BEST FRIEND SEVENTEEN A⇴Z HEADCANON ⇴ Vernon Chwe

A ⇴ ATTENTION

Everyone knew that when you were around, Vernon paid attention to no one else. He never tried to hide it, quite often he would start ignoring someone else when he realised that you weren’t too far away from him.

B ⇴ BICKER

If the two of you felt strongly enough about something, then you would absolutely bicker with one another. It was done most of the time in the middle of giggles with both of you usually bickering saying funny things that would get the other person laughing rather than potentially trying to insult them.

C ⇴ COMFORT

One of the best things about having Vernon as your best friend was how he was always there for you whenever you needed him. He knew exactly what you needed every time when you were struggling, he’d learnt a lot about how to comfort you especially so that you never felt as if you were alone when struggling.

D ⇴ DISAGREEMENTS

Most of the time the two of you would find yourselves arguing over pretty petty things because you liked to make the other happy. Things like where you would eat for dinner, or what sort of music you’d play in the background of your time together were all things you squabbled over, as you liked to do the things that Vernon liked to do, and he liked to do the things that you wanted to please you too.

E ⇴ EARLY YEARS

When the two of you first met, there was plenty of nerves, not just about being around one another, but everything else that was going on too. The stress and the worry that came with being the newbies ended up pushing the two of you closer to one another though as the feeling of being in the same boat meant that you relied on each other a lot, almost sticking to each other’s sides quite often too.

F ⇴ FAMILY

Vernon’s family were incredibly caring, they made you feel like one of their own most of the time. You knew that if you ever needed help, Vernon’s family would be there for you, quite often they stepped in when you were struggling. Vernon would only ever have to mention that you were in a sticky situation and his parents especially would be ringing you so that they could see what the problem was to help with it.

G ⇴ GETTING TOGETHER

Most of the time the two of you squabbled about what to do as you could never make your minds up. You usually had to plan your get togethers in advance otherwise you’d spend most of the time deciding what it was that you would actually do as you always tried to do what the other person wanted to do.

H ⇴ HABITS

The two of you had a habit of laughing too much, usually ending up with your sides hurting from giggling so much. You knew the exact way to tickle one another and leave them struggling to concentrate, even if the others around you weren’t laughing, as long as you two were, that was all that mattered.

I ⇴ INSIDE JOKES

Not many people knew the two of you even had inside jokes because you kept them so well hidden between the two of you. They were only ever talked about when the two of you were alone as you didn’t like to run the risk of someone else trying to get in on your jokes and make them something different.

J ⇴ JEALOUSY

He tried his best not to get jealous of your other friends, for your sake Vernon mostly tried to get along with them and ask plenty of questions to get to know them too. You could tend to see through the forced smile that would be on his face though when he was trying to get to know a friend that he wasn’t particularly impressed with, even if the person that he was talking to had no idea that Vernon was judging them.

K ⇴ KICKS

Vernon got a kick out of the little things, like seeing a text from you or hearing you chuckle. He never needed anything grand from your friendship, he definitely didn’t take anything for granted, with even the sound of you saying his name sometimes enough to turn the corners of his mouth up into a smile.

L ⇴ LOVE

He loved how well he got along with you, Vernon never expected to have the sort of friendship that would be like two peas in a pod, but that phrase summed the two of you up perfectly. It scared him at times how compatible the two of you seemed to be as friends, but having that someone that suited him so well, and also got him so well were two things that Vernon never took for granted from you.

M ⇴ MEETING

The two of you first met as trainees, on your very first day you found yourself walking side by side when you were given a tour of the company. It took a lot for the two of you to build up the courage to say hello to one another, but after you did, the two of you knew that you would stick around with one another.

N ⇴ NONSENSE

Whenever the two of you were alone was usually when you were at your silliest, messing around and annoying one another. You were shy around others, but when you were alone, you both just lost control.

