seize other ppls farms and it's just . a mess lol. my local police station (same one that arrested me) is 'temporarily' shut down for internal affairs investigations.. food and gas prices are just one step away from being Unafforable . there's no work . there's a water shortage . And our new president doesn't seem to be any better than the one that resigned a couple of months ago so !! I don't know. but we have a flat mountain and penguins and biltong and sharks and beautiful oceans. there's also not a lot of hate crimes here which is good . I don't mind living here tho it has it's moments. But I'm talking about the western cape/ cape town regions. I've lived in Johannesburg and it was literally hell on earth. never go to joburg

So apart from watching youtube videos and sharing some reshared content on facebook, I haven't actually been socially active lately.

My messenger is blowing up and I haven't responded to a lot of messages. So, it's not that I'm not replying to you. I'm not replying to EVERYONE. Apart from asking some recommendations and replying to some pages who I need to get in touch with since I have a transaction with them. Other than that, anything else that's personal has just been lying around in my inbox.

Anyway, I've been pretty much out for the count, especially after what happened last time. I'm still pretty bummed out by it so I'm trying my best not to pass on my shit to anybody else. This is definitely going to be a looong ass extensive posts. Coz' here' what I thought, instead of making multiple posts about my shit, I'll just sum it up into one big pile of shit, right?!

First off, if you're selling something, right. Like, you're not a store, but a person just trying to make a living, selling your services, be sure to know how to treat people right. I was speaking with someone about getting some shit done and since I'm not familiar with the process, I had to ask, right? This mofo started laughing and proceed to tell me that I... "should come back and talk to him when I know what I was talking about." In this particular case, pricing. Holy shit the nerve of this dude. Okay, so I lost some money recently, that ain't no secret. But the audacity of this person, telling me, as if I ain't got nothing to pay for the shit I'm asking. You sir just lost 1 good possible customer. You seem to be doing well on your own anyway, but FUCK YOU anyway for looking down on me. I'm not a rich guy, but I know how to work around my finances and I CAN BUY SHIT THAT COSTS WAY MORE THAN WHAT YOU THINK, FUCKER! So yeah, I'll gladly tell more about this via PM if you're interested to know what this is so you too can avoid the person. The lesson here is, don't talk shit to potential customers. Whether you know or just think that they could probably afford shit or not, never straight up laugh at your customer. NEVER!

Alright, so that's enough screen time for that fucker. Next, sooooo.... I forgot what's supposed to be next. I think I was gonna write something about what happened. Oh, right. So, I recently lost my entire paycheck due to some issues around the house, right. This one's a bit too personal and even on private messages, I won't go into details about it. But, here's the thing that's annoying. You know how you prepare for your shit, and even though you're not good at planning. You desperately try to plan things out, just to make sure that you won't astronomically fuck things over by yourself, since you know how much you can get screwed over by your own. Right?! Well, la-dee-daah, look who screwed me over. Someone who didn't prepare for their own shit and now, for some reason, I had to deal with it. What did it cost me? 2 months worth of planning go poof, and 1 month of unpaid debt (cash loan). So, I'm still figuring out how to get back from that. I seem to have enough time until when my next paycheck comes, I haven't planned it yet though. Who knows what the fuck might screw me over by that time. I'll just have to sit it out and improvise.

Partially ditched my (closest) friends again, over a video game dispute. I mean, shiiiiiit I loooove me my video games. I can even say to some extent, it's all I have, next to them. And they just keep pissing me off for some stupid reasons. Like, yeah it was pretty dumb to be mad about it, but in my point of view, I was pretty certain they were aware. Like they were aware of how I am with games and probably not with any other games, but this game in particular. I'm not gonna state what game it is just for... whatever. I just don't understand... Okay so here's the thing, whenever I go dark, they eventually come to a point and ask "what's going on? Tell us what's wrong." So after you tell them what's wrong, you get that security that, these set of people are aware, they know how they should deal with your BS. Right?! Then here comes me throwing shade, and they just give up instantly. Like, I don't understand the point of me explaining to them what's wrong with me if they immediately, instantaneously give up, right?1 Like what's the point of telling a story, if after saying the lesson the reader just goes "let's do it again." I hate to say it but, while it is true that most of the time that we have "the talk" is between alcohol, but I gotta admit... it's sad when they just seem to pretend to listen. It's stupid how it started from video game dispute to not listening, right? Like I'm some kind of moody s/o or something. But that's how I feel, I mean, that's the best that I could explain how it feels. So, Idk, I'm not exactly writing this other than for my own pleasure so, eh... Not my problem if you can't translate.

