Raise De Wa Chanto Shimasu 2 (Review)
The first season was my start in 2021 and this is how I start 2022.
Tumblr media
The plot follows the same 5 group of people, their relationships and their sex lives.
This review will contain spoilers, so if you don’t want things spoiled for your please watch before coming back.
I will just say that I enjoyed the drama, maybe a bit less than the first season but it was still fun to watch.
I have also written a spoiler free review for the first season if you’re interested in that: Raise De Wa Chanto Shimasu
Let’s start with our beautiful Momoe who has different sex friends. I really enjoyed her this season, especially her growth and understanding what she really wants after she spent some time with E-kun.
Her still liking A-kun was a bit upsetting to watch, I got even angrier when I understood how shitty he actually is.
However, I really loved to see Momoe with Matsuda, both sluts getting together to be in a relationship was interesting. As I said I love them but everything happened too quickly.
I wished we have seen more of Matsuda, (yes he had that episode where he was kidnapped by one of the girls he was sleeping with) but other than that I’m not sure how he feels.
His confession and suddenly turning into a one woman guy was something I did not expect and it seemed to forced and fake.
The ending was nice, both of them acknowledging that they still like other people too but they will try to somehow be together and that fits them.
It’s a short drama, so I want to be understanding but I wanted to see more how he developed.
I don’t have to say a lot about other characters, still hated how Hayashi wants virgins and he always made me a little bit sick.
His talking about pure woman and stuff like that just a big red flag, funnily he never ends up liking one.
Hiyama Toru stayed completely the same just maybe started to think a bit more about if what he has with the girl is true.
While I had fun watching Takasugi Ume, she also did not do a lot of things this season, just happy that she could finally make her bl manga.
Overall, as much as I enjoyed this season there were some problematic aspects to it, for example, there was mentioned that Kuriyama Nagi was underage... Was the translation wrong, did I read it wrong?? What???
As I mentioned, I wished they had more time or more episodes to tell about some of the characters growth and why they came to the decisions they did.
It almost felt like we were at the very beginning again and going through all of it AGAIN just with less episodes.
8/10

To Have A Villain’s Quirk
TWENTY: FACE REALITY
Tumblr media
Song: Glassy Sky - AmaLee
"Alright, everybody! Last match of the semi-finals is about to be underway! Give it up for the rising heroes of class 1-A, Bakugo versus Hiyama!" After the little snack she had, she was raring to go. It was true that the fresher the meat, the more power basically. But it also meant that she wouldn't need to feed for a while, depending on how this match went. Kaida brushed her hair back as she walked into the stadium, catching her Midoriya with the rest of her classmates. He gave her a thumbs up, making her smile. She walked onto the raised platform, facing the boy she had been training with for weeks. Those two would know each other's moves better than anyone.
"Ready!" Midnight yelled, raising her whip. She saw the grin on the boys face as she crouched down, preparing herself for launch. "Begin!"
Kaida let him close in on her, one tail taking the brunt of his explosions while she defended herself. The tails she had in the last matches varied, but after consuming the fresh meat she had been offered, the number of tails seemed to multiply with her eyes glowing brighter. She was up to eight tails thanks to Midoriya helping her boost her power. The look on Bakugo's face was obvious, he was just as surprised as the rest of their classmates. He didn't pause as he kept giving explosion after explosion. "Bakugo's vicious rushes are almost unstoppable!"
"Since when can you use eight tails?" He shouted, sending a harder blast at her. She blocked, latching two of the tails into the ground as best as she could to keep her from going too far back.
"Thank Izuku." Was all she said, a smirk forming on her lips as he faltered, hearing those words. It didn't take him long to understand, coming to a stop with eyes wide as he looked up into the stands before back at the girl, catching a hint of red tinting the corner of her lips. He almost cackled as he took off towards her.
"So, you've hit that level of desperate, huh?" He called out, her sending a few tails to try to grab him. Try was the key word. There was a part of her that knew she would miss, but she was always one to come up with a back up plan.
"Not desperate. You know my style, you know what I would and wouldn't do. After all, it's like Mr. Aizawa said." She ducked under his hand to uppercut before he could react, shaking her hand a bit as he was sent back, recovering in the air. "No good hero is a one-trick pony."
"Hiyama must really look up to you to quote you, Eraser!" Mic's voice sounded like he was surprised if not almost laughing. She only heard a grunt after him. But up in the booth, he had a hidden smirk on his face. She had come such a long way, just like everyone else. he knew her quirk, and how some of the teachers were worried, but she proved that she would never feed on a living being unless it was absolutely necessary. While the fight went on, he found Midoriya with the rest of his class, looking for where she could've fed on him before seeing there was a bandage just under his sleeve, where it shouldn't have been up that far. He only caught it because he had put his hand over it when she had said to thank him. She must've ran out of food.
