no you know what? I can’t believe this and it definitely surprised me but if I could bring one show back from the dead (with the possibleee exception of odaat) it’d be diary of a future president. and I’ve had to sit through every show I follow or love be cancelled for the past three years so there are a LOT of them. this show just never failed to make me smile and felt like a warm warm hug and made me miss the childhood I didn’t have and it’s just so fucking special to me and @ginawylie you ruined me by introducing me to it only to have my heart broken yet again 😭 I’m still not over the doafp shaped hole in my heart and I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again doafp getting cancelled on my birthday will forever be my villain origin story

portwell headcanons, not in timeline order

• ej is the one who fell first, he doesn't know how and he doesn't know when he fell but he does know when he realized, someday he woke up and the first thing he did was get on his phone to text "good morning" to gina and that's when he knew it.

• most of their bonding and growing friendship happened because both of them spend a lot of time with ashlyn but now ashlyn spends a lot of time with big red so gina and ej hangs out together on friday nights watching movies while redlyn is on date nights

• they change each other's contact to "babe" ironically but later not so ironically

• gina is the one to make the first move because she's tired of waiting for him do to something and deep inside she knows he would never will because he's scared to ruin what they have.

• ashlyn is completely used to come home and see her cousin and her best friend/rommie doing something domestic like baking or knitting and wonder when they're gonna realize their feelings, and she's the first one to point out to ej

• nini is the first one to point out to gina that maybe their relationship is not so platonic

• gina is heartbroken when she's realize the reason that ej spends so much time on ashlyn house is because his parents at never at home and always working, so she invites him when he doesn't show up at random

• dennis and debbie are used to their nephew hanging out at the house but when gina moves in they wonder if a ej's room will be necessary

• both of them are obsessed with ice cream and always trying new flavors and buying tons of ice cream for movie night

• ej is obsessed with amazon and he is always buying random stuff at the site when he is bored

• gina has a collection of water bottles that he bought for her on amazon

i read the amazings headcanons that @ginawylie posted earlier so i decided to write the ones i have for a while

headcanons ; portwell

after reading headcanons from @sofiaa-rodriguez @bridgepenelope and @ginawylie i decided to come up with some of my own

gina finds out from ashlyn that when ej was a kid, his favourite movies were the barbie movies so she tracks down some old vhs tapes and surprises him with them when he's upset

ej has a list in his notes app of all of gina's favourite things as soon as she mentions that she likes something, he'll add to the list

he also has a list of all of her allergies (just in case)

gina can't stand water polo but she goes to every one of ej's games and cheers him on with ashlyn

gina and ashlyn came up with a chant to shout at his games but ej found out and threatened to out her secret love of country music

whenever gina goes out of town to visit family, ej doesn't let her leave until she promises to facetime him every day

they don't even realise they're dating until someone asks them how long they've been together and everyone else does a collective facepalm at their obliviousness

gina was the first person ej asked co-anchor with him, he just didn't want to seem too eager

gina has a wall of polaroids of her closest friends and family, ej cries when he sees one of just him and her

ej wrote her an entire album of songs when they first started dating but he doesn't show her any of them until her graduation

ej falls first

gina took ej to a cat cafe on their first official date and it was the best day of his life

sometimes they pretend to be single just so they can do the whole "babe?" thing from 2x07

for their anniversary, ej bought her a necklace with an 'e' and 'wonderstudy' engraved on it

ej gets overwhelmed and the only thing that will calm him down is gina tracing shapes on the back of his hand

they love holding hands, more than normal

ej begs gina for years to adopt a cat and she always says 'later' until she comes home one day and there's three kittens on her bed and ej with a guilty look on his face, cuddling them

Wedding styles for the The Holy Trinity of Ships

So I got inspired by this post by @ginawylie about weddings for the couples of HSMTMTS.

