As a kid in the 1980s and '90s, I kept a GODZILLA scrapbook, collecting pretty much any little thing I could find. TV Guide clippings, merchandise packages, magazine blurbs, newspaper cartoons, anything I could find. These 30 pages are what remains of what was once 50-60 pages. Most of what's left are the write-ups for G merch in PREVIEWS Magazine (or whichever one we were using at the time). All scanned from my personal collection.

Shockingly, the Fathom Events screening of Godzilla: Tokyo SOS had legitimate subtitles! (The ones on the Sony DVD and Blu-ray just transcribe the English dub.) Some notes:
This was the Japanese version of the film visually as well, meaning location supers were in Japanese, there was no ugly English text slapped over the title card, and the Americans were accompanied by Japanese subtitles.
A lot of lines were preceded by character names in parenthesis. I've never seen this done before and hope I never will again; it was super distracting.
The Japanese satellite used to obtain that shot of Mothra's wing in the pre-title sequence is given a name (Survey or Surveyor?).
Tragically, Kiryu is still called "Mecha G" throughout.
The scrapbook Chujo is working on is to help make his case to the prime minister, not to serve as "a record for future generations."
There's a throughline about Chujo personifying machines which starts during the going-away party. After his scrap with Akiba, Azusa calls him out on it, saying he's more conscious of the feelings he projects onto machines than the feelings of women. (Which makes his obliviousness to her crush even funnier.) At the end of the film, when he announces his intent to sink to the bottom of the Pacific with Kiryu, she refuses to let him die with a machine and flies into action.
The Shobijin go out of sync and exclaim each other's names (Hio and Mana) when they see twin Mothra larvae hatch from the egg.
The prime minister realizes that Mothra laid her egg on Himago Island, closer to Japan than Infant Island, so her children could more easily intervene against Godzilla. That's what she was doing at the start of the film, in fact. (The Doylist explanation is that Toho has been leery about depicting Infant Islanders in live-action since Ebirah, on account of the brownface.)
Rather than Kiryu's one female mechanic coming up with the solution to fix him that a coworker immediately takes credit for, her suggestion is merely rejected.
There's no "extinct subject" mentioned in the post-credits scene (which I remember taking as evidence that Godzilla had died the first time I saw it).

thanksgiving week! got a covid booster + spent a full day recovering then had a vegetarian feast at our annual friendsgiving. friday we got diner breakfast and watched a lot of bakeoff. -Causes at least 2 fires a month from experiments that she's not allowed anywhere near a lab without at least two fire extinguishers
-Master of card games and constantly challenges other base members to games
Ethos:
-Roots for Godzilla to destroy everything in its path during the movies and is genuinely distraught when Godzilla is fended off.
-His sledgehammer, Jesse, once slipped from the holder on his belt and tumbled down a set of stairs and he sat and cradled it in his arms, panicking about how damaged it might be
(Yuuko, who has to watch this scene: Please stop crying about the hammer, it's worrying)

Sally headcanons please
Sally Williams headcanons:
Sally was created by La Mishi Mishi. Link to story/info here: cpuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Sally_Williams. None of this is canon, this only applies to my AU version of the character.
Note: My version of Sal is based off of the original 8 year old Sally Williams version instead of the later 12 year old Sally Dawn version.
-Slender Man and Sally do NOT have a father daughter relationship on Earth 2010. They don’t even like each other in my AU. Instead Splendor Man is her father figure. She lives in a mansion with him and Lazari.
-Sally’s not pure innocence in a body or anything like that. For the most part she is a sweet, caring child who just wants everyone to be happy but she also has a mischievous streak a mile wide and she’s not against using ghostly destructive temper tantrums to get her way.
-Her default response to anything that even mildly upsets her is to start crying and screaming as loudly as possible. She’s had trouble controlling her emotions ever since her death though the older people in her “life” are helping her.
-The lil’ ghost doesn’t hurt or kill anybody, all she does is prank and scare folks. Sally hates the idea of innocents being hurt/killed. Because of this she doesn’t like a lot of the horrors and the ones she does like either don’t kill innocents or have to hide their killings from her.
-Sally loves going to the human world and A: scaring the shit out of any teens or adults she comes across and B: playing with any children she finds. Splendy takes her and Lazari on weekly field trips to the human realm (incognito of course).
-She has severe panic attacks if she can’t find her teddy bear Mr. Death. Mr. D is 1 of the few things she has left to remember her parents by so she is very attached to it. She doesn't feel safe without her bear and she won’t let others touch it unless it needs stitching up or “he” allows it (i.e. Sally holds it up and waves its arms around while voice acting for it).
-She calls all the adult horrors she’s friends with her “uncles” and “aunties”. Lazari’s picked up the habit as well.
-Sally absolutely hates Laughing Jack. She loves annoying the shit out of him and knowing he can’t do anything to physically hurt her. LJ usually gets back at her by taunting her about her tragic past and all the children he’s killed. She usually runs to Splendor Man after that and just holds onto him to feel loved. After Splendy whoops LJ’s ass I mean.
-Her singing voice sounds like the shrieks a cat would make if it was shoved in a blender while getting strangled and that’s putting it mildly to be honest.
-She keeps an old scrapbook she had when she was alive hidden under her bed that’s filled with pictures of her and her parents. She misses them a lot and keeps waiting for the day they come back. They're dead but she doesn't know that.
-Her dad taught her how to make basic foods when she was alive. Sprinkles are guaranteed in everything she makes and that includes foods like spaghetti.
-When she’s depressed her wounds start bleeding and hurting again. Thankfully she’s hardly ever depressed. For somebody with the horrific past that she has, she’s a surprisingly cheerful child. That’s true for most of the child horrors but it’s especially notable with her since she easily has the most tragic past out of all the kids.
-Surprisingly she really loves old monster movies. It’s not uncommon to see her watching stuff like Taste the Blood of Dracula or Godzilla vs. Gigan in between marathons of Disney movies and Nickelodeon cartoons.
-Sally has only told 4 people about what Uncle Johnny did to her: Splendor Man, Clockwork, Sam and Lulu. Splendy because she trusts him so much, Sam because he's her cousin and Clocky & Lulu because they’ve unfortunately gone through similar experiences.