While her tails were used to defend against his explosions, it gave her a chance to try to get closer to him, fighting hand-to-hand like they were practicing. But this wasn't practice, and they were using their quirks. Her fighting became more animated. While he stuck to using his quirk, she showed off what she had been learning, the fighting filled with flips, kicks, something that almost looked like she was dancing. She nearly celebrated when she finally got a tail wrapped around his wrist, but held her composure as she slung him towards her. She didn't fail to notice how he raised his other hand to blast her. But she was the one in control. Using the strength in the appendage to quickly twist him around, she sent out another tail to wrap around his ankle. It was enough to avoid a blast to her face, but it caught one of the tails. Down to seven tails. She's doing better than she thought she would.
"Dammit!" Bakugo growled, coughing out as he was slammed into the ground. The maroonette dropped to the ground, drawing the tails back around her as she readied her stance. She knew he wasn't done yet, but neither was she. As if on cue, he blasted from the ground with a battle cry, heading straight for her. She launched herself towards him, into the blast he was sending her way. There were multiple gasps but she came through the blast with hardly a scratch, the tips of her uniform a bit burned. As soon as she landed on the other side of the blast, her tails were back, circling around either side of him.
"Wow! It looks like Hiyama turned off her quirk in the middle of the blast, even though it left her vulnerable! Why would she do that?"
"When one of her tails is injured, they disappear, and she can't regrow that one back until she's been completely healed. We saw that a little bit ago with Bakugo's blasts. She had eight, she's now down to seven. She's reserving all that she can."
Bakugo didn't want to admit it, but he panicked a little. They had only tried with hand-to-hand, not with their quirks. So, he never actually paid too much attention to what she could do with it in a fight. He fired himself up, sending a large blast around the entire area, just like in his fight with Uraraka. The force was enough to distract her, letting her guard down to deactivate her quirk. He smirked, blasting towards her and grabbing her face. There were startled yells from all around the stadium as he blasted her straight in the face and into the ground. Dust and debris was kicked up as she was nearly buried into the concrete. The dust cleared quickly to reveal Bakugo breathing heavily, standing away from the skid marks across the platform. People had their mouths covered as they looked onto the scene, Midnight about to call the match.
Three tails erupted from the small crater, digging into the ground next to it as she raised herself into the air. Her hair waving wildly in the wind as the two remaining tails shot towards her opponent.
"Whoa, what's this! Hiyama's still going!"
Bakugo blasted out of the way as she jolted around him, using the tails to propel her through the air, feinting wrapping them around him, knowing he would come towards her to dodge them. She interlocked the tails behind him, deliberately bringing him into her. She smirked as the look of realization fell onto his features, hand mid blast as the tails wrapped around their bodies, but leaving the ash blond's head exposed. She used her last tail as a launch pad, sending them into the air as he struggled to get free, setting off the blasts inside the safe area of the tail barrier. She tilted them towards the ground, spinning them as fast as she could until they smashed into the ground.
The debris and dust was sent up once again as Present Mic hollered about her move. It took a good minute for it to clear, everyone chattering as they looked for movement. When it did, Cementoss and Midnight were trying to find them under the debris. Suddenly, the rubble moved, blond hair appearing under the dust. Katsuki just barely pulled himself to his feet, covered in cuts, bruises, and dirt. Midnight threw up her whip.
"Hiyama is unconscious! Bakugo is the winner!" The cheering began for him, except from Class 1-A. They watched as Cementoss pulled the battered girl from the rubble, setting her upon the robotic gurney. The explosion quirk user watched the girl get wheeled away before walking away, head down.
*
"I've never seen her fight like that before.."
"I don't think I've actually seen her fight."
"Did you see how she was moving?"
The students from her class voiced in as they wheeled her away, Midoriya quickly standing and catching everyone else's attention. "Midoriya?" He didn't say anything before he sprinted from the area, the others frowning to each other.
*
Izuku walked down the hallway to the make shift recovery room, peeking his head in to see Recovery Girl hovering near the ghoul. He cleared his throat, the lady turning around with a smile. "Oh, hello again, here to see your friend?" He nodded, walking closer.
"Yes, ma'am."
"Okay, well, I'm about finished up here so feel free to take a seat." He nodded again, sitting beside the unconscious girl, frowning as he looked at her. She was covered in dirt and dust, hair down in knots with cuts covering her arms and face. And probably the rest of her body, too. But he watched closely, seeing the cuts slowly healing themselves. It was fascinating to watch. Recovery Girl eventually left, knowing she was in good hands, so she could go check on her other patients.
