Throwback Thursday!
Got tummy rubs?
I had to laugh when I noticed the cloth Simon was laying on. I literally gave the little dude the shirt off of my back to use as a security blanket because he was going through separation anxiety around the time we moved to the new apartment. The little guy would thump whenever I was out of his sight for more than 10 minutes. He kept that shirt for years until it got too well-loved to keep! 💕

random post but i've been thinking about this since i compiled hollywood u's quests on the spreadsheet: hwu's main quests output was INSANE. the game had (overall) 57 quests from dec 2014 to mar 2017, but most of these quests were all released in the FIRST HALF of 2015.
the game was released on december 10th, 2014. by february 2015, the game was already on level 17. this is the plotline where you (eventually) find out who the mysterious benefactor is.
by july 2015, the game already had 39 quests. yes, unlike high school story, hwu had a quest per level (except level 11, with two). but these quests were MASSIVE and released almost weekly. well, mostly:
it starts slowing down around september 2015, with two quests a month. no quest in december. then, one in january and another one in APRIL. remember: this game turned one in december 2015.
the game is idle for most of 2016. if you were here back then... you remember it.
it gets to level 53 in july 2016. this is also the last quest available locally. then a new main quest is only released half a year later in jan 2017. and the last two quests by the end of march that year.
this game existed from 2014 to 2017, so three years. but it really was from 2015 to 2017. two years. but it REALLY was from 2015 to 2016. but actually....... most of the main quests were released in 2015. this is crazy?! of course i'm only talking about the main plotline, but hwu didn't have that many side quests like hss did.
hss had more main quests overall (like. double the number. 106 in total), and the game was around from 2013 to 2018. so, more time, too. the game also got idle around 2016 (choices. iykyk). but it's not like they had released 70% of their quests in the game's first 6 months?! that would've been ~74 quests!!!!
obviously. i don't THINK they thought hwu would be a "short" game (in comparison to hss). the main character never even finishes the EGOD plotline that started on level 46. and i can only say this in hindsight. but wow... a moment to be alive.