Also, I've been unfollowing news outlets and skipping anything I scroll past that's political or covid related. I've actually been doing it ever since like April, but this time I'm almost hard committing to not getting involved. I mean, sometimes I get into flame wars in the comment section just for the heck of it. But I try to go into flame wars that I know I'm certain to win haha. Like, fr tho. I don't wanna get burned too much. But then again, I still also do my best to stay away from anything related at all.

As I'm writing this I actually paused a game I recently received as a gift. NieR:Automata™. I've been wanting to play this for a while now, especially when I found out that this is basically a bigger story-centered version of Stanley Parable did. I was like "oh shit, I gotta play this game." I'm not sure if I have been spoiled already when I saw reviews before, but hopefully, my description of the game here, doesn't ruin it for those who haven't played it yet too. Also, you have some dedication reading this post if you've made it this far. If you did, do send game recommendations. I like the ones that have an absurd number of multiple endings. I blame Stanley Parable for this, but I just really fancy the idea. Or at least a confusing one, like Control. I haven't played it yet but it's been out for a while. I know I wanted to play it since it was teased, but I never got the chance to grab the game yet, when it recently dropped in Steam. I was indeed spoiled about something about the ending, so, probably after NieR, my lists are as follows. (I'm not gonna make a bulleted list coz it'll be easily seen when anyone clicked "see more" and people be like "meh, just a bunch of lame gaming posts") So my lists is, for big title, I'm waiting for WD: Legion and CyberPunk 2077. Then comes Detroit become human, Control, Beyond: Two Souls. I have a bunch in mind that I wanna play but these are my focus for now. That's after I finished NieR.

Well, you've made it. You somehow read through this entire thing. I gotta say, I actually had a lot of negative shit to posts. But I think my YouTube-ing, actually helped. I have been watching Smosh Pit. Holy guacamole Smosh is hella different than when I was first watching it back in 2010-2012. Anthony has long since left, and Ian has just been awkward to watch, sometimes. He looks like "when the boss tries to look quirky like the employees" whenever he's in a video, lol. But him and Anthony did establish the whole thing up, he probably got stuck to it after Anthony left. Since, you can't really just leave your legacy to a bunch of other people, right? Anyway, idk why I'm talking about that so.... You know the unfortunate thing is, after all this, nobody still really cares. Doesn't matter how much effort I put into socializing with people. After everything that I've gone through, once it's all said and done. At the end of the day, all I really have is myself. I think I've come to a point now that I've been doing self-love too much, that I've taken myself for granted. So, I'm just like "whatever" now. Nothing matters, we're all shitty people, we're all just a bunch of gas moving around, we're all gonna die, nobody's gonna know us as soon as 5 years after we died.

This is probably the only time I'm gonna say this on facebook or any of my other socials as I'm gonna try to hide it. I'm gonna do my own vlogging again. BUUUT it's not gonna be on anything that can be monetized. It's gonna be just my personal vlogs. I'll have it in my tumblr, what's my tumblr, that's for you to figure out. I've missed vlogging, and not the modern fancy ass vlogging that you see in YouTube. The vlogging I grew up with is literally just a video-blog/vlog, like a diary. So you take a video and you keep it somewhere. I didn't wanna upload it actually, I was gonna have it as a keepsake. But just for the heck of it, I'll put it in the internet so it's there forever. Unless tumblr gets taken down or do a friendster/myspace. So, yeah, I haven't posted anything yet, nor had taken a video. But as soon as I started rolling, I'll post it there and it'll just be a memory of me.

