Pride month is over but Pride is not!
I’m so happy I managed to make quite a few pride bracelets and I want to thank each and every one of you for your support!

Guys, tomorrow is the day!
I'm traveling to Canada to explore Vancouver Island a bit before Gatecon. I'm overly excited and also kinda scared. It's a huge step for me to do this lil adventure on my own.
And in just a week I'm going to meet Amanda. Still sounds like a dream to me. 😍 God, just thinking of it makes smile.

My first Gatecon was super fun! Took some photos, listened to some panels, learned some stuff. They had to retake the photo with Paul because he asked me a question during the first take, which is why we were laughing. Everyone was so nice and super funny.
And I won a production script at auction! I'm gonna watch the ep and compare it to what ended up happening.
Most of the panel photos I took were kinda far and a little blurry, but the set was super cool. The chevrons lit up and everything!
I was bummed that Martin had to cancel, but Peter Deluise was there, and I guess he doesn't usually.
They did a one-time reading of an original script, and that group was a shit show. It was awesome 😂
The live auction was hilarious. All of the guests who wanted to participate were given mics and it was chaos. Pictured, Apophis wearing the outfit from Brief Candle, Jay Brazeau with a zat, and generally absolute chaos.
Bill Nikolai said that he got the RDA stand-in gig because he has the same "neanderthal eyes." Apparently RDA's eyes are remarkably difficult to light, and he used to have lights dedicated to just his eyes.
Dan Payne describing the supersoldier surviving the missile scene in Death Knell and Andee Frizzell describing the Wraith queen scene popping up from the water in Submersion were amazing. Oddly similar despite one being from dirt and one from water. Both auditions started with 'how long can you hold your breath?' 😭

“It’ll be easy.” Said the girl who will spend the next two months embroidering on the train. Oy. In a way, I guess I’m glad they chose not to use all of the embroidery that was on the original fashion plate. I only wish there was a picture of the back of the dress somewhere. I couldn’t find any among the screencaps or episode. I’ll just have to guess.
On the plus side, getting to work with my #1 favorite fabric of all time...VELVET! On the minus side, having to buy 8 yards of it. >_<
Should be interesting. Ultimate goal = GateCon 2018: The Invasion (even though it’s not Stargate it still counts, cause...yeah.)