He sat there for a few minutes, silent as he looked her over. He didn't see her with her hair down often but it was a nice change, he didn't know why she didn't do it more. He could only imagine that it got in the way.
"What the fuck are you doing here, Deku?" Midoriya jumped, eyes wide as he made contact with the red eyed boy.
"K-kacchan! What are you doing here?!" He stumbled to stand, watching as he slowly walked closer, hands shoved in his pockets.
"What does it look like I'm doing, idiot?" He stopped just before the bed, looking down at her face. "What did the old lady say?" Midoriya blinked in surprise before slowly sitting back down.
"You did a lot of damage, but nothing her quirk can't regenerate herself."
"I guess it helps she ate fresh meat." Izuku's eyes snapped back up to see Katsuki glaring right through him. "Why did you let her do that?"
"I.." They both turned to look at the door, hearing a noise outside of it but not seeing anything. Bakugo snorted, staring at the corners before looking back to the other. He raised a brow for him to continue. The boy sighed, looking to Kaida. "She ran out of food, and was low on strength. She didn't want to.. I could tell she was really afraid. Almost like eating fresh flesh would make her inhuman."
"She isn't human. Her quirk is what she is, no matter what she wants to think. But it's apart of her. It's who she is, so I don't know why she wants to be human so bad." Bakugo pulled one of the extra chairs, sitting down in it as he crossed his arms.
"I think I know why.. did she ever tell you about her childhood?" The other shook his head, so he went to open his mouth to say something, only to be cut off.
"It's not your story to tell, Izu.." A voice coughed out, raspy from the amount of dust she had inhaled. The boys jumped up, leaning over her as her eyes slowly focused on the two above her.
"Kai!"
"You idiot! What the hell were you thinking, pulling that stunt! I could've killed you!" She laughed dryly, carefully pulling herself to sit up.
"It'll take a lot more than that to kill me.." She tilted her head to Bakugo, smiling a little. "Congrats, you deserve it.." Their looks softened a little, noticing how forced her smile was. "You have to win now, though. Got it?"
"Uh, yeah. Of course, I'm gonna win." He defended, crossing his arms again. She only nodded and looked up at the ceiling. "Hey! Don't talk like you're fuckin dying either. You're fine. There's no way I messed you up too badly."
"Hah, no. You didn't. Do you mind leaving me alone for a bit? I'll be there for the awards ceremony. I just wanna lay here for a bit longer. I'm pretty sore." She didn't meet their eyes as she glanced away. They exchanged looks before Midoriya nodded.
"Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and go. I'll see you soon." He looked at her a little longer before sighing, walking out of the room. Katsuki was left standing there, staring at the girl.
"You did that last move on purpose, didn't you?" There was no response. "Tsk! Answer me, damnit! Why did you do that, knowing that you would knock yourself out? Red!"
"You know you can call me Kaida.. we've been friends for a while and I call you Katsu anyways. I think we've been through enough for you to drop that stupid nickname." The sound of her voice was harsh but soft, causing the blond to grit his teeth.
"It's not like I asked you to call me that."
"But you never stopped me. Not really." He rose from his seat, sighing as he looked away.
"Just get healed up, idiot." He shoved his hands into his pockets, turning and stopping at the door. "See ya at the ceremony.. Hiyama." Then he was gone. She wanted to laugh. The last name was a start. Once the door was shut, she ran her fingers through her hair, making her way through the knots. She clenched her teeth as the forced smile faded into a grimace, eyes cast down. How could she try to be happy today? After everything? She couldn't.
There was a tv in that room as well, turned to the tournament as they announced Katsuki and Todoroki facing each other. Kaida clenched the blanket in her hands as she watched. She was afraid of what would they do to each other, them being the most powerful students in the class. She kept her eyes on the screen as Recovery Girl came back into the room to check on her, the match beginning. "Your injuries seem to be healing up nicely, how's your knee doing?" Kaida's eyes snapped over to the lady's, confused.
"M..my knee?" She nodded, removing the blanket to show her left leg, from the bottom of her thigh to the top of her calf, wrapped in bandages with a brace. "Oh.. I.. I didn't even know."
"Mhm. That fall you took buried you under the rubble so bad that the pressure of Bakugo leaning on you ruptured the area. How he got out unscathed, I will probably never know. But. I was informed by your teacher that you ran out of food, so healing that is going to take a little longer. I'd say, eat something when you get home to speed up the process. I'll give you some crutches, then you can go join your classmates and watch the rest of the match." Kaida nodded as the hero did her thing, the girl turning her head back to the screen.
