With the chaos of a recently graduated Tom Riddle sent out into the world, and the ministry breathing that much more down Albus Dumbledore's neck for the last few weeks after he'd been forced on "administrative leave" by the ministry while he was in their custody for the last several weeks, beaten and tortured until he gave into their demands to duel Gellert Grindelwald once more. He knew his husband's actions had grown more horrific over the years that even he could not ignore, and between that, the torture...

He had accepted.

The ministry was unaware of his possession of the resurrection stone, given to him by Flamel in case things turn for the worst in that duel. He's made enough potion to live out the next fifty years with himself and his wife- Should Albus not come home from this. Days before, he had sent out a letter. Part of him hoped it did not make it to him, or he would simply ignore his ridiculous quest for a final duel, to see who would finally come out on top. Or, in the ministries eyes.. If good would triumph over evil.

For the greater good.

Days later, he had anxiously arrived at that location, dressed in his usual attire. His wand was grasped tightly in his hand, other shoved in his pocket, wrapped tightly around the stone in his pocket. He had used illusion charms to hide what a wreck he really looked like, after what the ministry had put him through for the last several weeks. In his weakened state he might've still been quite the formidable opponent- But the ministries underestimated Grindelwald when it came to Dumbledore. He truly didn't know who would triumph this time. He hoped so desperately that the letter had not made it, or he would refuse.

More on that Dropout Band AU

I can't find it right now but I once pitched an AU idea where TFA Optimus and his gang dropout/are kicked out of the Autobots and end up scraping their remaining credits together to form a traveling band to stay afloat, which ends up becoming really popular with Decepticons.

Well I just imagined a random little tidbit for that today: what if our starving artists literally ate their old Autobot insignias?

Hear me out! This comes from the idea that before they become a successful band they're low on essentials, like fuel. And perhaps they're too far from a planet to make a pit stop anytime soon... so, what's left to scrounge together for a quick snack or meal to get you through to the next space port? Why, literal scrap around the ship, that's what!

Imagine all they have left are some nickel shavings and a dream, as well as some scrap and their own insignias. Perhaps they had dropped out/defected suddenly, so they didn't get a chance to return the badge. Perhaps they were made to keep them, as a way for Ultra Magnus and the Autobot high command to keep an optic on them by tracking their location...

Extra funny if it's the latter, as after they crush and chew the insignias they obviously no longer work, so the Autobots who were tracking them assume they've all died some horrible deaths while stranded out in space lmao.

Anyways the insignias hold very little nutritional value but they'd be enough to fill their tanks with something until their next stop. Kinda like how folks strapped for a meal in famine will boil and eat uncured leather. Also it would be hilarious because it only adds to their street cred with the Decepticons... I'd imagine Bumblebee would be the one to spill the beans. He'd spin the tale so as to make it sound more like they were "sticking it to the man" and less like they were just starving lmao. Meanwhile the 'Cons are like "damn that's badass... they literally ate the symbol of the oppressors wow"

i love sincerely love working with dungeon meshi's magic system and the way mana sickness is depicted, like it has the breadth and scope for some truly powerful and wacky fun shit, but you can also easily bring down the hammer when you want to put the characters in difficult situations they can't get out of without a little creativity. i found when writing for baldur's gate 3 that, unless i was in a modified setting, i was hard-pressed thinking up fun ways for characters to solve their problems without just using magic, especially for the small things. i mean, what fun is throwing a character into a river and needing to warm them up when you can just cast prestidigitation?? it's one of the first things a novice can learn and also it's a cantrip, it literally costs nothing!

My partner just finished his first playthrough of death stranding and he waited on me for every single tar-covered cigarette smoking mads mikkelsen cutscene. To be loved lol

So the concept behind this is that Kim releases a post-canon album and Porchay releases an album of his own in response. I love the idea of how the songs on each of these would affect the other person listening to them, as well as giving both characters the ability to use songs to communicate feelings that they can't express openly in person.

I love both these VP moods but struggled with mixing them in a single playlist! The vibes were too all over the place - so now theres one for the emotional stuff and one for the self-destructive decisions bourne from hedgehog funerals and bisexual lighting

SO! Thoughts on playlists:

The concepts behind the KimChay playlists are my favourite and they're the ones I put the most thought into! - I started them back in july and I'm still adding to them now! They're not necessarily all about Kim and Chay's relationship per-se, there are a couple that I think really fit Kim's relationship with his brothers for example, or the way that Porchay feels living in the compound with his lack of autonomy. I've tried to keep a consistent sound/vibe throughout and match both the lyrics and the sound to the melancholy post canon situation!

My absolute favourite is Chay's album (lovingly referred to as the chaylist). Picturing the absloute breakdown Kim would have listening to some of these songs sang by Chay is so delicious to think about. Hopefully these would be the catalyst to a KimChay resolution!

There are a couple of other less developed/experimental playlists like for KinnBig, Tankhun (sad lol) and KimBig on my spotify profile! (as well as some other non KP playlists)

Hello folks I am thinking 🤔🤔🤔 So like, of course at the end of Crash 4, Cortex goes back in time to try to stop himself from creating Crash in the first place, and for some reason throughout today I've been thinking abt.. him running into R. Marie in the past as well <_< Back when she wasn't a commander and was still a low-ranking minion working her way up the ladder, back when she didn't love him and her feelings for him were indifference at BEST, and maybe even back then she hadn't started developing plans to betray him, which were plans that were never even put into motion.

What would it be like to see someone that you have YEARS of history with, at a time before you even knew they existed? I feel like there might even be a moment where he feels a wave of relief and familiarity wash over him and practically rushes to her cuz shit is STRESSFUL right now and he needs the comfort, but she's just extremely nervous like "why is my boss who I've never talked to before hugging me wtf?????" But I feel like she actually WOULD believe that he's from the future, which would just make learning about how they come together in the future even more mind boggling, and she'd probably be like "haha, oh please, like I'd ever fall for a moron like him." :T wELL WE SEE HOW THAT WENT DONT WE

i will say though— and this is probably bc I haven’t rewatched his episode in quite some time— but i’ve always considered trent and craig to be kind of similar characters?? this is also likely bc of an old RP of mine my rp partner and i shipped trent and thomas and they were like discount creek lmao

and i’ve always pictured craig and christophe having a pretty solid friendship, but not really any romance involved. i think trent could be similar there, with he and christophe making a good team and force to be reckoned with 👀
