Hey guys,
We all know I adore Fenty Beauty but me and their original mascara never really got along. I loved the formula but it just didn’t sit well on my eyes so I gave their mascaras a break, however they recently brought out a new mascara and I am obsessed!!! So today we are chatting about the Fenty Beauty Hella Thicc Volumizing Mascara ,£19.00.
Unlike the original mascara, this version is all about giving you that full, bold , volumised lash effect on your lashes. I honestly love everything about the mascara, the applicator grabs every lash and really opens your eyes up. I also find that formula wise this mascara sits so much better on my eyes. It doesn’t transfer, it lasts all day and the volumised effect does not fade during the day. Honestly my lashes looked as good at 10pm as they did at 8am. It's crazy.
Personally I prefer this formula to the original mascara so much better. It wears like a dream, it matches all the claims about giving volume, it gives you that perfect fake lash effect effortlessly. I can also confirm that you can build up this formula to get your perfect lash. Sometimes I give myself a spider lash with this mascara and honestly it looks damn good! So if you have issues with your mascara moving around I would really recommend checking this one out. It comes in full size and travel size if you would rather try a small size first.
As always all products mentioned in my blog post are linked above!
Lots of love

Celebrity skincare/makeup brands
Tumblr media
Rihanna,Hailey, Selena G, Ariana, Kim,Kylie, JLo, Gwenyth Paltrow, Gwen Stefani, Millie Bobby Brown, Alicia Keys, Gaga, Halsey, Jessica Alba. What do these female celebrities have in common? Well they either have a makeup, skincare, or beauty brand. It’s like every other month some celebrity decides they have the magical products to perfect skin. Now there is some where it makes sense why they would start a beauty brand like Rihanna, Kim, Kylie, Lady Gaga and Halsey because they are known for their beauty or makeup looks. I also will say that Selena Gomez gets a pass because she made a brand that targeted a certain type of makeup customers. I feel that Rare beauty is for people who wear a more natural, minimalist look while I feel that Fenty is more inclusive, & Haus Laboratories and About Face are more for creative, loud looks. As much as I love Ariana, I don’t really understand why she came out with a makeup brand because although she has an iconic look, I wouldn’t say it was because of her makeup, she’s also releasing a skincare brand. I also looked at the promotion pics and although I haven’t seen any reviews,it looks a little basic or different to the other popular celeb brands. I would also like to mention the male beauty brands, specifically the nail polish brands: Harry styles, pleasing and Mgk’s UN/DN. I haven’t really seen anyone really talk about Harry’s brand but Mgk has been really good at promoting it and has a clear vision/aesthetic which I think Harry needs to learn from mgk if he is serious about it. I will say that the shape of Harry’s nail polish is very cool, he just needs to promote it better. This is the one thing I have a problem with celeb beauty brands is that they either have bad promotion, are basic products that are overpriced or the skincare products don’t even work or are sometimes harmful to the skin. Like I’m pretty sure, Hailey, Jlo ,Jessica, Gwenyth, Kylie, Kim aren’t certified dermatologists and clear skin is most likely due to cosmetic doctors. Kylie’s face scrub, for example, had walnuts in it which I think some dermatologists have said that scrubs with particles could cause tearing in the face. I also think that you're not supposed to have face cleansers w/fragrance or alcohol in them. Sometimes though, celebs actually care and put in effort but I feel most see it as a way for them to get money from the public who want to look like them.

Promotion
Savage X Fenty is big on promotion. The brand uses social media platforms to advertise as well as Amazon shows.
Her biggest opportunity to promote came during the Superbowl. The face of the company, superstar Rihanna, headlined the halftime show. She took advantage of that opportunity and advertised her company. This marketing tactic earned her a boost in sales.
Rihanna's music catalog isn't her only entity experiencing a post-game surge: her makeup line Fenty Beauty—which she applied during the show—garnered $5.6 million in earned media in the first 12 hours following the game, and her lingerie line Savage x Fenty earned $2.6 million, according to Launchmetrics.

