i don't remember which ask meme this was for anon because i totally forgot to respond to it not in my head 😎 lol so sorry i think it was the first kiss one right??? i'm gonna totally just say a bunch of sonfinite stuff to make up for this though

ok yeah there are slight (major) spoilers for Follow You if anyone cares dowksksk let's go

so like, when infinite "finn" the jackal becomes a frequent sonic cast member because he's shadow's roomie now, sonic is Conflicted. well, he's kinda emotionally attached to shadow (pspsps for the sonadow shippers but it's more like a therapeutic spiritual thing that's qpr if anything) but he KNOWS that even if they don't say anything that dog&hog are a thing and he can't hate finn.

like, yeah, he knows finn is infinite and than everyone knows finn is infinite and has been pretending to believe the lie for sonic's sake, but he knows and is pretending bc it's awkward and he doesn't care for some reason, because finn is actually a really cool guy and he kinda comes to forced-peace with what he faced in forces because a) sonic didn't wanna admit he was unstable and traumatized in the first place so he can skip all the self actualization b) finn pretty???

so by accident instead of getting with shadow he totally has a thing for finn (ok both of them) BUT LIKE NOT IN A WAY he's just occasionally joining dog&hog as a rental polycule but not in a superficial way sonic just ain't there for traditional domestic relationships he likes the edgy boys tho 👉👈 like they can flirt and have non-sexual sleepovers just guys being dudes

anyways the kiss??? yeah well sonic definitely kisses finn (who was fucking oblivious) and it's after sonic encourages him to like, enjoy the party they're at (he's kinda miserable after a shadow incident) and it's this chapter/song:

sonic and finn? yeah like a 7/10 they're wonderful together as qprish

... the plot twist i was initially gonna hide but @kagulyhan was posting some god tier art of an amazing rarepair so i spilled the beans in solidarity:

ehem, fleetway & infinite???!?!?! 11/10 GOD TIER

the short answer is that sonic is currently (in my canon) off limits from turning super in the fear that his current trauma suppression and instability will bring out fleetway and he won't revert back

... so of course when he has to rush in and go super because shadow accidentally slipped into some weird dark hyper mode that only happens this one time and kinda thrashes him around a bit bc mephiles and maria and the dome of "being allowed to beat the shit out of your op friends" (SHORT ANSWER WE'RE TAKING SOME L'S HERE) anyways yeah Fleets is back and so is Infinite (long story)

but not like, as villains. as anti-heroes who endlessly enable one another and now that sonic has a sense of peace of stability with fleets (a friend like infinite when in that mode) he can go super/fleets instantly without the chaos emeralds. WICKED, NEW ABILITY DROPPED!

so yes they're cute qpr friendsish who also kiss and flirt and dance together but like in a self-reluctant way but also while mutually having a thing for shadow to varying degrees.

ultimately, sonfinite is REALLY GOOD but in my canon and therefore most of my aus and general stances on sonic ships, it requires infinite and shadow as an already existing or budding thing. sorry to throw you in with the lot anon, but it's as genuinely complimenty as i can get!!! everyone can have some dog as a treat :")