O ⇴ OBSESSION

Vernon was obsessed with your personality and how well it matched his own. He loved that he had someone similar to him, but also someone who sometimes wasn’t similar, but still complimented so well.

P ⇴ PRECIOUS MOMENTS

Nothing made Vernon smile more than when the two of you were just laughing. He loved the escapism of messing around with you and the fact that he could just forget about everything else going on for a while. You knew that too, and so when you were with Vernon, you just tried to make him comfortable.

Q ⇴ QUESTIONS

He loved to ask you questions simply to initiate conversation with you, silence with you wasn’t something that Vernon enjoyed much. Your conversations were random to say the least, but you both enjoyed them.

R ⇴ RANDOM FACTS

Whenever either of you were up on stage, you wore a bracelet, with the other having the matching one. You got away with it for quite some time until an eagle-eyed fan spotted that you both had the same bracelet, knowing that the only reason you wore them was to let everyone know that you were best friends.

S ⇴ SUPPORT

Having your support was something that Vernon never took for granted. He loved having your support and the comfort of knowing that you were cheering him on, knowing that even if no one else in the room was there to support him, at least you would be there in his corner as his number one fan.

T ⇴ TRIPS

Whenever he visited family, either in Korea or away from Korea, Vernon loved to take you with him. Being able to introduce as many members of his family as possible to his best friend meant a lot to Vernon.

U ⇴ ULTIMATE

There was no one else that Vernon could ever imagine calling his best friend, it only ever seemed like a role for you to fill.

V ⇴ VISITS

The two of you often tried to align your schedules together so that you could visit one another. Getting lunch was usually how you spent your free time, making sure you finished at the same time together.

W ⇴ WISDOM

Whenever you needed advice, Vernon tried his best to give it to you by putting himself into your shoes for a little while.

The two of you weren’t massive on affection, but if it felt right, then you would. Most of the time it would be something simple like a hug when you could tell that the other was having a bit of a rough time.

You were his number one, the go to person in his life was definitely you above anyone else.

Z ⇴ ZZZ

Most of the time he liked to try and sleep at your apartment so that he could escape the noise of the dorm for a little while. The peace and quiet that came with staying with you was something Vernon could never turn down.

It was raining today so the sky was dark, seungcheol thought that it was the perfect time for a movie with his daughter.

Now they're sitting on the couch, watching a certain movie while snuggling on their own blankets.

Until seungcheol went and grabbed a jar of cookies and placed it on his lap, taking a piece and biting on it.

He knew for sure that he saw his daughters eyes gazing on the jar he was holding, He knew that his daughter had this 'holding back' personality.

So he tried to get her out of that cage, making a satisfied face before speaking. "This cookie sure taste so good." He said making sure she heard it.

A soft smile formed on his face when he saw her fiddling with her tiny fingers, gulping as her eyes kept going back and forth from the jar.

Seungcheol couldn't just hold it anymore and chuckle before handling a cookie to her. "Here.."

His daughter took a second before accepting it, mumbling, "th-ank you.."

He shook his head as he patted the space beside him so his daughter could sit closer to him, which she did.

He placed a kiss on top of his daughter's head as he caressed her hand.

"I know you're shy, d/n..but please don't be with dad okay?...." He said, making his daughter slightly smile and nod.

"Well.. Is the cookie as good as I said?" He said trying to lift up the mood.

Her smile grew as she nodded. "Yes dad, it has chocolate chips inside, my favorite!" She said more cheerfully this time making her father feel slightly proud.

"I'll buy you hundreds of that if it makes you act like that again.."

Wonwoo

"You can do it sweetie, daddy will be right here." Wonwoo comforted his daughter who was gripping on his waist, not wanting to let go.

"... T-theres too many people out there daddy....i don't want to go out there.." His daughter gripped on him like a koala.

He knelt down and held both sides of her face, her cheeks getting squished.

