TOLD YOU I SHOULDN’T HAVE PUT NAMAMONO AND YOMEIRI FIRST.

Goddamn. I started listening to this way back in November, stopped, and picked it up again in January. It’s not that it was boring (debatable), but I found myself looking like

the whole time. First of all, where’s the fucking police in this? I mean, everybody deserves a second chance and whatnot, but he should have did the time or at least paid Yumi for damages for what he’s done and not just emo-ed his way out. “I doN’T waNnA beCoME moRE HoRRiBlE thAN tHiS” bullshit.

Sorry, I really hate this. 😂

Anyway, enough about the plot. The main reason why I listened to this in the first place was because I wanted to listen to SatoTaku top Ono Yuuki again and see if he’s gonna do better than their prior encounter in Memento Scarlet. I actually already knew how it was going to go because I’ve listened to the 2015 special many eons ago, but SatoTaku didn’t have to act that good to prove that his Memento Scarlet performance wasn’t his fault. 😩 See? There was absolutely no need for SatoTaku to go that low because Ono Yuuki’s voice was even lower than his here, but that did nothing to affect their chemistry and their delivery of the story. This is how you cast, Movic. 

It is no surprise that the casting and execution was great because this is Shinshokan we’re talking about. Everybody came back y’all! Another reason why I was so reluctant to listen to this was my fear that not everyone will come back (esp Wacchan), but Shinshokan got them back!!! 😭😭😭 For a work that I hated plot-wise, this had a pretty dang good casting. I’ll give it that. I mean, why the fuck would I even put myself through all this stress if it not for them, right?

I have to say, though, the order of the dialogue was a little different. I had to be chasing the BLCD sometimes, so that was a little difficult. Definitely reminded me of my time with Memento Scarlet, but not entirely as bad. However, if you’ve never read or listened to the other installments, I’d suggest going through those first because it’s better to have a better background on the story. You might go into this thinking that Kan-chan and Yumi didn’t have any closure (I mean, do they actually???). 

Listening to this only gave me boredom and stress in all honesty, but if you’re a fan of the series, you do you. Although it’s not exactly loyal to the manga’s sequencing of events, it’s still voiced and executed seamlessly. 👌
