Test riding the new foldie. Somehow the 1st leg was not captured, but Strava at least knew what's up. Xiaomi Wear just conked up. Also, people on the rail corridor should need to go take the highway code. Most don't give a hoot when and overtake or take up 2/3 of the entire width when facing oncoming traffic. Multiple ebrakes make for a pair of sore knees. Bike dobrável

Muito mais legal do que você imagina

Praticidade e mobilidade são os novos mantras dum estilo de vida nômade que venho adotando cada vez mais. Pensando nisso e na busca de uma nova bike, acabei me interessando numa novidade que aos poucos está ganhando espaço nas ruas e ciclovias de São Paulo, as bicicletas dobráveis.

Depois de fuçar em algumas bicicletarias de Sampa e na internet, peguei uma Durban Bay Pro. A princípio está sendo uma experiência um tanto quanto diferente de pedalar numa mountain bike, que tenho mais costume, mas por enquanto o trial está indo muito bem.

Porém como tudo na vida, temos suas vantagens e desvantagens:

Prós

Mobilidade Intercale num percurso a bike com transporte público (fora do horário de pico) e esqueça a dor de cabeça de pegar trânsito, procurar vagas ou ter que pagar estacionamento.

Praticidade Deixe sua bike em qualquer lugar, seja em casa, apartamento, trabalho, mercado… ela vai ocupar um espaço muito menor se comparada a uma bike comum.

Viagens Ponha sua bike com facilidade no porta malas do carro, bagageiro do ônibus ou até mesmo despachando como bagagem comum num avião.

Saúde e meio ambiente Isso vale para qualquer bike né? Um ótimo exercício com emissão zero de poluentes.

Contras

Velocidade Essa é uma bike para se curtir o percurso com calma, sem pressa… Nada de fazer um downhill com ela.

Fragilidade Num invente de fazer um offroad passando por todos os buracos, desníveis, pedras ou terra que encontrar pela frente, as peças são frágeis mesmo!

Componentes Não tão bons quanto parecem, aos poucos algumas trocas se fazem necessárias.

Preço Infelizmente no Brasil tudo é mais caro. Talvez bananas e feijão não sejam, mas de resto… A ganância do povo e do governo pesam na hora comprar uma bike dobrável por aqui.

Conclusão

Boa para iniciantes no pedal, para quem já tem certa experiência e está a procura de mais uma magrela para fazer parte de sua coleção ou principalmente na questão de mobilidade urbana ou levar em viagens para pedaladas calmas, certeza que uma bike dobrável vai ser um belo presente para se dar!

Ps.: Muitas delas vem com um bagageiro. Bote as coisas ali e pedale numa boa carregando suas compras, malas…

On my bag-test trip in Germany, I had problems with the bottom bending to touch the front wheel. I sewed a 3mm PET plate inside the bottom of the bag, and a 1.5 mm outside where the tire had made a hole. Now the bottom of the bag is flat. I have tested it In single trail conditions to reach the station.