The Influencers
Black Women in the Beauty Industry
Tumblr media
BIPOC are too often excluded from the beauty industry, an industry that is what it is today because of the work of Black and Brown creatives. This post will shed some very much-needed light on some women who tremendously changed the game.
MADAM C.J. WALKER
The first self-made female millionaire in history, Madam C.J. Walker was a pioneering force in the hair health and beauty industries. The entrepreneur developed a signature line of hair products, pomades, shampoos, and conditioners specifically formulated for Black women. Walker employed thousands of Black women, taught her employees about financial independence, and consistently donated to organizations like the NAACP
Tumblr media
PAT MCGRATH
Beauty mogul Pat McGrath has been shaping the fashion industry for years, conceptualizing makeup looks for literally every single runway show and magazine you can think of. She has helped countless other luxury brands, from Giorgio Armani to Dolce & Gabanna, launch cosmetics lines. Vogue‘s Anna Wintour famously proclaimed McGrath to be the “most influential makeup artist in the world,” and the Queen of England awarded her the coveted title of MBE. In short, McGrath is the most important person working in beauty today. With the opening of Pat McGrath Labs in 2015, McGrath took beauty to the ultimate next level with her own line of innovative cosmetics products.
Tumblr media
RIHANNA
Nine-time Grammy award-winning musician Rihanna is taking the beauty industry by storm. After a decade spent making chart-topping bops, Rihanna founded the skin-tone inclusive cosmetics line Fenty Beauty in 2017. The brand has quickly turned into a multi-faceted fashion empire celebrating people of all shades and sizes.
Tumblr media
JACKIE AINA
Beauty blogger Jackie Aina was the first influencer to take home the NAACP Image Award for her advocacy and activism in fighting discrimination in the beauty industry. With her transparent product reviews and tutorials, Aina is using her platform to challenge beauty brands to do better for Black women.
Tumblr media
Pushing the envelope, to say the least, these women have done more than played a part to revolutionize an entire industry.

Talks About Fenty Beauty
Tumblr media
Have you ever struggled to find a foundation that perfectly matches your skin tone? Have you ever felt excluded by a beauty industry that seemed to cater only to certain shades of skin? Rihanna certainly did, and that's why she created Fenty Beauty.
Rihanna has always been a champion of diversity and inclusivity, and when she noticed the lack of options for people with darker skin tones in the beauty industry, she decided to do something about it. She created Fenty Beauty, a brand that not only offers a wide range of shades, but celebrates the uniqueness and individuality of every person.
One of the standout products from Fenty Beauty is the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. This foundation not only comes in 50 shades, but is also a medium to full coverage formula that can be built up for more coverage. It's long-wearing and resistant to sweat and humidity, making it a go-to choice for those who need their makeup to last all day.
But Fenty Beauty's foundation isn't just about the formula - it's about the message behind it. By offering a wide range of shades and celebrating diversity, Fenty Beauty is making a statement about the importance of inclusivity in the beauty industry. Every person deserves to feel beautiful and represented, and Fenty Beauty is making that a reality.
When it comes to applying Fenty Beauty's foundation, there are a few tips to keep in mind. Start with a clean, moisturized face, and choose your application method - whether it be a brush, sponge, or your fingers. Use a small amount of foundation to start, as the formula is highly pigmented, and build up coverage as needed. Blend well for a seamless finish, and set with a powder for long-lasting wear.
Fenty Beauty's Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation can be purchased at Sephora stores and online at sephora.com. Don't forget to share your Fenty Beauty looks and reviews on social media using the hashtags #fenty #fentybeauty #sephora #sephorausa #sephoracanada #riri #badgalriri #rihanna #beauty #beautyreviews #theglowupreviews #makeup #makeup #beautyinfluencer. Join the movement towards inclusivity and celebrate your individuality with Fenty Beauty.

Hi guys,
We finally have a new Kylie Cosmetics lip product. We all know Kylie is famous for her liquid lipstick formula and now in her vegan formula she has released a collection of matte and creme bullet lipsticks. I have only ever tried her liquid lipstick formula so I'm really excited to try something new . Since I have enough matte lipsticks for now I decided to get one of Creme Lipsticks (£22.00) in shade 333 Not Sorry.
Before we get into this lipstick itself let's chat about the packaging. When I picked up the lipstick I originally thought I got the wrong shade because the outer packaging had a red lipstick swatch on the front but it turns out they all do so don't let that trick you. The lipstick itself is in the very pretty baby pink Kylie Cosmetics packaging with Kylie's name across the bottom of the lipstick.
Now back to the Not Sorry Lipstick, I picked this shade because it was the lightest shade in the shade range. It's a gorgeous pink toned nude shade that I personally would like everyday. This formula is a creamy lipstick so it sits on the lips effortlessly but has longer lasting  colour  payoff compared to other creme formulas. Now do you need this product? If you are a fan of Kylie Cosmetics and are a bit over liquid lipsticks then I think you're gonna like this formula. But I would say you can find some gorgeous cream lipsticks at the drugstore for half the price.
As always all products mentioned in my blog post are linked above!

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m having a pretty darn good day. I’m having an unusually low pain level day (I’m at a level 3 for the first time in 4 years), I have so much energy today (was even able to shower and still had enough energy to do my hair and makeup and I had therapy today and got to talk about the panic attacks and how the new medication is working out…