She was soon sent out of the room, her carefully making her way down the halls of the stadium. She did pass a few people who stopped and pointed, chattering amongst themselves, she simply ignored them. It didn't take her too long to get to the 1-A seating area, stepping in as the match was beginning to wrap up. Her eyes widened as it got worse, slowly coming down the stairs while ignoring the calls of her classmates. She stopped in front of the wall that blocked the area from getting hit with anything below, watching as Todoroki practically gave up, which sent her fiery friend into fury. The match was called, much to Bakugo's dismay.
The ceremony was announced to be in just thirty minutes, to give the top three time to rest up. She went to turn, only to find floating clothes next to her, causing her to shriek in fright, and startled her other classmates. "H-Hagakure?" The girl in question gasped as she screamed, waving her hands frantically even though no one else could see it.
"Oh, Kai, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you! I thought you heard me!" The other shook her head, trying to get her heart to slow down. "I'm sorry! Are.. are you okay? You seemed pretty worried, and you weren't answering us." Kaminari and Ashido joined the girls, frowning a little.
"Y-yeah, I'm okay. Just. A lot on my mind." They nodded before Denki put a smile on his face, trying to lighten the mood.
"But, hey! Uh, you came in third! That's awesome!" They realized what he was trying to do and immediately joined in, attempting to make her smile. It only helped a little.
"Hiyama! Shouldn't you be getting healed by Recovery Girl? Why the hell are you wearing a brace?" Bakugo stood at the top of the stairs, looking down at them.
"Ah, Katsu, congratulations on winning-"
"Don't avoid the question, idiot!" She scoffed, adjusting herself on the crutches to face him.
"You're the idiot! You're the one who ruptured my knee!" He jolted down the stairs, stopping in front of her.
"Me?! I wasn't the one who fuckin kamikazed into the ground!"
"You landed on top of me!"
"Kai, Kacchan.." Izuku started, trying to get between the two to no avail.
"Who's fault is that, ankle biter?!"
"Bitch, I will eat you!"
"..Did she just say she would eat him?" The class seemed a little- scratch that, extremely confused.
"I fuckin dare you! Have fun explaining that to the cops! You committed cannibalism!"
"It's a normal thing in this society!"
"It's really not!"
"Guys!" Kirishima called out between them, dropping a hand onto the blonds shoulder. The two stopped their arguing to look at the group staring at them.
"What are you looking at?" Bakugo snapped, while Kaida looked between everyone. This was what she needed, to distract herself. Small giggles started to build in her chest, attracting everyone's attention. She was given confused looks as the laughter gained, using her crutches as support, her just laughing away. Her laughter couldn't stop a few of the others from smiling either. She wiped at her eyes as a few of the girls laughed along with her, her laughter slowly dying down as she looked at Katsuki.
"Th-thank you, Katsu.. I needed that."
"Aww, Kai!" Mina squealed, gently squeezing her friend in a hug. Hagakure and Jirou both joined in the hug, smiling.
"Tsk.. whatever." He looked away from the group, Kaida slowly pulling away from the girls to raise her arms to the boy in front of her. "What the fuck are you doing?"
"Come here." His eyes widened, him taking a step back.
"Fuck no! I don't do hugs."
"Katsu! Come on, at least help me back up the stairs."
"Do it yourself!"
"Izu," She turned to the green haired boy beside her. "Will you help-"
"Oh, hell no. Dammit, come on! Give me the crutches." While he was grumbling, taking the crutches from the girl, Kaida turned her head to look at her friends with a big grin. They sweat dropped. She knew exactly how to play the explosive boy.
They watched him wrap his arm around her waist, the crutches in his other hand. She wrapped one arm around his shoulder, her other hand resting on his chest. She was advised not to use her quirk for a while, so it wouldn't steal too much of her energy to heal, or else she would have used the tails to walk.
The group watched them walk away, more confused than ever but finding it almost adorable. They had never seen Bakugo care so much for someone like he did for Kaida, not that he would ever admit it. They all went back to their seats, waiting for the ceremony to begin.
Bakugo helped the maroonette to a good point where she could do it on her own, walking with her to the stage they would be on. They found Todoroki was already there. She stayed out of their way as she was led to the third place podium, listening to Bakugo rant about Todoroki not going all out. Mentioning how even she didn't hold back. Eventually she just turned everything out, from him ranting, to All Might giving her the medal, even to when she was back in the waiting rooms with the rest of her friends. She was quiet as the rest of them chatter away, distracted by the festival. Kaida pulled Izuku aside, away from everyone.
"Kai? What's wrong?" He saw the look on her face, lowering his voice. "Ready to go?" She nodded and he glanced at everyone behind them before walking out with her. Earlier, she had asked him to walk her home, not wanting to risk doing that alone while she was vulnerable.
It was time to face reality.
