I had to go to the ER earlier in the week for what I thought were bad hives. Turns out it's folliculitis - the inflammation and infection of hair follicles. I was given two creams to put on it, and an antibiotic I have to pick up today.
The doctor told me it's stress induced. I need to destress.
Before I could say anything, she said, "I know, easier said than done."
I can't destress when the stressors won't go away.
I was told I need to go for walks, get plenty of sleep, meditate, ect.
If anyone has any other ways to destress while the stressors are still heavy on my shoulders, please let me know.
This shit itches so much it's affecting my sleep even more. That and the itching are increasing my stress. I just want this gone.

‘net zero information’ of the day: was wondering why i have so many hairs that are actually two hairs in the same follicle and apparently it’s ‘pili multigemini’ which is a ‘rare developmental disorder’ except the one paper i’ve found that actually looked for it (rather than discovering it incidentally) found that every single participant had it to some degree, yet every website talking about it still says it’s rare. a bunch of them also recommend their skincare products for preventing it so wow shocking

Good news!
I finally got a full 7 hours of sleep for the first time in two weeks!
Of course, it ended with a nightmare of me flying the Millennium Falcon (my dream, honestly), dating Han Solo, escaping the giant asteroid space worm that ate the Falcon - again (the insides of that thing are really squishy and nasty), and showed up to a party at an outdoor thrift market to find the cast of Star Trek: Voyager starting a fight with some of the characters from Star Wars.
I got caught in the middle of it all trying to escape, and in the process, got shot through the heart by an arrow. But I felt fine - ya know, as you do with an arrow sticking out of the left side your chest (just a Tuesday).
The paramedics showed up to tend to everyone shot - I don't even know who did it! It just came out of nowhere! - and I tried to tell them I was fine.
Clearly...
Clearly I wasn't fine. Because, ya know...
ARROW.
It had knicked my stomach, so there were juices where juices should not be.
The nightmare part kicks in after hearing that.
I was strapped down to a bed with my ankles and arms restrained, had an IV put into my left arm, which hurt like a mother fucker so much that I broke the strap on my left foot and tried to kick the nurse doing it.
I hate needles. They hurt. A lot. I have a very low pain threshold. I even screamed at them to stop, because no one ever believed me about my pain level, which always made going to the dentist a trip to a medieval torture chamber.
Something in it paralyzed me, but I was still aware of what they were doing. I could feel everything.
I was screaming in my head that I was still awake, but my mouth wouldn't move.
I felt a cold substance on my chest, heard someone say to relax and that I'll be ok, and then the press of an icy knife that quickly turned to searing pain....
And then I woke up gasping for air.
...
BUT I GOT A FULL 7 HOURS OF SLEEP, YA'LL.
The only mark on my chest was the fabric mark from the blanket I'd cocooned myself in.
I'll take my W.
You'd better believe I'm putting this nightmare into this fic I'm writing.
Or maybe I had this nightmare because of the fic I'm writing, since Will experiences a few nasty ones.
