Hey! Sorry if you've already answered this, but which comics/books do you think are important for the next game? (The way Masked Empire and Asunder where for DAI)

hello, & no worries! with not much currently known about the next game, it's hard to say, but I have a lil guide post to the 'post-Inquisition' secondary canon materials (books, comics, & short stories) here that you may find helpful? there's also a post with a rough chronological/timeline order of all canon DA materials here.

at a guess I'd suggest going in having read the book Tevinter Nights and the various online/free short stories linked in that first post. that leaves the post-Inquisition comics to decide on. there's sort of an overarching post-Inquisition story arc that basically functionally begins in Dragon Age: Magekiller and concludes in a scene of interest (trying not to detail it in case you would rather not be spoiled) at the end of Dragon Age: Dark Fortress. I rly enjoyed the comics and found them fun and interesting, worthwhile on their own merits, and I would like to see more (🤞). they tell us a bit about recent canonical world-events in the world of Thedas (like geopolitical things), and there is a wee tie-in to a DA:D [?] plot device. I recommend them if you're looking for new/more Dragon Age content in a general sense. they're their own contained series of adventures ft. some appearances of some of our favs and their own neat cast of characters though, and most likely not Required Reading™ for DA:D. hope I understood your question correctly and that this helps a bit :)
