hello tumblr.com you'll have to excuse me because instead of being autistic about something relevant like a tv show or perhaps nature, i have become entranced by the experience of the american diner. i very much would like to go through the whole thing again. it is so structured and expected and there's a menu and sugar packets and bench seats and comfortable food and PIE! and you get to have pleasant light conversation and nothing more and the lighting is never bright and it's all very very cool

The transport pod crash survivor Purple Shark is volunteering to be food by trying to squeeze between Vasso and Laursen. If he pushes any harder, I'll feed him to Salvatore (the cat).

There's nothing like being compared to a tarpit to get you in the mood, though, amirite??

Then Randy Random sent a space battle event, which would have been frustrating if this were still The Animist Alliance. Fortunately, the Children of Ecthuctu are a little less charitable and a little more hungry than my last colony.

We did rescue two people, one is a catgirl highmate named Duchess who looked interesting, and one was a man named Carello. A slave caravan came through soon after, though, and Carello's brother happened to be amongst the merchandise, so we sold Carello to them, and now they're reunited. How lovely! We kept Duchess, though. I'm going to try and convert her.

And then, FINALLY, Charlon Whitestone called to tell us where we can find a ship. We're going to research pemmican and survival meals, then head off and set up a new temporary base a few tiles closer to the ship. We'll inch our way there, no matter how long it takes!

Here is a helpful map of S-2 Media (the planet) showing the distance from Landfall (our current settlement) to the crashed ship. It's going to be quite a trek!

Dead by They Might be Giants- same peeps who wrote Istanbul (Not Constantinople), they’re actually from the same album called Flood. Funky songs where the main thing they have in common is awesome lyrics that are heavy metaphors for something.

My favourite thing is when I'm nocturnal and there's alcohol in the house, I'll be getting smashed at 9am and I can be dumb and turn my music way up because its 9am on a weekday, any neighbours would be out doing their jobs, anxiety gets booted for the morning, whooo!

not me speculating on how very educated rook is for the time period/culture and that her family was comfortably wealthy with probs some drops of royalty in their fam. how maybe her family's wealth accumulated due to business in trade and furthered rook's interest in the world and learning more.

mlp nextgen dynamic currently in my brain is that trixie and starlight are divorcebians who keep getting back together even though starlight is clearly pining for sunburst and trixie is just projecting her unresolved gay crush on twilight onto starlight and doesn't realize it yet. unfortunately they have a kid.

this is very much up to change though because i don't know what starlight is doing in my personal au at all

i see so many "hey this will help you write if you have adhd" things that are like. they are "more stimulating" by gamifying it somehow. like. making things on your screen move. and i regret to inform y'all that when things on my screen move without my permission it doesn't help me write it doesn't help me focus it actually just makes me murderously violent

One of the grossest places I've ever stayed in. I went on a road trip this weekend with my mother and auntie. Cabins and motels are usually pretty basic and I've stayed in my fair share of them, but this is the worst one yet.

It's Discovery Parks in Warnambool, Victoria, Australia and I do not recommend anyone stay here especially if you expect clean rooms when you arrive.

It smelled bad. There was water damage on the carpet, it was mouldy and dusty. The bedding smelled, and the curtains were old and rank. It smelled musty when we walked in. We even sterilised and washed the cookware before using them. I think I would have felt more comfortable sleeping in the car. Mystery stains on the bedding and gross shower curtain. It needs a deep clean and an update. I will never stay here again.
