Happy 6th Anniversary to Dreams of Freedom!
Wishing everyone a happy May 25th, 2024! It's been a long six years of writing, editing, clawing for inspiration, and celebrating together as chapters and books come out.
For some of you, Tiffany and Fiona have been steadfast companions; for others, you're just barely meeting them. Some of you have horses (aka OCs) in this race, and some of you have stayed quietly on the sidelines watching the show. No matter who you are or how long you've followed the series, you're here, and that's what counts.
To celebrate this occasion, today I've launched a YouTube channel. On it, I'll publish chapters of Dreams of Freedom, narrated by yours truly, in audio-book format. Im literally the only one in the world who cares about this but the fact that we got Cult of Verata lore from some random book laying on the ground in one of the new Secrets of the Obscure maps is everything to me

It's cute how many simulation games offer a separate soundtrack download when I'm probably just going to mute them and listen to podcasts and video essays anyway
#usually if it's a story driven game I'll leave the audio on but otherwise all bets are off#same goes for mmos tbh. I'll listen to the cutscenes but if I'm doing missions the mute is on#I made it all the way through taz balance while leveling up in gw2

re: my post about gorrik’s audio log last week (spoilers below)
so gorrik DID see blish, as he was before his consciousness was put into a golem body. but then he turned into a swarm of beetles that attacked gorrik. oh no..... this hurts my heart poor gorrik :(
the horror of seeing his brother whom he lost, paired with being attacked by something he undoubtedly loves (bugs/beetles) is just a double whammy of a gut punch. but yao was able to comfort & stay with him <3
