C’est le week-end ! Profitez de la remarquable exposition « Hip-hop 360, gloire à l’art de la rue » proposée par la Philharmonie de Paris jusqu’au 24 juillet 2022. On se souvient des rétrospectives de David Bowie ou du velvet. La Philharmonie récidive avec un riche parcours pédagogique, sonore et immersif sur le Hip-hop français. Les premières salles sont dédiées au berceau new-yorkais du rap, celui des ghettos noirs de Harlem ou du Bronx. Aux balles réelles que s’échangent les gangs, se substituent les mots « Peace, Unity, Love and Having fun » d’afrikaa Bambaataa et sa Zulu nation. On danse sur Rapper’s delight par The Sugarhill gang. Le rap débarque en France en 1981, sur Radio 7 et pénètre les foyers grâce à l’émission Hip-Hop de TF1 animée par Sidney. Le rap français d’alors est moins sulfureux que son grand-frère américain. Il a un son à lui et du texte. De bons souvenirs refont surface. On sourit en découvrant les visages juvéniles de MC Solaar, de JoeyStarr, d’Akhenaton ou de Booba. Dès 1990, le rap hexagonal se fait plus politique avec NTM ou IAM. La dernière salle du parcours est extraordinaire. En son centre, un écran circulaire projette des vidéos en 360° et nous plonge dans des concerts et des Battle de Mix : frissons garantis ! Tout autour, on apprend à maîtriser la rime et la punchline. On découvre que mixer requiert une dextérité digne d’un musicien classique. On s’amuse de voir l’évolution de la fringue Hip -Hop, de la boutique parisienne Ticaret aux marques de luxe.