"Sweetie..its okay.. I know you're scared but it's alright you will be amazing, people will go 'wow' when they see you dance there..c'mon.. I thought you said you will make your grandmother proud with this dance?" He reassured her with a soft smile.

Which caused her to lighten up a bit and look up at him, "yes daddy... I'll do it for gwanny.." She said.

And that, she walked in stage eyes still stuck on her father who was going back to his seat, mouthing 'you got this.'

She smiled before hearing the song start and while performing, she only had one thing repeating on her head.

' 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘨𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘺..𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘨𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘺..'

She performed perfectly, and just like that when she was done, she closed her eyes as she breathed heavily she was nervous whether what the audience's reaction will be.

Until she heard it, applause.

Opening her eyes and seeing the people clapping for her.. And her father was the loudest one, cheering for her the best.

She smiled and bowed, before running towards her dad and hugging him. "I did it dad..i was so scared.."

"You did great..perfect" wonwoo said placing a kiss on her cheek as he smiled at her.

"I made gwanny proud didn't I? " she said, hands interwined as she waited for her fathers response.

"You sure did."

Mingyu

Multiple cameras were in front of mingyu, taking photos of him while his daughter watched on the back.

Apparently it was mingyus photoshoot today and y/n was busy so he had to bring his daughter.

He wouldn't lie if he said it was already killing him just by watching his daughter silently watching him from afar, besides the make up room where no one was.

He knew she had an introverted personality, maybe it was a punishment for him being too loud.

So before the last photoshoot could start, he had an idea and went and approached the photographer.

"Hey ma'am? Can I have a request for this last photoshoot?" He said with a nervous smile, but he was relieved when the photographer nodded.

"In this photoshoot.. Can I be with my daughter?"

That request shocked the woman but she quickly smiled and nodded. "Of course! Where's the little princess?" She said excitedly.

Mingyu grinned before walking towards his daughter, who was sitting there playing with her teddy bear, smiling when she saw her dad approaching. "Daddy.."

"Yes baby.. I'm here." He said as he carried her, stroking her back as he spoke with a calm voice.

"Can daddy have a request?" When he said that, she looked at him in confusion before nodding.

"Can my little d/n....go take photos with me?" He said with some slight puppy eyes, knowing when he does that his daughter would accept because of how 'silly looking' he is.

But she hesitated for a second, looking away and blinking rapidly before calming herself and nodding.

Mingyu smiled widely before putting her down and bringing her to the main shoot. All eyes we're on her. Making the little one nervous. "Daddy..why are-...

"Because you look pretty, baby.." He cut her off knowing what she was feeling, He's gonna make this a new thing for his daughter.

the photographer smiled at her and walked towards her kneeling in front of her, making her more nervous and scared but..

The photographer reached out for her hand as she shook it, smiling at the little girl. "I'm predicting you'll be like your father when you grow up little girl, you are gorgeous."

That's when d/n looked up to her dad, who was already smiling at her. She formed a shy smile and looked back at the woman. "Thank you so much!"

Both mingyu and the woman chuckled at her sudden loudness.

Vernon

"Go on, princess." He said hand on his daughters shoulder as she looked at the kids playing on the playground.

"But.. What if.. What if they don't like me, dad? " she said with a frown, Vernon piched her cheeks and shook his head. "They will princess, if they don't daddy will throw uncle tiger to them."

"Uncle Hoshi? I mean.. What if-

"No more what ifs princess! If you don't approach them I won't buy you ice cream." And before he could even react, she was already walking towards the kids.

Wow.. This kid is really down for ice cream..

He watched her make her way to the kids as she bowed and shyly introduced herself, Vernon was already on guard, watching of what they will do to his princess.

But a smile formed his face when he saw the kids introduced themselves too and dragged his daughter to play with them.

He chuckled until his friend finally came back. "So? What happened? Did she make friends?" Soonyoung asked breathing heavily.

Vernon just shrugged and looked at him. "Let's just say... I won't be throwing you this time."

"Excuse me?"
