People are still trying to say consequences of war (in this case stress induced miscarriages) are actually an intentional attempt at genocide of Palestinians and I am just so annoyed. Unless they can prove Israel is causing these women to miscarriage with full intent it isn’t genocide. They know this deep down they just don’t care

Boy, do I wish the entire Facebook-driven listicle pseudomedia complex would just fucking die already. Uproxx, Buzzfeed, Kotaku, Jezebel, they're all just gossipy op-eds meant to be Shared instead of understood. The real, professional press can be bad enough with spreading fake reports from shifty sources; algorithmic tabloids are beneath contempt.
Jezebel's "Israel" tag includes SEVEN articles about how particularly bad this war has supposedly been for pregnant women. And I'm sure it has been bad. But they have nothing devoted to the 10/7 attack, nothing on the sexual violence against Israeli women, except once where they complain people try to use it to change the subject. The outlet's undisguised lack of sympathy for Israeli women targeted by Hamas makes it hard to take their complaints, or their advocacy for women, at face value.
Also, I remember the "sonic boom miscarriages" allegations that were also reported by Gaza health sources, and that were propagated by The Lancet during the same time period when they turned their pages over to KKK-meme shitlords who warned about Jewish economic conspiracies. Funny how in the history of warfare since jets went supersonic, people only ever claimed they cause miscarriages in Gaza and nowhere else, and then they stopped claiming it.

This isn’t activism, this is just pure attention seeking from two privileged idiots.
Also how does vandalizing a century old painting have any correlation with fossil fuel emissions?

Quote
People in the UK are at risk of dying from natural gas shortages. Still, the climate activists with “Just Stop Oil” think it’s outrageous that their government is desperately trying to produce more natural gas for its people. But without more natural gas, there could be three-hour-long blackouts, which threaten the operation of medical equipment, and thus the lives of vulnerable people. The various media stunts appeared authentically grassroots but were, in fact, financed by a $1 million grant from a philanthropic group called Climate Emergency Fund, which is funded by their heirs to the Getty and Rockefeller oil fortunes, and founded in 2019. The Board of Directors consists of a who’s-who of climate alarmism including “Don’t Look Up!” film director, Adam McKay, who donated $4 million, New Yorker writer Bill McKibben, and New York Times columnist David Wallace-Wells. The Fund and their grantees have been cheered on by the Secretary General of the United Nations and much of the mainstream media.

Probably my most unpopular take yet.
Stop making celebs speak on things. Use your own platform!
People want to spend more time pressuring celebrities with no power to speak on war, instead of actually y’know, pressuring their government to stop funding it.
Go leave your hate comments on Joe Biden’s page babe, it’ll get the message directly to the right person.

It's always a question whether someone genuinely supports a movement or is just there for the money.
Usually, it comes down to what happens when they're asked to do something for the movement while having a clear excuse to get away with doing nothing.
If they choose to do nothing, chances are they don't give a fuck.

Over 1000 people murdered because Israel bombed a HOSPITAL and proceeded to defend it by first lying and saying it was a Hamas misfire and then secondly outright admitting that they told them to evacuate then continued to destroy it anyway yet the media and stupid fucks online will insist this is a “war on both sides.”

Round 1 | Poll 15
Tumblr media Tumblr media
~ Note: This poll is being done out of a genuine love and affection for these types of characters! Please keep that in mind when adding commentary.
Propaganda under the cut!
Britta:
~ When someone fucks up the in canon verb is that they britta’d it
~ The big joke of her character is that she's annoying and can't do anything right. She's a very negative person and rains on others' parades. She's like, kind of an activist, except without any of the activism. She's very "down with the man" except she doesn't really know or care who the man is.
~ Britta likes to pretend shes an anarchist but shes always fighting for a silly cause.
Dio:
~ He dresses like a circus ringleader, he is full of himself and full of shit, he doesn't hesitate to kill a child. He manipulates and lies to serve his goal which is the destruction of mankind <3

Ĺove her parodies. She was allegedly told to cover up, hence why she was late and still didn't care. #Not a woman's right activist.

Guy who can see the dead, but he's being treated for schizophrenia and the meds don't do much but the whole 'make sure someone else can see whoever you're being introduced to' policy is working out. Who's that woman standing over the baby? Oh, she doesn't exist? Probably fine then.
And it is probably fine, because most people die gently these days! Everyone talks about what a good baby he was (because his dead grandparents would put him back to sleep when he stirred). Every so often he waves at someone in the street and is told they died a week ago (awkward, schizophrenia, sorry).
And then he goes to a military graveyard.

How nice to spend a year or however long making the most insulting tiktoks about womanhood, presenting women as twirling skirts and the color pink, and then decide that actually you’re ready for a more masculine look, so nvm about all that

#Just read a disquieting rumour that my ex was faking being indigenous.#Which...#I mean#I didn't see the evidence#All that I know is that this call-out post went up about 9 months ago in indigenous facebook groups#and my ex's entire online presence was apparently immediately scrubbed afterwards#which i'm only learning just now because honestly i've broken off all contact with them and with the rest of their friends#but like...it kinda wouldn't surprise me?#but the thing was they were an extremely militant decolonization activist#like they would go on long angry rants about appropriation and 'pretendians' and how terrible they were#but also like...they didn't really identify as indigenous until i think a year or so into our relationship?#and at the time i just figured ''whatever they're reconnecting with their roots''#(I'm not indigenous; I don't know how these things work)#but then they started speaking sporadically in a fake accent when around other Native people and going on about how 'Rez' they were#and like...'Rez'. Mate.#I know for a fact that you grew up in a $10 million house in Hawaii#(at least I assume it was a fact)#And they were a big fan of using social justice arguments and language as a pretext for abusing me.#And if it was a lie then. Well. It would be very much in character for them let me just say.#Like they lied constantly to other people. I just...I guess I assumed that I was an exception?#Or that they wouldn't lie about the big stuff. Especially when they acted so vociferously angry about it.#But yeah. Trying to assume the absolute most marginalised social identity they can for clout sounds very much like something they would do.

Performative activism. Loathe it so much. Because people always claim valuing and respecting and wanting to hear indigenous voices until we actually speak and want to discuss them then there’s not a single rats ass given.

It's shit like this that's why I write so many posts about these Palestine cosplayers faking concern for some people because they hate others:
Tumblr media
Syrians only count as human to these people when they lie about events that did happen to Syria and count on nobody noticing when they're lifting the atrocities they denied or relished a few years ago and relabeling them as Palestinians to suddenly admit their favorite failson actually was killing people all along. This is not human rights, this is selective empathy and humanity for the few.

anyone who's ever taken a creative writing class knows that the best part of it isn't feedback or the great tips you learn, it's getting to read the most batshit insane pieces of writing you have ever seen and immediately telling everyone you know about them so you can all make fun of the poem about alcoholism written by someone who wants to be an alcoholic soooo bad