As an American that is very seriously considering moving out of country somewhere and is considering moving to a Scandinavian country, I'd really appreciate it if you'd share a little bit about what life is like there? Do you enjoy living in Finland?? Sorry if this is weird...America is just a pretty scary place to be lately.

first of all; i spent half an hour writing the answer and then accidentally closed the tab. i am sCREAMING INSIDE !!!!!

but, lets do this again, so:

hey!! yeah i am from finland! born and raised! and its not weird to ask ,, tbh i kinda get your point. i actually answered to an ask yesterday telling what are my 5 favorite things about living in finland, but i can tell you some more under the cut, especially differences etc ! this was actually fun to write

ok first things first, food is very expensive. ofc not in fast food chains like mc donalds etc, but restaurant-restaurants are expensive and also grocery stores, unless you’re buying the store’s own product so at least we’ve got a cheaper option. but yeah restaurants are very expensive (salads starting from 12euros, pizzas from 13euros, chinese/nepalese starting from 12euros, sushi is so damn expensive dont even get me started on that, i only ever eat it in a lunch buffet… and if you wanna order a steak or something like that lmao prepare to pay nearly 20euros OR MORE),, anyway during lunch hours there are usually special offers. coffee prices aren’t that bad. we also have starbucks! but not all the drinks that you guys have

just like food, alcohol is very expensive, so if you like your liquor be ready waste a lot of money on it. thats why finnish people actually go to estonia by ship to full the cabinets bc their alcohol is so much cheaper! its a finnish tradition lol. same goes with cigarettes. its 8 euros for a pack in here so 9 dollars.

traveling abroad is pretty expensive, but mostly just to the states and some very exotic places like the maldives idk. its like 1000euros to travel to california (i would know because i’ve always wanted to visit but im poor af 3). traveling inside finland is not that expensive , gas is p expensive but depends on the gas station

clothes are not that expensive, at least it depends on what you’re buying. mostly anyway its the same price range that in usa i think but we don’t have the same stores, at least not forever 21 and primark for example but we do have h&m and zara and then some european stores like bik bok (which is my personal fav!) also victoria’s secret is super expensive cause it’s not normal for finns. there are only 2 of them in here anyway, one in the capital city aka helsinki and a small one at the airport

now to holidays! in actual calendar order ;-) valentine’s day; not big on celebrating, stores have stuff and some people do spend it but… not like… many easter; we have a thing similar to trick or treating, kids only dress as bunnies and witches tho may day; basically students (from like college) get “crowned “with student caps. everyone goes out to a park for a picnic and to drink. a lot. im telling you finnish people are huge drunks,, also its part of the tradition to dress funnily, stores sell weird may day clothing (like glittery hats and neon colored sunglasses), also there are sugar donuts and a either alcoholic or non-alcoholic (you decide) drink called sima. aaand decorations like balloons and paper streamers are literally everywhere midsummer; other finns go to their cottages and barbecue and go to sauna and swim in the lake. others go to a festival to get wasted. either way its a beautiful finnish tradition lmao, also this is the night when the sun shines for the whooole night!! not like literally shines but its not dark at all. there are bonfires and honestly, i’d say midsummer is the one holiday where finnish people really drink. like its -the- heavy drinking holidayhalloween; NO trick or treating which was very sad to kid-me bc no one gave me candy when i went t-o-t as a kid. also still pissed off cause it’s my fav holiday. stores sell halloween stuff and people dress up for parties, but no one really decorates. which sucks. finland sucks for halloween tbh. one plus is that we have the perfect halloween weather because its super dark and chilly and rainy and orange leaves everywhere during halloween-time!!thanks-giving; very very very little people celebrate this. definitely not a common thing. i only do it with friends and we call it friends-givingindependence day; obviously finland’s independence day. 100 years this year!!! christmas; 1000000% celebrate. so much snow. so cold. every store has christmas things and plays christmas music. everyone decorates. i mean it’s only fair bc santa claus lives in finland duhnew year; well i don’t think theres a country that doesn’t celebrate this tbh. stores sell stuff again. we have fireworks. also a lot of drinking. againalso obvs moher’s day and father’s day

