Probably the best and worst aspect about Marcille's character design is that she does her hair differently every day so you dont have to remember the specific details of which part goes where when it comes to her braids and stuff.

But at the same time, coming up with new hairstyles for her is tense and nerve-wracking because what if you fumble it so hard that it doesnt even look like something she would do with her hair

I was watching a Three Houses LP today and the player said something that got me thinking. It was said in the context of the player having just watched one of the Caspar + Shamir supports where Caspar does a lot of thinking about the guilt he feels over his father's wrongs:

"Caspar sure thinks a lot for someone who's just the kind of guy to solve problems with his fists"

and it was...... kinda sad? Because the player didn't seem to want to go beyond this or even stopped to think what it meant. I didn't notice a significant change in how they talked about Caspar's level of intelligence throughout the game.

And its like..... being so convinced and certain that this character must fit this preconceived idea you have of them that you dismiss any and all growth/development as a fluke and it flies under your radar.

I think this idea is so prevalent in a lot of fandom circles regarding certain characters (not just Caspar) where they get boiled down to a single trait that is usually not even close to being representative of their character, and this idea is all that most people see whenever they perceive the character which in turn makes them ignore or dismiss the many, many examples of the character being deeper and more interesting than they think.

I dunno, maybe it's because I care about Caspar a lot, but I highly recommend watching his supports and scenes where he is in if you haven't in a while. Hell, do this for other characters you feel never clicked with you. You might be surprised to notice or discover aspects of them you had never seen before

Caspar now has to answer for an extremely traumatized teenage prisoner of war as tensions and resentment escalate around camp. The Faerghus Four are really conflicted about the whole thing but mostly stay out of it. Mostly. Others are not so charitable

But Caspar sees the good in everyone and is determined to not give up on Fleche... He knows he could never replace Randolph. He knows Fleche hates him and thinks he's a traitor. His own side of the family was never close to Randolph's due to the inheritance feud, but none of that matters now. He is tired of fighting family and friends and if there's anything he can do for her then you bet he is going to try to save this one person

I don't think Caspar von Fire Emblem is a furry but I do think he has imagined himself as a hot neon blue wolf man before and asked Linhardt to draw it too
