𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗮’𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝘆𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀… In April, I attended an event in Palm Beach Florida for ad professionals and copywriters. We ate delicious meals, had great conversations, and spent time with lots of wonderful people. My favorite part of the event was when Todd Skousen asked us to – pick winner and loser headlines. I loved it… And I was able to pick them correctly nearly every time. Because I was mentored by one of America’s top hypnotists, who taught me to rate words and phrases for their strength and emotional appeal and to write my ads in – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹, 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲. It’s been a game changer for me and my clients ever since. Yet because people react 2.5x more to fear, loss, and pain than to reward and gain – many copywriters have been going with a negative approach in their ads and headlines. While some products may do well – (when carefully done) every one of the financial winners had a positive headline (like the ads I write). Because we all buy when we are in a positive state. After his presentation I got with Todd and asked about one of their ads. It turns out my favorite financial ad of the year - is their biggest winner. “𝗗𝗼 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻... 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝟯 “𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼𝘀” 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿.” Notice the headline builds authority by saying 𝗪𝗵𝗼 it’s for and 𝗛𝗼𝘄 it benefits… The 𝗪𝗵𝗼 is someone who wants to make money investing yet feels left out – because they didn’t see the Bitcoin trend soon enough.
