Thank you, friend! I’m glad you enjoy my work! I do plan on continuing to poke at the project, and I have larger plans for it. But ATM i’m very inspired to work on a long-term personal project so NWM is tsudo on hold.

BotW / Walking Dead crossover ideas

Last game was Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and last show was AMC's The Walking Dead, of course.

... Honestly? Kinda works. Dark and moody is alright, but I like BotW's more colorful, hopeful apocalypse. Could be a fantastic zombie setting!

Rick is the King, while Carl is Link and Judith is Zelda; memories are focused on them building a better sibling relationship and Judith gradually learning to protect herself, rather than relying on her brother, until by the Calamity, she's now much stronger than him, to the point of flipping roles entirely.

The horse lives - or, at least, has stayed with the King as a spirit. Carl learned to soothe horses with Rick's as practice, but has gotten a little rusty over time... And reincarnation.

Ganon is just... A guy. He was born into the apocalypse, and was raised in the ruins of a lab compound by doctors searching for a cure. He gave up on it quickly, and once he gained a bit of social power, flipped the focus to controlling the Dead rather than "fixing" them. For the past sixty years, he and his team have been working on a solution, not for curing zombies, but for making them into tools and weapons to build their new society on.

They've converted the Divine Beasts to massive, armored Walker-catching machines. The Blood Moon is replaced by a night when outposts send up flares and pilots drop off a few extra Zed to replenish their defenses, using the Beasts for safe transport. Maybe it's called a "Night of Rising Stars" or something equally almost-poetic Ganon could come up with?

He's... Not that bad, really, until you get to his brutal style of dealing with outsiders. Think, the naïve idealism of early Alexandria, the tech of that CDC guy in season 1, and juuuust a little bit of the Terminus crew or, WAY more blatantly, Woodbury. Oddly, he's not as cruel on a social level, but his tactics are... Gruesome. Notably, he doesn't always consider human life as valuable as Walker resources, and is known to unleash herds on settlements that have miffed him or abandon outposts to the hordes if they've become a resource sink.

Bokoblins are replaced with very old, very weak zombies, which are significantly less scary because of someone early in the last century stopping by to remove all of their jaws. Green Bokoblins represent the new ones that are a little more intact, and still have their teeth.

Michonne, Daryl, Morgan, and Carol become the new Champions, as reps for the Zora, Rito, Goron, and Gerudo respectively. There's probably a better combo set, but I'm too lazy to figure it out lol (also I'd love to see how Aikido translates to Goron tactics)
