Studded up and having some fun! Traction was amazing with the tire I just made from a Dunlop MX33 running a Michelin Mousse. It was perfect temperatures. The temperature was good but the snow was thick. Perhaps its time to add the rest of the studs to the rear tire? I was hoping to get a little circuit broken in for some stamina riding but it didn't quite work out. Maybe next time? I went out on a ride again Sunday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and the snow was slowly melting. The wildlife was also out. It's so peaceful out there, while I was taking a @rynopower_canada break, I could hear the birds chirping and then wuff wuff wuff the sound of a bird flying overhead. It was just a crow but so amazing to hear them fly. 😎 🤣 ⠀ ⠀ It was too deep to go up very far but down low the best riding was a 2km section of singletrack with a bit of quad trail near the top. So I made the best of it and just rode back and forth testing out the bike and my skills.⠀ ⠀ I love being able to ride and get outside. Funny there was a sledder who parked beside me. Went for a nice little ride today. It warmed up but there was a bit more snow ❄⛄ than last time. There were a lot of snowmobile tracks out there. Needless to say the trails were a little tougher but it was a good workout. 1500 calories isn't too shabby. Missing my riding buddies, it doesn't seem like many stud riders around here. I started with half tank and hit reserve. Great little ride. We had a great time doing a short loop in the forest. We got it pounded in pretty good in the deep snow and made it rideable. Carb heat - Bar heat and it was pretty enjoyable.⠀ 🚴👊✊👍 So that was over a week ago. Another 20-30cm fell last weekend. Time to take out the studs. That hammer drill is making short work of the demolition of this Dunlop AT81. It worked amazing for our early season conditions. I used this tire all October then studded it for 10 more rides.