I am also a bit of an inspiring fashion designer and have actually done designs for Luna, Ambar and Nina's dresses

Luna / Lutteo

Ignore the black dots in the first dress. They are the best way I found to draw glitter

Luna is a special case since there is no way she'd stay put in white. That is why I designed her two dresses. I headcanon Lutteo getting married in the summer and particularly in 2025 so approximately six years after S3. It would definitely be an outdoor wedding outside of the Benson Mansion and quite a lively affair. We don't need to talk about the maid of honor or the best man, we all know who they are. Gastina will have to endure the job of working as referees in the chaos that will be the wedding planning with Lutteo. The colors would be a mixture of purple and silver with a hint of gold and maybe green

The first one is for the ceremony. It has a wide V-neck with sheer puffy sleeves and a classic ballgown siluet. The silvery details are an homage to the moon side of her. The dress has details with clear crystals and holo clitter so we won't be totally colorless. I would style it with a silvery embroidered veil and amethyst jewelry to give a pop of color. The bouquet features purple flowers in addition to Lilys. The bouquet is quite similar to the one Matteo brought to Luna when he came to meet her parents in S2

The second dress is for the reception since Luna won't stay put in white no matter how much Holo there really is. The dress is quite youthful since they do get married quite young. I took inspiration from the manicure that Luna has on the show with yellow and a purple accent nail. The dress is white and it has purple crystals embroidered on the hem and the bodest. It has one strap and the sweetheart neckline is lined with a gold ribbon. As the other dress was inspired by the moon, this is by the sun. The other strap is replaced with two loose ribbons which will be wrapped around the arm. I styled this with some green jewelry to compliment Luna's green eyes featuring green earrings and hairpins with a half up half down look and green sandals.

Ambar / Simbar

In the vast world of my headcanons, Simbar are the first one to get married. They have a late spring wedding in 2024 so five years after S3. I might be stealing this from some fanfic I have read, but I see them having a fancy and elegant but still a beach wedding in Cancun with the sunset everything. The hardest thing to think about for their wedding would be the maid of honor and the best man, but I think Luna would get the honor with Defi and Jazmin being the bride's maids and the best man could be maybe Pedro or Nico could join him. The colors of the wedding would definitely be gold and pearls and pearlescent with some additional bronze. I was about to add rose gold, but Ambar doesn't like it.

I see Ambar going for the mermaid siluet. A bit more sexy style seems like her. It is also not fully white with a lot of gold detailing and pearls. The dress has a deep V with pearls and a golden slip and crisscrossing gold spaghetti straps. The skirt has pearls where the fishtail starts and it is tulle with a golden gradient in the hem. I styled it with gold bangles, pearl earrings, and a headband that would connect to the veil. The bouquet would be white roses since those have special meaning for Simbar with some gold and bronze leaves.

Nina / Gastina

This sketch sucks, but I didn't find a better way to draw lace. And it won't be grey, you just can't draw white over white

Since both Lutteo and Simbar have their weddings in the spring and summer, I imagine that Gastina gets married in the winter following their move back to Buenos Aires from Oxford. I might have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with the red rose motif with Gastina. I just love the fact that they are a couple of the Red Rose, the rose of the most passionate love. I have a post about all the couples and their rose colors. So the red and the red rose will be a prominent theme in the wedding instead of more stereotypical blue and colder colors for a winter wedding. It would be a cozy intimate wedding with red, silver, ivory being the prominent colors with an addition of some dark wood. Lutteo would definitely be the maid of honor and the best man.

For the dress, I combined the styles of the Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Eugenie's wedding dresses. the dress has an A-line siluet and off-the-shoulder neckline with lace sleeves and lace that comes up to the shoulders. There is some lacing below the hips and lace ribbons that cross at the waist. Styling will follow the wedding colors, with ruby earrings and a pendant. I decided to not have a veil, and instead have hair styled to an updo with red roses. The bouquet would be a mixture o red and white roses, so the red will not overpower everything.
