There aren’t any new named characters introduced in the next chapter. However, Peach Blossom’s parents, Green Pergesa and Tufted Thyatirid, do make a very short cameo. I was kind of unhappy with Green Pergesa’s original design, so I decided to redesign her and finish Tufted Thyatirid’s design too. You’ll have to wait a bit longer to meet Peach Blossom’s siblings!

This rather large moth flew into our bathroom and I am trying to get it out safely! I couldn't help but stop to admire its leaf-like wings. Its wings were quivering slightly when I first saw it, but this nice bug decided to stand still for the photoshoot! Do you happen to know what species it is?
-Sempervivarium (my sub blog)
Ohhhh this is a lovely sphinx!!! They always have such a pleasing wing shape and coloring. The wing shape definitely makes it easy to identify just about any moth in the Sphingidae family. This one is a green pergesa hawkmoth, Pergesa acteus, and is the only species in its genus.
This one was easy because it’s so distinct, but submitters please remember to include your location for easier identification in the future!
Thank you for submitting, though! As always, submissions don’t count towards the one (1) nice bug per day.

More on the green Pergesa hawk moth. My patrons at patreon.com/immysmith can see the finished version, & an early view of the associated sweary drawing paper review, on their private blog! I'm so happy to be drawing moths again 😁🦋💚✏️
