“The Book of Henry” - one of my favorite movies!

Here's the summary for you:

The genius Henry Carpenter and his younger brother Peter are raised by their single mother, Susan, a waitress who writes picture books for children. Henry used his intelligence to effectively invest in the stock market, establishing for his family. Henry also protects Peter from a school bully. One day, during the weekend, Henry saw Christina who is their next-door neighbor being harassed by the local police commissioner, Glenn, her stepfather. Henry reports the abuse to social workers and to the school principal, but Glenn has connections in the local authority. Henry is unable to get the law enforcement agencies to start up a serious investigation for Glenn that would protect Cristina. Henry advises his mother about the trouble and said that when someone is in trouble, those who can help must take action. He makes a thorough strategy that he memorializes in a diary to save Christina. But later on, Henry died because of a brain tumor. Susan works on a plan for Henry. In launching an investigation, Susan tries but fails, to persuade a local social welfare department. One night, She approaches Glenn immediately and informs him that she's going to report him for what he did to Cristina. Glenn returns home and learns that his abuse of Christina is being investigated. When the police arrive at his door, Glenn kills himself. Susan adopts Christina as her daughter legally.
