miniature process: suit of armor. first a coat of primer, then a black underlayer. paint the metal armor on top of that leaving black gaps between the plates. then a wash on top for shading + “battle grime”!

After months of saying I'd get around to it, finally sculpted Cordula's hearing aids. They are TEENSY and I still have more sanding to do after I bake them lol. Also made a cane that DEFINITELY will be sanded a bit for her so :)

#my first time sculpting a humanoid character since like... 2013 #the gold paint is from a gold posca paint pen #the tip wasn't fine enough so i had to make little dots of paint on palette paper and paint it onto him using a detail brush #but it looks so fucking good it was so worth it #gold paint is so satisfying; i wanna paint more stuff with gold accents sometime #my art #sculptures #he's super sculpey + super sculpey firm over a wire and tinfoil armature #his wand is a piece of a toothpick #painted with acrylic paint and varnished with duraclear ultra matte #with gloss glaze for the gold accents and eyes

Finally finally finally got a chance to fix up the eyebrow and eyelashes on an old painting and it looks so good now. I’m completely happy with it, it only needs a full coat of varnish. I’ve been meaning to do this for years and it’s finally done so I can submit it for a gallery show later this week!