concerts happen, not as often (especially with big stars) as they do in the states, but they happen! so do festivals. i actually summer-work at the largest one in finland ayyyyyy

also, finnish people swear. like. a lot

MINUSES;- it can get freezing in the winter. last winter the lowest we hit was like -32 degrees- most of the time during summer it rains. this is also a finnish people joke because there was a meme saying “in the bible it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. they called it the apocalypse. in finland it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. they called it summer”- some finns are very narrow-minded, so expect not everyone to definitely not agree with you. i actually have a hard time dealing with this and usually always stood out from the mass mainly bc i am way too social and open-minded and everything to hang out with kids my age because their opinions and standards never really match to mine. finns are tbh kinda raised to be cold and they have to be well educated. oh boy if you only would’ve heard all the things they have told me after i have told them that i wanna make a living out of singing and acting and writing! - well the expensive things that i mentioned and the lack of halloween :-( - also if you wanna make it big, like international-big, in the music industry for example, it is very hard to try and do that from here because literally no one either knows that we exist or thinks that we live in igloos and have polar bears in our backyard. also everyone loves sweden more lmao and we hate that. there’s actually a finnish joke ,, we won them in hockey one year with 6-1 and every time we argue with a swedish person… thats always a great comeback, no matter how long its been :-)

PLUS- THINGS;+ we are mostly a very safe country with an amazing president+ free health insurance+ free studying + same sex marriage is approved+ summer is very beautiful if its not raining. especially in the countryside. amazing!!! + finns aren’t over-all bad, for example there is an incredible bond between finns when it comes to extreme finnish stuff, like midsummer drinking, seeing dramatic movies that revolve around finnish history (like war for example, a re-make of an old movie called the unknown soldier just came out and it was intense in the cinema!), hockey victory and this especially!!!! like it doesn’t matter if you hated that guy from your math class, if you two run into each other on a victory night, you fucking hug for three hours because WE FUCKING WON and tbh that is what i find most beautiful in our culture. its cute + ok honestly, just christmas again. finland is the winter wonderland i am telling you!

overall, i enjoy living in finland very much. it is a home and even though i wish to live abroad one day, finland will always be my home!! so if you really wanna move out, i suggest you at least consider finland. we are actually an amazing country. i hope this helped you! XO

Cutting it close to the departure time at. Flight was at 9AM. We arrived in Portland around 11PM. First stop was at Nong’s Kao Man Kai or Hainan Chicken over rice in english. A lot of people hyped up this restaurant for me so I had such a high expectation. First impression, the decorations does remind me of my home. We didn’t need to wait to be seated, just wait in line, order, and grab a seat. Food was a little pricey for chicken over rice. Food arrived, first bite without the sauce, nothing special. Second bite with the sauce, the sauce was amazing! it tasted like how it supposed to taste. This place also had fresh garlic on the side for you to add to your sauce. Fresh garlic was a nice touch, it compliments the sauce really well. I must say it was pretty good but still can’t get over the fact of how expensive it is though. Our second stop was at VooDoo Donut. We ordered a dozen of assorted and it came out to $20 lol......12 donuts for $20 was pretty extreme. The taste? it was just whatever. I could be bias though cause I like traditional style donuts, just glaze or sugar coated. 3rd stop, Barcade called Ground Control. It was a little nice arcade place. More of the old school games than modern games. I got to play one of my old favorite game; Time Crisis 2.

