Maybe ppl have already talked abt this and I’m just late to the party but 3am or the hr right after midnight is known as the witching hr or devil’s hr in folklore….I wonder if this is why she chose to call it Midnights 3am edition and not 2am which would make sense considering she mentions 2am a lot in her music. This connects back to willow (and willow connects to ivy) and to mad woman. Also in the alcott she mentions a curse on her house and in ivy a magnificent curse. So this means the events in ivy and willow and all the conjuring and spell casting actually come after midnight when Cinderella’s facade disappears?? I think it’s interesting that she keeps really emphasizing the number 3. I don’t remember her going this crazy w the fearless and red tv easter eggs like she is w speak now. Maybe it’s bc 3 is related to 3am, the witching hr. And maybe that hr is coming fairly soon

folklore | taylor swift ❀ [July 24, 2020] A tale that becomes folklore is one that is passed down and whispered around. Sometimes even sung about. The lines between fantasy and reality blur and the boundaries between truth and fiction become almost indiscernible. Speculation, over time, becomes fact. Myths, ghost stories, and fables. In the first part of the video we can see Taylor being represented as the symbol of the balance and therefore the symbol of justice. This symbol in antiquity was associated with a Goddess in which the Greeks and Romans believed. The current symbol of justice would be the blindfolded woman with scales and sword but these elements were added only later because in the times of ancient Rome (connection with the pedestal and Roman numerals in the video) the Goddess of Justice was not blindfolded and he had no sword, only the scales. Another connection With Justice, the Gods and Romans? COMPLETELY GOLD. Justice, tired of the misdeeds of mortale men, among whom She Loved in the Golden Age, she Moved to Heaven becoming the constellation Virgo . The blindfold and the sword were added later as elements of impartiality in decisions, in other words following the right path. Another connection that makes me think that my theory is correct is the fact that in the video there are references to the Egyptians and the Egyptians themselves carried out the weighing of the heart and the weighing of the soul through a scale to allow the deceased to access the 'beyond. The fact that Taylor holds the right side of the scale higher in the video is another way of saying that she is no longer impartial. Since the left hand is the least vengeful, slowest and most reflective, the right could in this case represent revenge, the KARMA that arrives, that reaches you. This is my theory, hello.
