Hannah Fairlight is back on the scene with a brand new studio album: Muscle and Skin

July 2020 - Artist and songwriter Hannah Fairlight managed to perfect a potent blend of alt-folk and earnest singer-songwriter music. Her music is direct and unapologetic, with a special focus on memorable melodies and introspective arrangements with an understated feel. Recently, she released a new album titled “Muscle and Skin.” This project displays a world-class production, and Hannah set out to capture some of her  most intimate performances yet, revealing her penchant for honest lyrics and soaring compositions, often enriched with elements as diverse as strings, gritty old-school drums, pianos and acoustic guitars. What’s special about her work is the fact that she welcomes a wider range of influences, meaning that there is really no limit to the artist’s fervent imagination and vivid creativity. If you enjoy the work of artists like Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Tori Amos and Patti Smith, this one is definitely going to be right up your alley.

Muscle and Skin is a great introduction to Hannah Fairlight and her music, and it definitely highlights the constant evolution that drives her work.
