Passengers (2016 film)
I haven’t watched the film but i looked it up on Wikipedia so that will do.
All people on the spaceship are asleep but the main guy is accidentally woken up early on his own which is dead unlucky, but if he didn’t he wouldn’t be the main guy in the film so thats good for him.
Its like Mass Effect where they all sleep on the ships before they get to where there going and this guy woke up like 90 years early so you can see how wounded you would be if that happened, but there is a robot bartender so thats cool, but from what Martin said the bartender is a bit of a dick because he won’t make the main guy all the best stuff.
I think this actually turns the main guy into a dick because then he wakes up this pretty girl so they can die before they get to the destination together but he doesn’t tell her that and he makes the robot promise not to as well.
Then after a hilarious mix up the robot tells the girl what the main guy did and she’s pissed at him. Then loads of stuff happens where they eventually make friends again, at some point there is a guy called gus but i got bored of reading the Wikipedia by then.
In Summary apparently the film is shit but i think it looks good, although there's no point watching it now because i've already read most of the sortie on Wikipedia. Instead just watch Goldeneye because its really good.

JOLIET – Former Joliet resident Corey Grant is living in Los Angeles, California, and making movies for a living. His recent release, “Illicit,” is about the dynamics that occur when both a husband and wife are simultaneously having affairs, a topic Grant found intriguing. Usually movies portray either the husband or the wife – most often the husband, Grant said. “How about both at the same time and see what happens?” Grant said. Grant studied mass communication at Norfolk State University in Virginia, and he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1999. He then worked for an NBC affiliate, all the while dreaming of studying film at Howard University in Washington, D.C. It was a dream borne from watching science fiction movies during childhood. “Being a kid, filmmaking was very magical,” Grant said. “I grew up with ‘Star Wars’ and the golden age of filmmaking. It left a lasting effect on me.” But it was during Joliet West High School drama class that Grant fell in love with directing and scriptwriting, because a teacher insisted her students do both. Grant saw his words come alive. And he liked it. Grant finally wound up at Howard University, where he earned his master’s in 2003 and he made his first feature film. He played it at a 2,000-seat theater at the university, charging $10 to $12 a ticket.

No están todas, pero son los que alcancé a ver, aún me falta mirar las películas que van para premios. “American Honey” (pronto en Netflix), “Jackie”, “La La Land”, “Manchester by the Sea” , “Neruda”, “Bellas de Noche”, “Elle”, “Nocurnal Animals” y muchas otras que espero lleguen o vea pronto. Al contrario de años pasados, el 2016 dejó buen cine (así como muchas perdidas, desilusiones, y situaciones a nivel mundial). Ojala el 2017 sea fructífero tanto cinematográficamente así como en aspectos generales y mundiales.
Sin orden, enlisto las obras (de verdad, esto es genial, nunca tengo tantas).
La Bruja (The Witch, USA)
No es la típica cinta de terror. Produce tensión e incomodidad, no hay necesidad de portazos para asustar. Recuerda a esas historias que la abuela o la (mi) tía abuela contaba a la “se dice que…”
Everybody Wants Some!! (USA)
Baseball, los ochentas, nostálgica, atractivo elenco, inspiradora ¿qué mas se puede pedir?
Dos Tipos Peligrosos (The Nice Guys, USA)
Posee una trama que hace honor a las series y películas detectivescas. Es irreverente, fresca, sarcástica, divertida y plagada de humor negro. Demostró que Russell Crowe sigue vigente y que Ryan Gosling puede hacer comedia ¡Ah, mención especial al descubrimiento, Angourie Rice!
A Bigger Splash (Italia)
Aunque es un remake, lo sobresaliente es la fotografía que rodea el ambiente cargado de tensión y conflicto que se pronuncia más gracias a las actuaciones de sus cuatro protagonistas: Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson y Matthias Schoenaerts.
Me estas matando Susana (México)
Abarca un comentario amplio entre la transposición de la novela “Ciudades Desiertas”, las relaciones y el impacto cultural. Todo esto se ve en pantalla con buen equilibrio.

P-E-L-I-C-U-L-O-N. Una crítica abierta a nuestros tiempos complicados y a la vez, cargada de esperanza y amor. Una obra de arte de la Ciencia Ficción. Amy Adams se muestra soberbia.
Rogue One: Una Historia de Star Wars (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, USA)
Tras la favorita de cada uno en Star Wars se encuentra Rogue One, una cinta madura en varios aspectos, con homenajes sin llegar a copiar trama (como The Force Awakens), cameos que se agradecen, y una historia que cambia la perspectiva inicial de “Una Nueva Esperanza”. Todo lo incluido en la cinta es fortaleza para su sustentabilidad pero hay dos aspectos grandes: el elenco y la música de Giacchino. Perdón, agreguemos algo más: Pasión por Star Wars.