Spent a couple of hours there before we check in at the Airbnb. While we were driving to the airbnb, just a little bit outside of downtown, we noticed that the outskirt of Portland literally has nothing but houses. Barely has any restaurants and super markets, very different from where we came from. We checked in at 4PM and rested till 6PM before we got ready to get dinner. We were trying to get dinner at this one famous spot in downtown but it was an hour wait so we went to get pasta nearby instead. This place is also known in Portland but less people. It seemed like most of restaurant in Portland has no assign seating, literally just order at the front and grab a table. We ordered 3 plates; Mac and Cheese, Carbonara Spaghetti, and something else I forgot lol. It was good but nothing special. After dinner we drove a couple of blocks down to a Brewery Jeff was recommended. The place was cool and chill. We ordered some snack and beer. I love the fact that you can order half a pint. I can’t drink a lot of beer so this is perfect for me! We asked the waitress of where should we go for nightlife and she told to just walk down the street to basically China Town Area we were . at this morning. OH I forgot to mention that Portland has one of the saddest China Town ever. China town with no asian...What kind of shit is this. Anyways, we were at this area called “Old Town” supposedly be Gas Lamp of Portland. We were confused when we arrived....it wasn’t that early but it was so empty......friday night at 11PM and barely anybody walking around....We asked one of the club promoter if this is normal? nobody is out here on friday night. He said “yeah man this is it, it’s not like LA” we were like “ahh yeah we’re from LA lol” After a long walk we have decided to check out one of the 90s music bar. It was pretty cool but it was kind of dead. First thing I did when we got in, I took a shot right away so maybe that will make me have a little more fun lol. We went onto the dance floor and I couldn’t help myself but to noticed how weird these people dances......it was so awkward......I guess they do things differently out here than California. We only spent a couple of hours in that club and decided that this is real boring so we took off to buy food and came back to the airbnb and just hangout.

We woke up not to early to get breakfast at this well known Dim Sum Spot, considering the MOST famous place for dim sum. Wasn’t disappointed tho, food was good and the price wasn’t too bad. After breakfast we drove out to the east side of Portland to go hiking at Beacon....something. I personally don’t like hiking but fuck it. As much as I hate hiking, I am glad I did it though. The view was beautiful the only bad thing I can say is, you actually get better view 3/4 way up than on the top lol. We kept pushing east to sighting seeing

Today we were going to explore the inner city. We had a breakfast at Screen Door. American style breakfast and brunch. I ordered Chicken Waffles. There were options for 2, 3, or 4 pieces. I got 3 not knowing how big it would be. Just imagine roughly 10oz of chicken thigh....I was dont after eating 2 pieces of chicken and half of the waffles. Not going to lie though, sight seeing in Portland was kind of whatever, at least for me. That’s also why I didn’t take lots of good photos. We had some beer and play some board games between each places. You made a stop at Pittock’s Mansion. The mansion itself was a little bit creepy, the view from the mansion was just okay, not as amazing as the online said...a little disappointed. We didn’t really know what else to do toward the end of the day so we went to Top Golf. Top Golf might just be the most fun I had during the whole trip. I used to play golf before but I was not good. It’s nice to get to play again. We had a little competition, loser buys drink. After that we went to dinner at Pok Pok, one of the most known thai food in Portland so I was excited. We ordered a lot in quantity but the portion is nothing. We orders 6 difference dishes. 3 out of 6 was one of the rare dishes you can find in the U.S. Fast forward to after the meal, now I am going to sum it up the meal for you. The portion size was good, though it’s small but you can try other dishes too. so it’s not entirely bad that it’s small but the price for that size was a little excessive. I was really disappointed in hoi tod, it was only crispy on the outside but the inside is soggy, its almost like it was soaking in oil....however they got the sriracha sauce right though. Kong op woonsen was decent, nothing stands out for a plate that costs $17. Yum kai down was good. It tasted like how it supposed to be but again, $8 dollars for a couple of fried eggs was a little too much. The bill came out to $150 something for 3 people and for 6 dishes....think about it. That was way too expensive.

We didn’t do much on the last day before the flight. All on all I’d probably not going to go back to Portland again. I think main reason was, it’s just not my type of vibe. Food was very expensive and it didn’t taste like how it supposed to for the most places I’ve eaten. It was very hard to drive around in the city...you would think LA or New York is the worst...nope this is by far the worst. People of Portland are not as diverse as other states I’ve been to...it made me a little uncomfortable. annnnd yep.
