Hanekoma stood over the body, watching the blood slowly drain onto the street. Scanning his thoughts, Hanekoma could tell that he'd probably benefit from a Game. He could use some growth, and his soul had potential as long as his will was strong enough. By all accounts, the best thing to do would be to stand by and let him die. If they worked fast they might be able to save him, but there really wasn't a reason to.

That being said, he doubted Mahia would approve of that. He must have truly looked like a monster then, standing over this man with a cold gaze and one hand in his pocket. Like he wasn't affected by the sight of death. Like he didn't care. He knew she likely couldn't understand his reasoning.

"I don't think I should save him," he said, turning his gaze back to her. "It's his time to die. However, I can... Doing something like this too much can be bad, but I know how you feel. I'll save him if you really want me to. Do you want me to, Sparrow?"

@falseapostle asked: Haruto arrived at Shibuya tired and damaged. This was not entirely what he had wanted to present to the Composer, and he worried that it wouldn't be enough. But at this point... He would have to take that up with Hazuki. He had done everything he felt appropriate.

He leaned against the wall as he waited for Joshua, making sure to stay out of sight of anyone else that might be around.

Haruto didn't have to wait long because Joshua felt it. He felt it the moment Haruto entered the city, and his blood ran cold. Hadn't he made himself clear? How many times would he have to confront Haruto before he left them alone?

"Didn't I tell you to--"

He froze. The words had been half-prepared even before he teleported over, but as he oriented himself, saw the state Haruto was in, he stopped short, eyes widening.

Blood. There was so much blood. His jacket was soaked, hands coated and fingers at odd angles, red bleeding through his pant leg, and... were those staples? All over his face and neck, stabbed vertically through his eyelid...

Joshua took a step back. He didn't speak. What was going on...?
