at some point i need to rewatch exu calamity because when it was airing was right after i got top surgery so i was mega high and didn't understand what was going on technically, only that it was crazy and rly good and brennan lee mulligan loves violence and killing

#guess what musical ive been relistening to .#but the musical is very hard to get plot beats out of cuz theres so many story gaps between the songs. hence why im here#even though this is the book's wiki page. and im pretty sure the musical and the book differ a lot. but still.#brot posts#music#back in middle school when i was in my musical phase (phantom/monte cristo/jekyll and hyde/etc)#and also just old literature in general phase (divine comedy/paradise lost/etc)#i really wanted to try to read the source material#but like. i was in 7th grade. i had no fucking idea what the hell was going on#i tried so hard to read paradise lost LMAOOOOO#like girlie pops you are 11 you havent even read shakespeare in class yet#so after i gave up on paradise lost i gave up on reading everything else as well.#although i do think i tried to do phantom at one point in middle school but also barely got through it#and then i tried it again in high school and only barely got a little furhter#though the high school time was just cuz i didnt have the patience#so yknow sitting here its very easy to say i would love to read the count of monte cristo instead of listen to the musical#but will i actually read it? probably not#god looking at the wikisoruce for it. its long as fuckkkkkkk man im not reading this LOL#ive read jekyll and hyde but thats because it was pretty short so the patience aspect wasnt a problem#so j&h is the only musical-based-on-1800s-literature that ive actually read the source material for. <3

Today was... well... something...
The BC show was great, no doubt about that. The guys were really having fun up there. Could I have done without the heat and getting my head pressed against the barricade so hard by a crowdsurfer that the back of my ear split open? Yeah, definitely. But does that mean that I didn't have fun? No.
I mean I would've had more fun for the rest of the day if I had still had the ability to crane my head and not suffer in the heat. But the BC show itself was just as great as always.
I saw some of my usual concert buddies again (bc fans of a feather or smth like that) and I had so much fun at the Attila and Sleep Token shows as well.
Wish I could've stayed for Gojira but I desperately need some rest, a glass of water and an Ibuprofen ASAP.
Currently I'm stuck at a random train station in the middle of nowhere and I'll probs be home at 4 (kill me).
I want to sleep soooo badly
#i spent 90% of the concert staring at Olli and noooo fucking regrets there#he's always my highlight of the show#overly dramatic actor core my beloved#aaaaaaalso#i literally walked from the festival back to the train station and the stars looked soooo beautiful 🥰#yeah i was practically jogging to catch my train but ✨️stars✨️#took me like an hour + getting lost#highkey horror movie vibes but we stay silly#walking down a completely dark street in the middle of the night with barely enough money on my prepaid card to call my mom just in case#wE sTaY SiLLy#also got a moment on camera for all you olli/allu girlies 😘#btw the text makes it sound like i only went to three shows#but i also saw born of osiris/ vended/ while she sleeps which were all great as well#vended wasn't really my kinda thing but the show was still fun to watch from afar tbh#bc/ attila/ sleep token were the bands i was actually looking forward to seeing today and boy did they deliver

i like to think apoptosis tries to lie to tenshi but tenshi cares too much & has figured her out pretty well & can see through most of it. i dont have much to support this beyond the fact theyre clearly heavily tied together across their songs.
#actually if im doing any analysis here#the timeline i think is like.#the group decides to go thru with the sacrifice to see if that would 'absolve their sins'#potentially targets apoptosis first as. she doesnt seem to get along with anyone#she doesnt want that obviously so she goes to pin it on someone else#someone else just happens to be tenshi who REALLY does not want the role#the whole lying about doing it for her & then tenshis dont leave me alone could be like.#tenshi gets the role & apoptosis just walks free not really thinking of the consequences#of course then its already getting too late to change anything & tenshi tries to convince herself shes doing the right thing#that her death will matter and maybe at least get them more time or something if not fix the problem#but no!!! it does nothing!!!! & apoptosis has to face that fact!!! that since it wasnt her it was someone she#(refuses to admit she) cares about!!!!!!!#& she cant stand that & suddenly shes in meltdown mode & will do whatever to destroy herself#i dont think its guilt shes dealing with like i genuinely think shes too selfish to feel guilty#kanons the guilty one not apoptosis#apoptosis feels more like. she lost something important & if she cant have it(her) then she doesnt want anything at all#unfortunately as per da rulez her being selfish means she continues to live.#permanent torture of knowing the one solid thing she had she got rid of and will never ever get back#the girlies#thats my current take on the situation#but in general i think those two are closer than either of them will admit
