I finally got around to designing myself a trollsona and with it what I think folk trolls would look like
The dilemma of trying to choose a genre or two almost killed me like… folk rock or chick punk… i went with folk bc i had a better idea of it in my head and I’ve been a folk/folk rock fan since I was in diapers lol

Oh, shit!
I just saw a Folk Troll OC pic and they're similar to one of the ideas I have for my take on Folk Trolls!
My ideas for them are:
Folk Trolls is that they resemble Satyrs/Fauns and Centaurs (for my concept, they're descended from Country Trolls).
Inspired by fantasy, bards, and the Speakers from Castlevania.
They're a nomadic tribe.
They're compassionate and all about helping those in need.
My concept is a work-in-progress.
If you're the creator of the concept of folk trolls for that particular OC, I'm sorry! Please don't flay me! 😫

Hilda Appreciation Week Day Seven: Free Day or Favorite AU(s)
For me, it's my (and hold it down) 'verse, of course!! This AU started with my wondering what Hilda would be like if she retained the ability to turn into a troll, then it spawned a fic, then a series, and now a whole 'verse I love to play around in. I'm still planning to work on it because I still love it so so much, but internship be wild and I'm so tired (and stressed) these days so that's probably not going to happen for a while :(
I decided to include my teen and adult designs for Hilda and Frida, with Hilda's troll forms included, as that's the time frame in which the majority of AU takes place (also ft. Arch-Sorceress Frida) and also included Frankie because he's also a part of the AU! Beloved child :)

I designed Folk music Trolls cause I stayed up all night listening to fleet foxes and that was a good and strong choice for me to make and I definitely don't regret it now while I do jobs
I thought that they'd be like an offshoot of the country centaur trolls who live at the edge of the forest, and have ended up a bit deer-ish as they evolved.
Also cause trolls world is all fluff and knit and quilted stuff, thought their thing could be embroidery, shoutout domestic folk crafts

Trolls Theory: Folk Trolls
I like to think Folk Trolls exist in the universe of Dreamworks' Trolls, maybe as subtribe or subspecies of Country Trolls.
I mean, look at Guy Diamond and his son. Glitter Trolls are a subtribe of Pop Trolls, and Tiny Diamond is a rapper despite technically being a Pop Troll. Then again, Pop Trolls probably used to intermingle with other tribes in days of yore, so maybe Guy Diamond is a descendant of a Rap Troll or he intermingled with a troll who is (assuming he didn't make Tiny Diamond himself). Okay, I'm getting off-track here.
In real life, Country came from Folk if my research is correct. In the universe of Dreamworks' Trolls, Folk would've come from Country if Country is a primary genre in-universe. Therefore it would make sense if Folk Trolls were to pop out of Country Trolls on occasion.