For anyone that’s new to this, this is how I keep track of all of the things I enjoy and/or create throughout the year. I have literally been doing this since I had a livejournal. I think the first one was 2011? Maybe? In which case, woohoo, ten years of scrapbooking!

She was exhausted and didn’t wake up till late, but she remembered how calm she felt on the tundra that night. It was an experience that she wouldn’t forget -- especially now holding a picture of Suicune as she ate her dinner. Even in the picture it was like the beast of water was staring into her soul. She didn’t know how to take it, really, but she put the picture in her scrapbook and had sent the rest of the photos through the family group chat as well as to the professor.
Now there was apparently a big signature in some deep caves nearby, but they wanted to analyze data first before sending anyone in... and that’s what led to Ashe now going to crawl back into bed and flip on a movie after putting everything away, Omen perched in a corner and Logan leaping up to take his place beside her in bed, his head laying up on her side as one of the Kaiju movies; Godzilla vs. Kong came on.
“I haven’t seen this one... Should be good to pass out too.” Just some time to chill would be nice, and hopefully she would get that today.

-Fender is a trans lesbian (at the end of the movie) and her proper name is Fendetta
-Both Lug and Diesel are very gay
-Piper and Bigweld are fucking pansexual baby
-Crank is asexual
-Diesel has autism
-Lug has anxiety
-Fender and Piper have ADHD (Fender also suffers from Narcolepsy)
-Crank has the big depression
-The Rusties love to collect things. Crank likes to collect Garfield merch and little vintage cars. Piper, fender, and diesel love to collect music. Diesel also likes to collect funny cowboy things and bottle caps. Lug collects anything related to Godzilla/Kaijus.
-Diesel has a keyboard and loves to make music. Diesel’s music is usually pretty upbeat. It’s got a The Bran Flakes vibe to it if you know that artist.
-Lug and Diesel fucking love Minecraft.
-Lug, Diesel, and Crank love collecting worms on a string.
-The Rusties have an unconditional love to McDonald’s, shredded cheese, Pringle’s, and Cheeze it’s.
-Wonderbot has a pet spork. Their name? Spork.

-Lug and Diesel share a room with eachother. This room in particular isn’t a rotating room like the other Rusties have, but it is instead a guest room that Aunt Fanny happened to have.
-Madame Gasket has fed Ratchet nothing but Kid Cuisine througout his entire childhood.
-Madame Gasket can and will eat babies.
-Lug can eat a baby, but he chooses not to because he’s not a fucking insane bitch like Madame gasket. However, lug likes to eat glass bottles, more specifically beer bottles.
-Wonderbot can eat endless amounts of raviolis.
-Crank and Diesel like to listen to Mr. Bungle together sometimes.
-Lug and Diesel enjoy doing things with Aunt Fanny. Diesel likes to do scrapbooking and gardening with Aunt Fanny, while Lug likes to knit and cook with Aunt Fanny.
-When they cannot fall asleep(which is pretty often), they like to dance to music at like 3 am. When it’s a special occasion, for example if it was one of their birthdays, they would play music they loved. Surprisingly, Aunt Fanny has never noticed this occurrence.
-Piper loves pop sockets. Since she doesn’t have a phone to put them on, she just puts them on her wall.
-The Rusties like to watch anime. Piper is the one who likes anime the most.
-Piper enjoys drawing, but isn’t very good at it.
-Diesel loves to draw, and he’s pretty good at it. He draws in a very cartoony artstyle.
-Sometimes Piper and Diesel draw together.
-Lug loves to cook. More specifically, he loves to cook pastries.
-Lug and Diesel are furries.
-The Rusties hate cringe culture. Lug and Diesel fucking hate cringe culture with a burning passion.
-Lug and Diesel love nature.
-Fender, Diesel, and Wonderbot love to make cursed food. Fender is often the unfortunate soul who eats the cursed food item.
-Fender likes to eat crazy ass shit. He’s the L.A Beast of the Robots universe.
-Lug and Diesel hate loud noises. They also hate parties, so they just party in Minecraft with their Minecraft dogs.
-Diesel is British. Or should I say Boltish? I’m sorry.

-Diesel can sing like Jack Stauber.
-Crank loves politics.
-Crank ironically loves Alex Jones. He can almost perfectly impersonate him.
